What makes a SNIPER RIFLE..is a trained SNIPER behind the trigger.. SAKO TRG42 (ITS NOT A TIKKA) N Barrett MRAD.. only two I'd classify as battle rifles..video was a total joke..
Sniper rifles won't be disappearing from the battlefield anytime soon. But, from what I have seen with the rise of armed drones, their role may be diminishing. These drone operators are going out with dozens of drones capable of destroying tanks from several miles away. The one constant on the battlefield for the past two thousand years is change.
I didn't care for any of the rifles shown. The best caliber if price isn't the option is a 26 Nosler or a 28 nosler.A pre 64 action stainless and a stainless barrel with a tactical stock ,3 position safety and a 26 inch Shillen Barrel a MacMillan fiberglass stock, and a Timney trigger in either 6.5 PRC or7mm Rem Mag.The Lapau has horrible wind drift at a 1000 yards.A 7mm Rem Mag beats the 300 win mag bu 20 inches of winddrift at 1000 yards, that's huge.A sniper rifle coming in at 11 pounds loaded and scoped.A 15 pound gun is a pain in the ass to pack around,go lighter.
I prefer modular platforms so that excludes Savage. (Besides two of their hog hunters failed out of box to fire and having to “fix” a new gun doesn’t impress me) Since the AWB I refuse to do business with Ruger, S&W and Colt probably why they went bankrupt. Then there’s Remington 🤯. I’ll stick with Barrett, PTR and IWI for now.
