Saw them february 2020 before covid hit properly, and was oddly disappointed. Dont get me wrong, they were just as good as most other bands but i had 10+ years og wanting To see them, and got that in a bad venue with some eh vibes. I think seeing em at a festival or better venue would do the trick though. Moshpit went hard and saved the show for me lol
I was first introduced to Slipknot in 2004 at Ozzfest. I was dating the tour manager for one of the bands and backstage at catering we ate lunch with one of the sweetest couples and when they left he said do you know who that was? It was Corey, the singer and his wife. I had no idea since I had never seen him without a mask. I was blown away. So normal and down to earth.
I love Korn and Slipknot! Saw both of them this month. If you guys like both, you should watch the live video of Korn and Slipknot covering Sabotage by the Beastie Boys. It's really fun and crazy!
damn i went to see them both a few years ago ON Halloween night it was awesome (gotta love concerts on halloween) but i was working that day and by the time i got there Korn was on their last song :(
Me too. The 2nd leg. Kinda wish I could check out 1st leg though. I’m a little unsure about Ho99o9. But I’m sure it’ll be good if Slipknot invited them.
I was in my early 20s when Slipknot hit the scene but it wasn’t really my bag. About three or four years ago I saw one of their videos on another reaction channel and I was hooked. I’m now a long-standing maggot now. Lots of folks think that metal is just a bunch of screaming and had no depth. Slipknot has such deep meanings in their lyrics.
I ended up being a teenager when I got into love metal music, I saw slipknot with a lot of my friends and a guy died from a heart attack at the concert.
One of the things that Slipknot has always done great is dynamics, like where you were talking about the buildup. The song goes hard the entire time, but there are little build ups and drops that give it energy. The songs have little spots where they stop and breathe for a second and come roaring back, but it doesn't feel like they're slowing down at all.
This song taught me new vocabulary for sure. "Pseudo-Sacrosanct Perversion" Literally, As though extremely sacred, and yet against the predefined moral path. A fake holy heracy.
Hey, you two! I fucking loved watching you both grinning, nonstop, during the song! 😸 And, your girl...many times, it feels like she has no opinion...But, knowing that she loves Slipnot...very cool 🖤🌹🖤🧛🏻♀️
Corey Taylor is unique. He has a really good voice. Stone Sour is also his band. Through the Glass by them is great, along with Bother, and Inhale. Lyrically fantastic.
Saw them last year at Knotfest Iowa, and as miserable as it was standing for 9 hours, it paid off at the end with Slipknot. I’m as old as them, so when they did the “go down in history “ bit, I couldn’t do it cuz it hurt to squat down that long. LOL.
I met Corey Taylor and we took a goofy pic, he’s such a sweetheart. I’ve seen Slipknot and Stone Sour maggot for life. Every album they change their masks.
If you like Slipknot, you should do a reaction video to their live performance of the song "Disasterpiece" London 2002! I'm a longtime Slipknot fan (Maggot) and believe you will enjoy this video because it's fire!!
This is a good song. I listen to it often.I 100%get the whole screaming vocals, respect, but they are not my favorite.I love the parts when they actually sing. With that said .I do read alot of screaming lyrics and they can be some of the most complex, and brilliantly written songs.
If you like this band you will like Hellyeah. The have members form Mudvayne and Pantera in the band. My favorite song of there's is HELLYEAH - Alcohaulin' Ass
my dad and i love skipknot, but we have to put it on when my mom not around because she can’t handle the screaming parts 😂😭 y’all should also check out stone sour- song 3 (corey taylor is the lead singer in that band aswell)
Have you checked out Slipknot - Spit it out? If not it’s back towards their roots from their early days. The sound was less traditional than how modern metal is composed. Way more unique for its time and definitely one of a kind. Listen to the remastered track if you react 🤘🏽
