Only if you know what to look for. Definitely need a friend to help you out if you're a beginner, you might not be able to spot some things that are in bad shape and need to be replaced.
Excellent video! Thanks for including some rim brake options. The video mentions them needing adjustment but I have never found that to be the case. It’s good to know one can buy a decent bike today that doesn’t need to cost an insane amount of money.
As others have mentioned Van Rysel should be included. .my pick would be the Cannondale though anyday except for its black not a fan of black bikes 😊 Pete
GT Grade is on sale for $840, and Poseidon X-Ambition is on sale for $749. Both are worth considering for under $1k. I like these options as well; well done!
Can't decide between the Trek or Specialized models. Both are $1,200 and roughly same specs. Only difference is Trek has the wires hidden so it looks cleaner. Which is better long term?
@@haririod1139 Weiight does matter when you are carrying it up, but "the most" is a big issue. It is a good indicator of what this is made of. There is aluminum that is like a brick, and aluminum almost as good as steel. My bikes are mostly alu, although some with cf stays.
The Triban RC 520 with Shimano 105 has been out of stock for quite some time now. (At least where I'm at) Decathlon currently only offers this bike with Microshift, which is the only reason for me not to buy one.
@Dannyboi669 I'm 260 lbs, about to make a purchase soon. I'm not familiar with hydraulic brakes. Is it noticeable difference between hydraulic & wired disc brakes?
