Well, you convinced me haha. Was debating for a while on making the switch from the walrus R1 to this. It’s(walrus) a GREAT pedal, but I wanted more simplicity and that amazing ambient sound. And THANK YOU for the discount.
Hmm, to me it's sounds like the new version is a little less pronounced than the 2.0. It seems the mod, shimmer and anti effects on the old one were louder or somehow more pronounced. I've heard a handful of comparisons and they all give me that impression. From what I've heard I prefer the 2.0 - I have never tried any of them myself, I should admit.
Sounds like a very pleasing shimmer. I love my Cloudburst and the Anti-shimmer seems a bit like the ensemble mode. My only gripe about the CB is the way MIDI is handled (for thru). Wonder how this works. Nice pedal!
Except to my utter disappointment and surprise, v2 doest really do non-ambient reverb. I had instant buyers remorse. I got mine 8 months ago and I wish I had just returned it. For some odd reason, I expected a fully midi pedal with a flash rom to have software updates.
I bought this pedal and do like all the reverbs and pair with my HX Stomp. What I don’t like is trying to remember what color combination is which reverb and switching back. If i want Spring I want what color? I realize midi can help with that on presets or you use the preset button but the knobs are always the same so a little confusing. I’m thinking of moving to the Big Sky as everything is much more visual and can program naming conventions and/or with midi thru. Again I like all the sounds.
I’ll have to buy one and try it out I have owned just about every reverb pedal they have made and by far my Strymon big sky nothing has came close to what it can put out but this little pedal seems to pack a big punch .
