I think ppl misunderstand the word solo. Just because it's just you flying does not mean it's solo when u use 3 to 4 alts. Use one toon only, that is true solo.
A decent video and you've got a like from me, but this isn't solo. I'm not saying that because of the same reasons others are not classifying this as solo in comments. I'm saying this because it's a whole another gameplay and fitting, if you want to go truly solo. Having a ceptor for tackle, or another DPS ship means that your Drekvac fit can be a bit loose and might not cover all aspects of what a truly solo player is looking for. I'm looking for a SOLO fit and want to see how it performs, but even though your video is entertaining it does not give me any useful information. It would be more clear if you had "multiboxing Drekavac" in the title.
It's great but it's overpowered. Every other battlecruiser needs to choose between a long or close range weapon--not the Drekavak. It gets to be one of the fastest (is it the fastest?) battlecruisers with the ability to project out to 50km, does great damage up close, fits 3 command bursts, decent tank, and its relatively cheap. I love the trig ships for their style but they have really damaged variety. Why fly anything else? IMO the best way to fix them is to split the weapon system in two. Have a close and long range entropic disintigrator. Bring them in line with their peers.
Agreed. The insanely good trig tracking would be broken by itself IMO but combined with the range and ammotypes...they're way too strong. Having such a great weapon system could maybe work if the hulls themselves were underpowered but they're almost all better than their peers pretty much across the board! PLUS the utility highs for neuts (or links on the BC)... I'm just surprised there hasn't been more complaining. I guess because they're not nullblob line ships people outside of solo/small gang don't realise how strong they are?
@@cpf2566 Pretty much every trig ship is OP, most small groups will say as much. Ironically the most fair among them is probably the Leshak despite having a starting 1000+ dps and being able to spool to nearly 2000, because it's reasonably slow and can occasionally have trouble tracking frigates so it's a mediocre kiting platform.
The old Hurricane was amazing in this same context. It’ll eventually get balanced. Like this crazy market… I hope. Cheaper to buy and fit a sleipnir than a damn T1 battleship. It’s insane right now.
@@esmolol4091 there is value in killing expensive ships with T1. Can’t really buy knowledge and skill in this game. Like when I killed a marauder with a curse. Or a Garmur with a tormentor. Sometimes throwing money at it isn’t the answer. That being said you’re right. It’s not OP. Most people just don’t know how to fight them or what to fight them with.
I was gonna watch this, was genuinely interested, but I still dunno why people have so much trouble with the word SOLO. My personal opinion is that solo means 1 ship. A second scout ship to get you through the gates is fine, but when you let the 2nd ship tackle or repair or just get involved with the actually pvp fights, then you can't claim that you play solo. A lot of people but this word solo in the video tittle but I don't care to continue to keep watching because it's not really solo.
@@k1illagorilla I used to solo back in the days of Kil2 and Kovorix, Wensley, and so on. They were good times for solo. But the meta has changed within Eve since then. It's much much harder to solo without being quickly blobbed and hotdropped now. Multiboxing is more common now too. So a way to get better fights if you're a solo is to use an alt in tackle ship, logi, cap pressure or whatever else, as well as your main to actually apply the damage. It allows you to take on rapidly escalating gangs for longer periods and get more kills/higher chance to survive.
@@alphakilo4456no, it’s different. Its multiboxing. Multiboxing is generally more difficult than solo. The distinction is still important though. The fits are different.
Only issue I have with your fit is the 3% cpu implant. If you were to remove the T2 disintegrator and replace it by a veles you should be good on fitting room. Will increase the price by 60M but imo that's a good tradeof for clearing the slot 6 of your pod
Solo can, but doesn't necessarily, mean 1v1. Solo means you are by yourself. Which is true. Is he somehow multiple people if he uses 2 screens? What if he uses both hands to play the game? If anything, dual boxing takes even more skill tbh.
