Here is a complete review of our new Burris fast fire 4 from unboxing to mounting on the gun! We absolutely love this new sight, everything about it just makes sense. We hope you enjoy the review!
Just installed a Fast Fire 3 on a pic rail. I took your advice and mounted it all the way forward. I agree on the field of view it gives me. Now I've got to get it patterned and dialed in on my turkey loads. Thanks for sharing and good luck this turkey season.
Waiting to get my Beretta APX A1 and mount the Burris fast fire four.Enjoyed your great review covering all the great features on this optic.Your comment on mounting of sight forward on a shotgun makes perfect sense from an experienced hunter. Thanks for the great video and enjoy this turkey season.
I know this more ideal for turkey hunting. But do you think it could be used well for waterfowling? What MOA would you recommend for duck and geese hunting? I like the speedbead mount to line more up with the rib and front bead. Any thoughts would be awesome.
I have a very similar setup I just purchased and have found the Tristar isn’t cycling rounds from the mag. I just shot 50 rounds and not a single one even ejected. Hope you’re having better luck with yours than I am!
@@Jube450 you don’t suppose it’s the rounds your running? I have 2 different 12 gauges and low brass rounds tbey won’t cycle at all, I’ve only shot high turkey loads. Not that It should matter, but a thought
@@DIYHunter I’ve ran tss loads and high brass 7.5’s out of it and neither work. I read on GobblerNation someone said it takes upwards of 100 rounds to break in, which I find absurd. I’m at 60 rounds and still notta. Calling TriStar tomorrow and taking it to a local gunsmith to have a look over.
Question I know a lot of people use red dots for turkey hunting, do you ever feel like you’ve spooked a turkey with the glare of the lense since it is red?
Glare on our lenses aren’t red not sure I’ve really ever seen that. And they have sun shields. So I’d say definitely not. More of an issue off our camera lenses for sure
Not the red dot for you if you are going to put the shotgun through a lot of abuse. Had mine sighted in and after throwing it in the boot of the quad for a few hunting trips the red dot was off by close to 4 feet on horizontal aim. Would not hold zero.
@@DIYHunter I just got mine today, paid $317. Feeling is there is too much going on with the reticle option. The 11 moa + 3 moa center kind of have no use. The dot and the circle wing is useful. The cover is made of plastic. I like the versatility of it but having already too many purpose made red dot, this one only work if this is all u have. I wish there was more brightness settings.
