Great review. I like your delivery -- no monkeying around. You get right to the meat of things. I've been on the fence with these two sights, but am leaning towards the Burris. Thanks!
I wish one of them had a wart someplace so I could have declared one better than the other but so far I like them both. The 8 MOA dot is certainly for 50 yards or less. Of course most of my use will be 35 yards and closer. If I find anything in the next few months I will come back and report on it. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for the info. I think I'll try one of the two on my Victory. I have a TrueGlo on it now that has worked well but it's a bit higher. I put a Tandem Kross trigger in that Victory and It's worth every penny of the cost. I went from a 4.3 to a 2.2 pound pull and my shooting has improved.
I like Vortex myself. I think it will be a neck and neck contest as to which of these I use for the steel challenge. Maybe a different one each month. Glad to see you back on youtube. Thanks for stopping by.
I've learned a lot about gun accessories from your channel, without having to buy anything. I've had more than a few guns, but mostly I just pointed and squeezed them at varmints.
Nice review. I am looking at these two red dots. The Burris has fewer intensity settings, but I have a Vortex with 10 settings and don't care for all that. If the Burris warranty is a good as Vortex, then it will be hard to decide.
I see most people are using these for competition but I plan to use the Burris I just purchased on a Ruger Super Blackhawk 10.5 for hunting. I can’t seem to focus the iron sights in the shadows anymore and this should be just the ticket.
Great review. You do a very good job explaining all of the important things without going on forever like some people on youtube do that like to hear themselves talk. Do you think that the Burris Fastfire 3 would work well with a Browning Maxus 12 gauge shotgun? It is used for deer hunting in SE Virginia. We hunt with dogs and most of the shots would be at running deer. Thanks.
I suppose that is why they have so many flavors of ice cream at Baskin Robbins. I would mix the features of both of them if I could and that would be a much better sight than either of them. I like them both but right now I find the 8 MOA dot makes me faster so I am using the Burris most. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Harold it’s a strange and greedy world we live in. I have tried to buy some items from the USA export restrictions comes up often funny because I am in Australia that said one reason is greed most things here cost more than double + one example AR mags over $150 each if you have a cat D licence $75 to $100 for most 10 shot mags most Ruger savage hunting rifles over $1000 all optics cant be shipped here we can buy them here but crazy cost if we do get it here no lifetime warranty unless it was purchased here . the new sig sauer combo scope + rangefinder double the price marlin .22 or .17 over $500 Rifle licences can take over 5 to 9 months hand gun licence 1 year if your luck and can only be used at the pistol club You guys are lucky to still have rights don’t let the government take them away like they did here
I am not sure how long we can hold out. We have a billionaire who puts hundreds of millions of dollars into gun confiscation every year and he already owns the press. Our only hope is possibly another billionaire with an opposite viewpoint to Bloomberg. I am afraid that before it is all done he will buy the entire bill of rights. Thanks for stopping by.
