Pricey is relative. People want to pay Amazon knockoff $$ for premium products. I would rather spend $60-70 for a quality case with great materials and lifetime warranty (otterbox, gear4, etc) than I would $400+ for new glass. Or worse, $1200 for a whole new phone.
@@Jody6441 otterbox used to be awesome but ever since the rubber stopped holding up I'm getting sick of them. They'll warranty it no problem but it's like it stretches so fast you don't even feel like calling for a new one. Like it's a waste of time to get on the phone and install it. I wish they'd fix that crap cause it's been like this for a decade or so now. Back in like 2007 or so they were awesome cases. Either they changed the formula up or the phones grew enough it causes the issue and they need to change the formula. The knockoff I had the rubber held up better but the plastic belt clip was lesser quality and the plastic overall should've been nylon or some kind of reinforced plastic instead but still worked for a good while.
You are the first youtuber to say the truth about the STIFF buttons on the otterbox commuter case. I only bought that one because its what the store had when I walked in and traded up for a S23 ultra. My go to case now is UAG Monarch carbon, deepest camera cutouts.
My Mouse Limited 5.0 stopped fitting with my power button on my Galaxy 23 Ultra after 23 months. Their customer service is asking for several more videos and images and not sending a replacement. Be Warned before purchase...
The OtterBox defender is junk, I got a new Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra and got a OtterBox defender case for it and in one week of having my new phone had it in my back pocket at a wedding and I took a seat in a car to go to the front or the church and I felt a pop the case broke and cracked the screen and I told OtterBox company about it they said they couldn't do anything about it. So now I'm looking for a new company to protect my phone. I was with OtterBox since day one because they were a Colorado company and backed up their products, now they don't so now I am no longer with them.
So you sat on the case and the phone and you're complaining about a case? Did Otterbox say, their cases were bulletproof or invicible? You clearly sat on it and depending on your weight and the speed of the action, it's logical
The otterbox with the belt clip is not just for belts, it can also clip on a hikers shoulder strap clips sort of like a chest mount that can be used for vlogging
Don't hate on the belt clip! I've been using them for years! Horizontal like a boss. It also adds much more protection if you drop the thing. I've dropped my Note 10+ dozens of times and I don't even worry about it.
Love the Otterbox clear case, but in the past it has yellowed to the point it was almost brown! I wonder if there is a clear case out there that has remedied this problem...
I find that once you filter out all the cases that do not have individual camera lense cutouts, the choice comes down to a very limited selection of fine cases.
@@user-zf6od6pd3z I have settled for a UAG Metropolis 3 months ago and i am still loving it. I still am totally in love with the premium feel it adds to the phone. The raised lip is rather only present on the top and bottom, however, it has already saved my screen 2-3 times.
We’ve been using otter box, between mous and otterbox, which one is better for s23 ultra in your experience?do these cases have camera lens protection ?thanks
UAG Monarch, Carbon. Buttons click easy and has great camera protection. Carbon is the keyword because the other colors have slightly different designs
Hello, does the long term use of magsafe case like pitaka and acc on s23 ultra affect the phone? Like signal, compass, battery or anything, i mean like permanent damage Btw nice vid 🎉
Long term wise throughout the years in reference to the phone getting damage I have not experienced problems. But my cycle time with a phone is a year max. Thank you for the compliment!
great video does the patika case mag safe not work with the s pen writing on the screen let me know i heard it does. I have the latercase lol great video ill sub and like
@BaneTech oh nice, because I want to use the Peak Design Mobile Tripod on the Magbak Case. Do you think I can Vlog without having the fear that can fall the tripod from the case?
I love the Sup cases. Had one for my s5 and that thing went down a flight of stairs. Not a scratch! I have on for my s10 and it's taken a beating but the phone is immaculate.
Goodness gracious I'm glad I have YT Premium. Many many people in the Ultra market don't have the time for 27 minutes a video, sir. ⏩ Makes it okay tho' lol
I have the Poetic Neon, not to Bulky but good Protection around the lenses and.. actually all around the Screen not just top and bottom. It's might be not the prettiest of all but it's cheap and I trust this Double layer Case at my Workspace in the Warehouse.
@@BaneTech logging, lumber mills, oil rigs, construction workers, mining, etc... You know the hard working class that need armored phones. Most cases are for computer techs or a McDonald's server at best it appears. I'd say OtterBox defender should be the minimum protection for the jobs I'm thinking about and that isn't enough at times. There anything else in the defender and better class? Thanks in advance for any insight!
@naturestrail2296 gotcha... In the future I'll consider making some content about rough environment/condition work places. In the meantime, have you heard of Smallrig? They make a metal frame case for mobile filmmaking but it could be used as an everyday case too. Maybe partner it up with a skin. fave.co/4dkAaPX Also Rokform has a hard case fave.co/47Hx3Aj
You're welcome. I used to work in lawn care and landscaping. OtterBox is what I used the most back then but I'd be just as happy with a Mous and tempered glass screen protector combo.
✌️Didn’t receive a dollar from any of these companies 😂 But what is the problem with making money off of videos? It is work that goes into creating content. Do you work for free? I bank off affiliate marketing for this annual video. And it’s the annual video that performs well on my channel. Otherwise I do charge companies a fee to work on videos. Not for a promo but for the time and effort to make a video.
@Bane Tech you've done a great job at neutrally explaining each case and your prdouction on this video is great. Don't listen to this guy, obviously doesn't know how RU-vid works.
@@BaneTech Sorry. Phone was ringing wrote that to fast. I meant I do not like the P cut out for the camera. I prefer the Pitaka design with the individual cut outs. 👍👍👍. Th x 🍺🍺
