The reason they try to extend the tweeter range as high as possible is because alot of people listen to hi-res audio. If the tweeter cannot handle the high frequencies, its non-linear behaviour can cause IM distortion way down in the audible range.

SuperSat50C has ofc another difference other than the logo. It has the tweeter position differently to accommodate the horizontal positioning :) thus you can use the SuperSat3C + superswivel system for atmos speakers when you have a hard ceiling :)

Hi, No they are exactly the same only thing is the logo. ( i will check just to make sure ) i have had a few builds and yes they do use supersat 3 for on-ceiling atmos and WOW its amazing :)

@@TechinaSec101 tweeter has to be in a different position - 90 degree movement. see the INVIS SPS line, where you can use the same speaker but you are able to change position of tweeter based on the role of the speaker - Central or not :)

GoldenEar tends to exeggerate the sensitivity a bit, by 0.7 - 2.5 dB, and specify it at 2.83V rather than 1W, and they state the nominal impedence as "compatible with 8 ohm" when their speakers actually dip down to 3-4 ohms minimum. This means that they are actually 4-5 ohm nominal which means you loose another 2.25 - 3 dB in sensitivity. So expect the actual sensitivity @ 1W to be considerably lower, perhaps around 87 - 89dB.

I don't have a whole lot of money to play with so I only have the 50 for the center and 3s for the fonts and surrounds. It sounds really good but it's being powered by a receiver without pre outs so no external amp. I would love to get that hooked up but man it can be expensive. Lol! I do have 2 powered subs to help out.

Hey, Thank you for your comment, I truly do not think you will benefit from a external amp. even without telling me your listening volumes. upgrading your left and right then your receiver will give you a much better performance then adding a power amp :)
