Check out the Alpaka Vertex Pouch here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/alpaka/vertex-pouch-streamlined-organization-for-desk-and-beyond What do you think of the Vertex Pouch? Let me know! 👇
I have the Elements tech case, and I absolutely love it, but I couldn't resist this thing. Just ordered it in the RX36. To be honest, I needed a little bit more room for my vlogging trips, so this is still a practical decision. The Elements case will live on as my daily bag!
I am very interested in the design and function of Alpaka's new pouch. However, one thing that concerns me is that wrinkle line appear when the front is folded. In your opinion, which of the two materials is more prone to wrinkle line at the folds? And do you think there is no need to worry that when folded repeatedly over a long period of time, the wrinkle line will become thicker and become unsightly or damaged?
I've been testing this, and here's my experience so far. The crease on the XPAC version is much more noticeable than the Axoflux. I wouldn't recommend keeping the flap opened for more than 2 hours. I feel like it's kept opened for a long time, the crease gets worse. If you add more gear inside and keep it closed for a while, it will push the panel out a bit and help make the crease less noticeable. If you're worried about the crease, I recommend going with the Axoflux version instead of the XPAC
Awesome video especially the breakdown. One question though, with full load like that.. how does it feel? will it still be comfortable to carry on your shoulder?
Thank you! It's still fairly comfortable but I personally don't carry this as a sling. I'm quite short, and the Vertex Pouch looks pretty big on me and the boxy design doesn't help much 😂
Nice vid! Quick question though, since you have all 3 of them (tech case, max version, as well the vertex pouch) is it noticably bigger when ur carrying it as a sling/pouch/inside your backpack? Cause from the dimensions I've seen on alpaka website is not that much but when I did see it on your vids it was waaaay more than what I expected, Thanks!
Thanks! I've got a small frame, and it's noticeably thicker when it's on the body, haha. When it's inside some of my backpacks, it can sometimes take up the entire width of the backpack and cause issues with external bottle holders. I've never really had this issue with the Elements Tech Cases. I've used it for quite a while now, and I still prefer using it as a tech kit :)
Between the two material options, which one did you prefer? I like me some X-PAC but I'm also kind of liking the lighter white-ish interior color of the axo-flux.
