Just started to follow you a few weeks ago, and what i love about you is that you explain things in a way so everyone can understand. Since i started to follow you, i´ve watched ALOT of your videos, and man did i learn alot, so thank you for that. The last 2 videos i did after i saw your videos was alot better than the videos before that. The quality is much better, and it's more like a story now instead of some random clips put together. I will keep following you, and im pretty sure i will learn alot more from you! Greetings from Denmark :)
Thank you very much for your feedback. You have no idea how much this info helps. Can you tell me more in detail what you think is better? I am trying to figure things out and step it up and any info might really help. Thank you very much 🎥😊🎬📸
@@ZdenkaDarula well i tried to my videos more in the way you do in some of yours. got alot of good ideas about transitions, i thing i wasn't good at. also got myself a Dji Osmo mobile 3 for my Iphone 11 pro. Nenver thought about a gimble before, didn't knew that i could do that much, i just thought about them as a stabilizer. I also like when i watch things on youtube that they explain what they do and why, instead of just doing it, and think you do that pretty well. so im gonna do more videos now in the future, mostly of my kids and stuff, but it's more fun than just taking pictures of them :)
Hi, love the way you explain and present. I just bought the redmi note 9s and one thing still confused me, when exporting a video shot at maybe 60fps or 120fps etc to 24fps does it automatically give the video that slow motion or I still have to go to the speed in the editing app to manually slow the footage down? Thanks
I discovered neutral density filters offered by polarPro for my mavic Air 2 and they really work great for those late evening early morning videos. The one I got for the mavic is variable. Now I'm interested and learning how to make videos using my Samsung S9. as I recently shared with you the last videos I made with this phone I made the mistake of shooting them in 4k, which really bogged down the video editor on my PC. Thank you very much for talking about the app for controlling manual mode. Now I'm off to figure out how to get a neutral density filter for this phone.
You are very welcome. Yes I tried to film in 4K on smartphone too and my computer went crazy too.... not making that mistake again until I get better computer... 😊🎥🎬📸
Hey Zdenka! Your videos are awesome! I have learned so much from them, especially filming with iPhone & DJI gimbal. I downloaded and the Protake app subscribed to the annual subscription. I love the interface on this app. Do you think the Protake app will add support for the DJI gimbals in future app updates?
Thank you very much for your comment and thank you very much for your support. I am not sure if they will add the DJI but hopefully they will. That would be great. 📸🎥🎬😊
Superb video Zdenka and really useful as I am moving into doing more video work. While I'm not a big fan of photography on my iPhone X I do feel it's a good video taking platform. One question if I may I can't find from Protake literature is does the anamorphic feature include desqueezing? I'd imagine it does but just to be sure. I've used the MoviePro ap[p to date with good results, and like the ability to set filenames and clip in the app, but am attracted to Protake. PS from Niagara-on-the-Lake not too far away from Toronto. Stay well.
Hello, I have been watching your videos for some time but without intention I had not subscribed, I really really enjoy your videos. Here you have one more subscriber and a friend. Greetings from Gran Canaria.💖
Hey girlie. I was able to download the Protake app for free on my iOS device. And right now they have a sale for the first year. I learned a lot from you today. Definitely appreciate it and will be using the info you have given.
Hi, thanks for this PROTAKE app review. I might consider purchasing this app. But just one question, does it de-squeeze video if you shot with an anamorphic lens? Thanks!
Your many videos are a wealth of information--very detailed, and very clearly demonstrated. With regard to manual settings is Protake better than the DJI OM5 Gimbal App? Is Protake better that BeastCam?
Can any app can do the background blur when shoot videos? For RU-vid videos making which quality do you think is better? Videos by iPhone camera app or canon m50 with 22mm f2 lens or 11-22mm ef-m lens 1080p video? I found iPhone’s video is sharper then m50’ video. Thanks!
Thanks for the video! You made me want to try Protake now but don't really like yearly subscriptions systems.. Wondering if stabilisation would be better than Filmicpro though as this one doesn't allow EIS (at least on S10e) As you have an S10 maybe you compared it with both software? The filter mount looks interesting too! I'm actually using the Moment 37mm lens mount with Rhinoshield bayonet lens mount adapter on a Spigen liquid air case (the whole thing works surprisingly perfectly together :) Wondering if the moondoglabs one you mentionned would have the same thread as this last one. I guess it could since you mount it on a Moment case in video.. 52mm filters or more are much more convenient size to also use with cameras than 37mm filters...But maybe 37mm is lighter to handle for the phone gimbals too hehe
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts. I am planning on making video about different sizes of filters and quality as I want answers myself.... just waiting for 1 filter ... should be delivered tomorrow.... cheers 🎥😊🎬📸
Hello again Zdenka - I have just answered my own question! I did not realise that in order to get into the pro camera settings on the Prrotake app you have to press and hold the auto button! I now have some of the pro camera settings features available on my Huawei mobile phone, using the free version of the app, so I'm off to try and shoot some video capture... :-)
Hello. Love following you and listening and following your great advice. On the protake app, Are you able to take a photo in video mode, say for a thumbnail?
No, unfortunately, it is a video only… what I do when I’m doing thumbnail I take a video and then extract the frame from video in video editing software…. It’s much faster process.
@@ZdenkaDarula Thank you so much for your help and advice on how to do this . Your a real inspiration to all your followers. Please keep up the great work that you do. ♡♡♡♡
Hi! I have the Protake paid version, and somehow i cant change the options the auto expose is locked on all the time cant change the shutter neither the iso
Wanna buy this app but unfortunately the 4k on Samsung S8 not working in this app. So, the option is only filmic pro. Wondering if I change from android to ios, will filmic pro purchase from android smartphone can be restored to iphone? Or I must buy it again in iphone?
Hm..... that is something I don’t know and want to know too. If your email is registered under the purchase then it should be ok... I have to look into this too 🎥😊🎬📸
Hi Zdenka, thanks for making this post. I have a question for you - I am currently using the free version of the Protake app and it appears that I can only use the 'auto' setting with my current mobile phone, which is a very cheap Huawei Honor 10 lite. I will be picking up a Samsung Galaxy S7 this week, just to use for video purposes only on my DJI Osmo 3 gimbal as it has both the 4K video option, plus the ability to create 1080p videos in at both 30fps and 60fps. Do you know if I will be able to use the pro setting on the Protake app with the Samsung Galaxy S7 phone using the free version of the Protake app, or will I have to pay the annual subscription fee in order to unlock the pro settings in the Protake app?
Hi, first I'd like to thank you for all your videos that are very helpful. I love the way you explain things. So, I didn't know on which video to make this comment, and here it is ;) I don't know if on Galaxy s10+ you'll have this option (yet), but on the Galaxy 20+, a fresh new update makes possible to film in "pro" manual mode in 8k / 24fps at ratio 21:9 (cinematic bars) or in 4k / 24, 30 or 60 fps also in 21:9 Or even 1080p / 24 to 120 fps in 21:9 directely without post edit. I'm making some tests of this new options and find this great to be able to film on the go with the built in camera without post editing or accessories for that cinema look. If once you try it, I'd love to know you're thoughts about it.
Thanks for clearly demonstrating the best cinematic settings for FPS and Shutter speed. I understand the need for an ND filter. I have an iPhone 14 Pro, and in looking at Moment ND filters, they have two basic lenses (VND 2-5 & VND 6-9). Which of these VNDs would be best to get, or would getting both of them be the best choice. Much of my work will be indoors with studio lighting. On occasion, I would also like to film in outdoor locations. Whatever advice you could give me regarding VND filters would be greatly appreciated. I'm focusing on Moment lenses because I am currently in India and Moment seems to have the best deal regarding international shipping costs.
Thank you very much for your comment. If you will be filming indoors, you’re not really going to need a filter unless your lights are extremely bright. for outdoors on a sunny day, I usually need 5-9 filter… when it is overcast I need the 2-5 filter
@@ZdenkaDarula Thanks; that makes sense. I admire the dedication and attention to detail that all your RU-vid videos convey. I have learned a great deal from your videos, and I'm sure I will learn much more in the future.
The stabilization feature doesn't work on my android device. It says the phone needs to give permission, but I can't find any option in the settings regarding the camera stabilizer. Any advice?
With the pro camera settings available the record button on the video is locked, so I guess that in order to unlock these features the subscription fee has to be paid - is this correct Zdenka?
I like Protake. I’ve never tried Filmic Pro. One thing I really don’t like about Protake is it doesn’t auto rotate. When I use my phone with the OM4 and it flips for low ground shots, it doesn’t rotate and the footage is shot upside down.
Your video features PROTAKE and makes reference to FLIMIC PRO both of which are currently not available on the Apple App Store. What do you suggest instead?
@@ZdenkaDarula Thanks very much Zdenka. I'm beginning to think that for my needs, the native Iphone 14 app and DJI App & Omni5 gimbal are all I will need. Can you think of anything important I will be missing?
I download protake app from play store i have vivo y81. But when i open it shows unexpected error and tell that we will reset camera. Sorry for inconvenience. Pls help me mam🙏🙏🙏
This app looks very complete (of course I know nothing about filming so my opinion matters little) and the interface looks really user friendly. The price is not expensive. I downloaded it but haven't subscribed yet to the paid version. In this version the ISO only seemed to go as low as 50, so maybe in the paid versio it goes lower?
ProTake app - not Pro version allows only 24fps? And full hd video? Because I did try to use it to see how looks like and work.. but for an 13.99$ per year subscription not sure I wanna try it :)) Still didnt decide what I should use for my S10+ ( Filmic pro or ProTake ) Moondog labs only makes cases for Iphone and not Android... for Android phones very hard to find a good an option for filters. I just use a clip from Neewer and some filters from Gobe and Urth if I remeber well their name... they are very good filters but looks like middle range to high range. 16 - 20 layers of coated also...
I do NOT have any filter or filter system. I do have IPhone 13 Pro and clear moment case with Moment lens mounting bracket installed. What size system should I pursue? Sizes, seem to be, 37 mm, 57 mm, 62 mm, 67 mm, 72 mm and probably many more that I have not accidently discovered. I do not currently have a DSLR camera. Which size / system should I use? Areas of concern are 1) Most available 2) Price 3) Quality 4) Most popular 5) Most adaptable and any other parameters I am not knowledgeable enough to realize or understand. Thanks so much. I am thoroughly enjoying your video instruction .
Good Morning. I follow all your videos and in this one you use the Protake application, I like it and I am taking pictures with my LG-V30, which is a good phone to record, this phone can record in LOG mode but only with the main lens, with the large angular cannot be recorded in LOG mode. That's why I want to get Protake, but I have a problem, the recording on phones is not fixed in terms of frames per second, but with Protake it gets much worse and if I set it to 24 frames, the recording can vary between 6 and 28, to put it. an example, the result is very bad and the shots go to jumps. It happens to you, can you give me some idea. Greetings.
Thank you very much for sharing…. You should film in manual mode… 24fps and shutter speed 1/48th. Any android will be very jumpy. I’ve experienced it as well. I only shoot manual now
No filming app offers that unless it is gimbals app. If you need tracking get gimbal like Hohem isteady V2 which allows you to use ai tracking in any app
Thank you for this informative video. I just recently began making family home videos but I’m the type to dive in more than others when I do things. I still don’t fully understand logC , how to use it, where to find it in protake (I paid for the app). I have some hiking videos on my channel I filmed using your advices if you’d like to critique.
@@ZdenkaDarula yes, I would like to. I set the shutter to double the frame rate and the iso to the lowest. I don’t have an ND filter yet so I still have to put it on auto to find the right shutter and ISO then I lock it when shooting from open areas to shaded areas. I think not having an ND filter is what’s preventing me from getting videos looking like yours. BTW, I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro with a DJI OM4 (just bought a few days ago)
I really like your videos, but as far as I can tell Protake is currently not available at the App store. If this app is no longer available, what do you suggest.
@@ZdenkaDarula Thanks for replying. That's interesting; maybe PROTAKE is restricted just in the US, but whatever the case, I can't get it (or FILMIC PRO) on the Apple App Store in Washington State.
Hello from Greece. I have the protake app and I have some technical issues. I tried to contact the company by email 3 times but they did not respond. Do you know if there is a website because no matter how hard I searched I did not find anything.
Zdenka, a very successful presentation, as always. Protake - a very interesting application but unfortunately I'm skeptical. I am trying to play with Protake Free version on my Galaxy S9 and I do not see 60fps for 4K. I found on Google Play opinion that such a problem have Galaxy S10+ users with Protake Pro version. I am concerned about the method of financing: you cannot pay for the PRO version once, but you have to pay it every year. And there is no guarantee that I will have 60fps if I pay PRO subscription. Too much doubt. I use Filmic Pro. I am satisfied with one exception: when I am without the Internet, the application stops working every few to several days, asking for identification via the Internet. How is with Protake? Probably similar, except that after the subscription ends, it will also stop working.
