I ran the 2 in model on my renegade and loved it.

I put the Hurricane on my 2015 Pro-S the first year it came out (converting the sled closer to the Pro-X setup). I love the track! Ride UP trails in Michigan and some off trail. Only issue is When trails are icy without studs…but it hooks up like a monster on a good firm trail!

Agreed its by far the best non studded track I've ever run! I did miss studs a bit the past couple seasons especially since the bulk of our seasons have had some icy conditions but if I was looking to run a track without studs the hurricane would definitely be my choice!

I was one of the first people in the country to get one of these tracks. Its amazing. The best track i've ever used. Hooks amazing on trail. Hooks amazing In 8 ft deep snow in the U.P. I have ripped 2 lugs in the 5000miles and a few years but i ride the piss out of my sleds. 100mph down trails for miles. running over stumps and trees. will buy again am going to put it on my 23 backcountry xrs.

I know it has been a bit since you made this video. Have you rode a storm 150? Just curious your thoughts on the difference on trail. Thanks.

Had the 1.75 back country on my Pro X and loved it. My other three are the 1-3/8 Cobra, and wish I still had it on one of them!

Nice! It was awesome that the pro X had that as a track option! Do you usually stud your sleds or not?

@@Revrider550 Have not put any studs on since we had a Pro R with the 1.25. Been pretty happy with out them. Still have another Pro X short track, Pro S short track, and an Assault 144. In Brewerton visiting our son this weekend, and hope to run into you this season.

Great review. I ride the same area as you and the no studs is a deal breaker for me. Imo adding studs to a trail sled is the single greatest performance gain you can achieve. Def for the increased acceleration but even more the vast improvement in braking.

Thanks, means a lot! Yeah there are a lot of advantages with this track but unfortunately in our area the inability to stud it on these sleds is a pretty big drawback. These days snow is so inconsistent that even when we get it theres usually an icy base exposed in the corners.

I had one of the orinigal backcountry (2013 ski doo backcountry 800) and that track had the 1.75 and I fell head over heals for it. However, I was able to put studs on that track and never had a problem with clearance.

Nice! Yeah if we had better snow or I had the option to stud them I think no question it would be my ideal track. Maybe I'll try it on a different sled I can stud and it will make it the perfect set up for me.

You can absolutely stud this track on a 850 …..mine is zero issues

All you had to do was install igrips instead of studs...... they are better than studs by a long shot, thats what i did on mine...but then again im on an assault 146...... which with this track goes through powder like a savage, even hill climbs off trail with no problem....

Id love to run this track on my Assault. Still throwing around the idea. Seems like the ideal sled for it.
