Good Morning Scott, I just watched your review of the Sizzapp Tracker and I tell you, I’m amazed at all the features on it! I have been contemplating purchasing the Monimoto 7, however, I’ve been hesitant due the cost after purchase, ie, the SIM card purchase and the service fee😮! The Sizzapp is by far a better choice. Thanks for the video and review and a seriously considering purchasing one for my 2023 DCT Tour😊 Loyal.

You're videos have helped me so much over the years, by far the best info for goldwings across the board. sadly my GL1500 SE is now totaled because someone abruptly turned left from the right lane and crashed me into a telephone pole then blamed me to the officer while i was ln the ambulance saying he was always in the left lane and i hit him. i proved him wrong with cctv from a bar across the street. everyone be safe out there, people DO NOT know how to drive and DO NOT care about you. guy never even got out of his car to see if i was alive or dead.
Scott, I think I know the business model. They pay for the cellular data load by selling your personal data. They know everywhere that you go, how often, what you do, etc. In today's data-generating society, user data is worth a lot of money for those who have it to sell. Carefully check the details of the user agreement. I'm not saying this product is a bad thing. We just need to weigh the value versus privacy. Thanks for doing the review. I'm going to look into this closely.
I think you're probably correct. Many times when the business model of a technology product is not discernable, in tact it is YOU that are the product.
I think you are right about them selling your personal data. but what is it I should be concerned about if they know where I ride my motorcycle ? am I missing something ?
I emailed the manufacturer to see if a ride could be shared in real time with someone that does not have the tracker. For instance if I wanted to share share my location with my wife if I was on an extended tour.
Hello Eric, that is a very nice question that you have and I have a two part answer for you. Firstly it is possible for your wife to download the app and log in with your credentials, then she will see everything you see as well as receive the notifications if they will be enabled. Secondly we are planning to release a new feature in case you do not wish for your wife to see everything, this feature is still in the development stage, but we are planning to make so you can share a limited view of the app or simply for a limited time period. my question is this, What do they do with all that info that they gather? sell it? keep it secure somewhere? I mean all the info you give them goes somewhere right?
Hello Jason, Thank you for your Quesiton. The short answer is that we do not share user data to any 3rd parties. The only times a third party could be involved would be the police, but only at times when a user wishes to find his/her vehicle. But this is also would only happen if the user wishes to involve 3rd parties. Without the users permission we are not permitted to do anything with the data available to us. Kind regards your SIZZY!
@@Sizzapp I mean, thats going to kill it right there for most people. You're saying that you would turn over things like speed and location to police? Thats a big nope for me. You need to figure out a way to encrypt all data being uploaded so that only the user is capable of seeing personal data. Any data you were "required by law" to turn over to police should be totally useless to them (encrypted).
I would actually be willing to pay a monthly fee for these types of features IF I knew for sure that the data was 100% encrypted AND that any data turned over to anyone would be useless to them.
Best review of this so far, in depth and answered the the two things I never saw on the other reviews: - power draw at idle - how does unauthorized movement detection work (engine needs to start after 10s of first movement) Seems there's a major app update.
Very good explanation and you answered my questions before I posted them. I will definately buy one, as i am in the process of shipping my 1994 Goldwing from CA to FL and a boxed truck. Just wanted to track it and also have a piece of mind that I can locate my bike at any time. I like this version, as it is wired.
Very interesting and informative review. I really appreciate the depth (power draw info) and your thoughts. I currently run the Monimoto tracker, which does it's job well. It just doesn't have much to contribute beyond the basic "your motorcycle is moving" notification. The fob is a bit of a pain to deal with as well. It is PICKY about where it sits.. which could be partly caused by where I had to put the tracker. My main concern with the Sizzy will be placement of the device. It is actually larger than I was expecting. First time I saw it in your hands it was ".. WOW... big". For a Goldwing.. yeah, lots of places. For more "naked" bikes, it won't be as easy, especially when limited to a horizontal orientation. (understandable limitation for the GPS antenna). I shall have to ponder that before I buy. One time back in 89’ came down stairs from electronics class and this dude was moving the throttle of my 84’ 1200 in and out while talking to his friend ( like if you were revving your engine ) . He was having this big convo with his friend while moving the throttle on my bike - I let that idiot know the precarious nature of messing with someone’s motorcycle - he seemed offended , so I asked him where his car was cuz me and my friends were planning to go sit on his hood and eat lunch . I have had lots of people just think it’s okay to mess with your bike. There are these signs that say to look with your eyes only but f Kers don’t get it- to stay off your ride . I have had to tell more than a few idiots to get away from my motorbike -these people will lean against your bike and kind side saddle while smoking . I have gotten pretty hostile with those … I would love to have something that tells them to bk the f up like one of those car alarms that talks and tell people they are too close . One trick that these guys in Florida on Harley’s in this club ( name not mentioned ) would do ( nothing agains Harley guys ) is they would lean a nail against your back or front tire so when you back up , you get a nice flat tire - the guys doing that were in this club and one of them was known to kick over what he said were “ rice burners “ Now full disclosure : my father was in a certain biker club ( started by war vets )that is pretty famous and they rode Harley’s and I know these bikes well but I have no comprehension of why certain people hate on other bikes . I can ride anything with two wheels and even three wheeled like those can ams which are not my favorite but I respect too. I may need to get this product but I really think an alarm or warning system with a very loud sound would be very effective . I have had 5 gold wings and I prefer them over any other bike .
Scott that is a great video very informative and ive found them for sale in the uk. On another can you send me details of your seat and more specific the riders back rest, i need that backrest.
If you buy it now it will remain free as it is. All current features and even new ones that are on the way will always be free for everyone who owns a SIZZAPP Max. What will happen once we feel ready to take the next step, nobody knows, but i can guarantee that the service as it is will remain without a monthly subscription if you manage to get on the ship in time. I have the Fobo bike2 TPMS units on my bike tire stems. that app tracks you all the time and forces you to have the location services on or else it doesn’t work right. so because of that, I’m wondering if I can just use that instead of these gadgets, because it’s already to tracking my bike anyway. 🤔
Absolutely it can, and it even has a selection in the configuration menu for the tracker to describe what type of vehicle it's installed on. You can switch it to "passenger car" and it switches out the motorcycle picture for a car instead.
Quick question… you hooked up hot wire in your flaring with plug… dunno if you mentioned or no…. Did it have live wire in there or did you run a wire up there??? I wanted hook up my gps and mobile phone … prefer keyed part. Mine 1990 Goldwing.
You say not to connect it to your battery, but that is where the unit is designed to be connected to. so I don't get that. also you say the IMEI number is on the box. I spent all day trying to find my number on the box. thinking I am I blind, or is it in sign language somewhere. the internet also said on the box, but it was no where to be seen, so I finally emailed the company who also said it was on the box. and then I told them it wasn't on the box, and the person said everyone finds it so easily, why can't you, and and then she sends me a picture of where the number is supposedly on the box. and the picture showed a piece of cardboard packing material that is inside of the box with the number on it. which I had already thrown away days before. I really don't get why people don't know the difference between saying something is on the box or saying the code is in the box on a piece of packing cardboard. this was so aggravating. I had to take my fairing off my Ducati to get to the battery. and my bike was all in pieces in a parking lot and I had no idea where the IEMI code was, and it took me hours of trying to find out on the internet and videos like yours to hear that the code is on the box, before I finally emailed the company, and finally got shown an actual picture of where the number was, to move on, I installed a new battery at the same time I installed the zizzapp. while parked the app said 13.1 volts for a couple of days. now it is saying 13V. like it went down that .1 in a couple of days of sitting. I like seeing the battery level on my bike anytime I want, but I'm not sure why it isn't 12V or 12.5. is my battery really putting out 13V. I don't know, and even though I road the bike a couple of times with the app connected. when I look at the app where it says My Rides it shows 0. and even though I have shaken the bike a few times and gotten alert notifications on my phone every time. where the screen on the app says New Notifications it says zero. and when I get the alert notifications the time is in military time. and I can't see a way to change it to regular time. and some of the set up menus you show in your video I do not see on my phone. I'm wondering if I need to access the app on my computer to see what you are showing. I think the zizzapp device is good, but I think Zizzapp is lacking on the education material needed to use the app. and for sure the important IMEI code that you need to set the app up, should not be on a piece of packing material. I had no idea I even needed an IMEI code until the app asked me to input one. and then I was like where am I supposed to find that.
I love the features and offers it has but it’s not worthy pay for $330.00 when there’s no PayPal. I wouldn’t know if I get any future protection. Like few reviews stated they shut down on us?? Or bill us new upgrades?? I have to pass.

We do have a 2-week return policy in case you are worried about protection and about the reviews you have mentioned I must state that they are false, but also related, allow me to explain. About the shutting down, we have not shut down the app for any specific users, recently the app might have been down due to transitioning purposes as we just released the new app. About upgrades, we have never had any mandatory upgrades or payments that had to be done for users to continue using the app, this has not changed since day one, where the initial SIZZAPP users had the chance to buy the device at a very low price and years later they are still using the device and have never been asked to pay for anything else. The one stand out is that we offered users to upgrade to the new app before its initial release, a sort of a sneak peak for a symbolic payment. This was not mandatory or recommended as it was simply offered as a bonus for those who whished to get familiar with the new app before its release and even become part of the development as they were able to submit recommendations fo how and why should the new app look like. Seems interesting, but there’s obviously a catch: It cannot stay ‚free‘ forever (no matter the fancy promises on the website). No business model with only one initial payment for device, app, customer support, further development, wages, rent, cellular fees, profit margin, etc. can work for very long. Capitalism does not run on magic. Thus, I predict that some of the following four scenarios will happen: 1) Company flourishes, but has to introduce a mandatory paid subscription model eventually, to stay afloat. 2) Same as 1, but early customers get a ‚lifetime‘ free or somewhat reduced license or fee (obviously at the expense of later customers). 3) Company simply gets crushed under the commercial weight of high development and operating cost while having promised way too much for way too long. 4) Company gets bought by some of the big tech, subsequently variations of 1-3 come into play. So, enjoy it while the good times last, hoping it will not end up as a well-meant but useless 250$ paperweight. In any case, thanks to Scott for the detailed review - but for the moment I‘ll rather stay with my limited, but fairly inexpensive and reliable Apple AirTag, which in terms of theft risk does more or less the same while being super-stealthy and lasting for more than a year on a tiny button battery.
@@GoldwingDocs The Sizzapp system cell phone APP and the FOBO TPMS system cell phone APP are pretty much the same. One price for your initial outlay and no annual fees or contract. Sounds feasible to me.

They used a freemium business model to gain traction and conquer the world, which is something that we are working on. I can guarantee that the service will always have the current features for all active users, but of course there is a chance that in the far future we would switch up our business model and include additional features for a symbolic price to boost the developer capital. As we evolve, so will our business model along with us, but it is definitely worth joining earlier rather than later. For the upcoming years you can rest assured that no such plans will take place as we are focusing on establishing a strong foothold within the worldwide market, but i can promise that a day when you are unable to use a device purchased up until this point due to our restrictions will never come! Other than that you can rest assured that our company is not going belly up as we have been active for 5 years already and are comfortably leaders in our region, thus the eagerness for going worldwide. Worst case scenario and we disappear, you would be able to insert your own simcard and use the device as the app would be left available and free on app and google play stores.
