Van Damme for me was the best action hero of the 80's/90's. Sure all the other actors such as Stallone, Norris, Arnold were up there but Van Damme to me was such a badass. I think it was the moment I watched Bloodsport that made me such a huge fan of his films.

Van dammes character is coming to terms with getting memories. While lungren kept his character stuck in the same protocols and conversations of the past which later became him realising almost immortal. I like how they both gave there characters alot of personality.

Those guys in the diner were not really bad guys. One was defending his business while the others were likely defending their friends. It seems like in the 90's protag robots would go around kicking the shit out of a lot of people who were just living their lives.

i feel like its perhaps a little better than terminator 2 ...terminator 2 is a good film with great action and effects but i feel like the pacing is a little off and the music doesnt go with the action most of the time and except for the main soundtrack ofcourse

The Diner scene proves to me that Van Dam could have been a bad ass Martial Arts Terminator. I get he kinda is in this movie but I mean a legit T film. Have Cameron from 84 direct him like he did Arnie. Make him a 900 series, a bit smaller, quicker and angle than the 800 but still have an endoskeleton. Would make sense to follow that with the 1000 series.
