Awesome! I grabbed my favorite eye brushes and compared them to brushes on Sigma's website. I found the E32 & E38. I already ordered them but I'm super glad to see this video! I also have hooded eyes so I'm extra pumped.
I bought a few Sigma brushes after your raves. I needed a sub for the MAC 217 which just isn't the same as it used to be so Sigma is what I chose. Now of course you'll make me buy more. It's good to sign up for their website since they always have discount codes.
I have several Sigma brushes (some of which you mentioned) and I have so many favorites. I'm loving that Sigma has so many great selections for us to use.
Watching this I was so excited when you would show a brush and I'm thinking "got it, got it, need it, got it." When I have the same brushes as a beauty guru - WIN!
Ok! I will do another brush video soon. I published one about Real Techniques makeup brushes today too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kLqQdkyIEqc.html
The only Sigma brush I have is the Sigma 3DHD concealer brush! When I'm not using my Beauty Blender, I love it for precise concealing around the eyes and it blends everything out beautifully. I have a set of Mac brushes I got for my birthday 3 years ago, so I haven't had to buy from Sigma yet, but I've always been super curious to see how their eye brushes compare. Someday!
You should check out the Cozzette S185 brush. It's kinda like the 2nd brush you showed. It's so so nice! And cruelty free of course. I had no idea sigma had a brush similar to my cozzette one. I will have to try it out. Great video by the way very helpful.
This video is so informative! I love the E40 and use it daily, but sometimes I feel that it’s a little too big for my small hooded eyes and deposits color too high up towards my brows. I use the E25 to blend color directly into my crease and darken the outer V. I think I’ll pick up the E32 and E36 during the next sale. Thanks so much!
I love Sigma brushes! My favorites that I own is the E25 and E40. Great video! I think I might buy a couple more that you mentioned. Oh and I just purchased Wayne Goss's brush 17 and brush 19. I love those too!! Thinking of purchasing the 16 and 18.
The goss brushes are good, no doubt. I think my favorite that I own from his set are like the 6 and 8. (though I bought them thinking they were cruelty free and later found out they're not.)
He says they are cruelty free as they get the hair from brushing the animals and collecting it from scratching posts. However, I understand that everyone has different definitions of what cruelty-free means to them. Kimberly Clark said unless she saw Wayne Goss personally brushing the squirrel and giving it a little treat after, she wasn't sure she had a lot of faith in the classification.
I was just thinking that I should try investing in better brushes soon! I definitely want the E25 at the very least, maybe the E32 too? Sigma actually has a physical store nearby me at the Mall of America, I should take a look at their brushes myself in person soon!
Some Sigma brushes I really love, like E25, E35 and E40. I can't imagine doing my eyeshadow without those brushes :) But I have to admit that some Sigma brushes I have tried have been a bit disappointing, because more affordable brushes get the job done just as good.
I feel like, when I started using better brushes (like my goss, Urban Decay Pro brushes and the Sigma brushes), my blending improved and my makeup looked better. I do have some good affordable brushes from real techniques though!
I used to use the 217 for every eye need for years when it first came out. As my eyes have become increasingly hooded, I find it a bit fat and it's not the best brush for picking up the new types of shadow formulas.
Have you tried the Bdellium Tools 776 blending brush? I just purchased that AND the Sigma E25 brush, and they look like near dupes to me. VERY near dupes. The BD 776 is smaller and maybe a little flatter than Sigma E25, but the shapes look very similar to me. I am just suggesting it as a possible "alternative" or addition to that brush style, and at a slightly cheaper price, in case you are looking for another shape like that. I also just happen to love Bdellium Tools, so I don't mind having a sort of dupe from them, haha. I usually hate doubling up on the same exact brush shape. But as for the E25, I am loving it so much so far, and I don't even have hooded eyes. It's just such a good diffusing blending brush, yay.
