Vader's armor is specifically designed to be weak against electricity. Palpatine had it designed that way as a fail safe. If Vader were to turn force lightning could then be used.
@TheMilkMan8008
@TheMilkMan8008 8 месяцев назад
Actually, Darth Vaders' original suit was designed by Palpatine to be vulnerable to force lightning among many other hinderences. It was a way to control him and keep him in check. He had another suit built for him whenever he was sure of him, but Vader refused it for a couple of reasons. His suit actually has quite a few weaknesses because Palpatine wanted control. Not only that, but because the suit is connected to vital parts and processes of his body, if he were to get enough electricity, his suit could stop working, which would kill him.
@CrippledMerc
@CrippledMerc 7 месяцев назад
I believe he kept using his original, at least for a while, because it caused him constant pain which fueled his rage and hatred, which in turn fueled his dark side powers causing them to be stronger. I know a bit of SW lore but I’m certainly no expert. I think he did eventually switch to using the newer suit though.
@TheMilkMan8008
@TheMilkMan8008 7 месяцев назад
@@CrippledMerc that was part of it, but it was also risky to switch. He could die in the process because of how integrated his body was with the original and did not care to take the risk

Hey, a Brazilian channel called "Manual do Mundo" made a video 4y ago visiting a live nuclear powerplant, showing almost everything there's to see. The channel is kinda big and newer videos have options to different languages but this one, as far as I can tell, will be subtitle dependent, hahah. I'm more than willing to help you out translating it in any way you like, just reply me here. The video, in case you are interested, is titled as "Entramos na usina nuclear..." I think it would be awesome, even if you only describe what you see...

i got a pretty decent shock through my pants on a big stainless steel pipe from a single phase of 240V so it tingled quite a bit, thick dry pants though so i think it was mostly fine with a low ish current, was switching some wires on a valve that had been flipped by accident by the same person fixing it just a quick mistake because i was in a hurry, the hot side of the cooling rig had a heat-exchanger to glycol, trans critical co2 rig so naturally the pressure increased because the valve closed differently from what it should have, and flooded the entire basement of a football stadium with co2, not that heavy, and the fire department got there quickly when the valve blew, unfortunately the hose for the safety valve to blow its co2 up on the roof was not attached properly and fell off when the valve blew. the hose wasn't my fault though, i think if i remember correctly someone had taken it off to change the valve or something. that was pretty silly, the shock felt pretty mild though more like stepping into cold water and getting a bit tense than feeling hurt really, small contact with my finger to bad large contact on my pants, was fine i think haven't had any problems. but its probably not a good idea to loosen two live wires at the same time while sitting on stainless steel. apart from that i think i was pretty good about safety when i worked with my hands, except maybe rally driving a few times with a fully loaded hiace xD, fully sideways at 50 mph in the woods with a hiace is funny and sketchy, with acetylene and oxygen bottles strapped behind the door its just a bit more interesting. was fine, didn't push it too far, but apropos. also shot a potato cannon with acetylene and oxygen in the gun, it was quite a lot more powerful than hairspray and air. but that's about what i did at work, apart from not sleeping enough, which is harmful to me but also makes those other things way more dangerous, so that's probably the worst. was 2-3mm steel i think so it had some decent enough strength, properly tig welded, but i didn't dare to close the valve in it fully with an orange in the barrel.

This is one of Medhi's first videos, and the first one to go viral; he's so monotone because he's using a script and not used to being on-camera yet. (Also possibly embarrassed about his English and trying too hard to enunciate, but it's hard to tell if he's capable of embarrassment.) Other things worth watching for the humorous safety tips: anything where he works with capacitors, since they tend to explode. Also, anything with his daughter, though maybe just for yourself and not for the channel; they probably wouldn't match your style very well, but Medhi is the master of dad jokes.

not a good idea, but its generally fine to shuffle some live wires with low current just don't use two hands and don't sit in a steel pipe, but the easier thing to do is to just grab a few clamps to isolate one by one, thats usually much safer. had some safety meetings about such things, but never really worker on big powerlines or transformers since i'm not an electrician or engineer, only 100 amps or something like that or less on the power side, but mostly just done repairs to controls for relatively simple machines so its always quite straight forward to fix or rebuild to fit in another type of compressor for example, had one other electrical incident because i was an idiot and cut a live wire when dismantling a store, because one of the breakers was up side down for some reason and i didnt check that it was in fact turned off, so that was just a small metallic flash melting about a millimeter of steel of a cutting tool, no biggie that either, but it could have been with a bigger wire. had a few dumb ones like that, but always careful once i know there is load or water or loose wires ect, probably not a good idea, but nuclear power plants are much worse places to be a cowboy. honestly i didnt do a lot of this, this is pretty close to my total, but its funny to think about.
