IMPORTANT: Importing render settings / effect presets is no longer possible with Sony Vegas Pro 13! You have to make your own preset (rename an existing one and click on the disk button) and copy paste the values from below!

hey dude I record with mirillis action on the best settings on it, i can record cs go in 60 fps like 75 in game and when im not recording its like 130fps, it´s kind bad but still good, i think cs go is the only game the fps drop to hard when recording. but yah i hav a 930M and cannot record with shadowplay, is it influence on something when recording or rendering the project?

OH MY GOD! You are literally my hero! I have spent hours and hours on numerous days looking up a high quality tutorial. 1080/720, new video editors, different recording software. I have a solid build pc but i even started to question it. My only problem was "resampling". I wasn't sure how to describe it so I didn't know how to directly look up a fix, and the other tutorials didn't show this problem cause they didn't have it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I found out that when recording with shadowplay it makes everything a little bit greyer, but using Brightness and Contrast Brightness 0 Contrast 0.130 And contrast center 0.460 makes it looks better

I seriously miss the CUDA support, rendering on new GPU`s is so slow in comparison, I`m rendering one now thats 35 mins long yet going to take nearly 2 hours to render! :/ Thanks for the tips, totally forgot about the resampling and wondered why some of my videos seemed off.

+CanalGoldenEye No matter what settings i used without "Two-Pass" being on i always had the problem. Make sure you have it on and you will be good to go.

Its actually sad that the gpu is not suported, it takes way to much time to render with the cpu when youre gpu is doing the same task 3 times faster...

I want the best quality possible for my videos, and I've tried using your rendersettings. It looks okay after the render, but after uploading to RU-vid it doesn't look so good. This is not an advertisement, but here is an example of what it looks like: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ekmb8hUnXOQ.html Very blurry. Do you/anyone know why it does this? I have a very good pc.

+323tiim yes it does look very blurry.. For some reason RU-vid plays your video @ 720p instead of 1080p. I had to change the quality in order to get the "true" 1080p quality... Did you use my exact settings?

+Speedbre4ker I've done your exact rendersettings yes, and after it has rendered it looks fine aswell. It's the RU-vid version that's bad. +BikMCTH That unfortunately comes with the good quality. A 4 minute video can easily be 1GB of size. If you absolutely can not upload such files (over night e.g.) than decrease the bitrate to 20 mil / 30 mil (average and max)

okay i have one question please. i'm only rendering 720 p atm with 60 fps what's the bitrate suitable for that? the maximum and minimum? because right now during high movement some box pixel appears in the footage after i render it, before it is not there is the number of reference frames still only 2? and should i use deblocking filter?

Are reference frames and consecutive b frames the same thing? on youtubes recommended encoding settings page it says "2 Consecutive B Frames" and in Vegas Pro, Number of reference frames is defaulted at a value of 2. I'm wondering if they're the same thing, and if so why would you set it to 14 when it's recommended to be at 2?

Thanks for the video, very informative. And short and sweet which is great. Quick question, you mention that you can record at 90mbps in ShadowPlay. The max I'm getting is 50. Is that because you're running a 980? I'm on a 770.

+Chairman LMao Cheers! Try the following: in shadowplay click on *Qualtiy* -> *Custom* -> Then on the *resolution* Tab click on**in-game*. Now you should be able to choose your highest possible bitrate for your GPU. I can record up to 130mbps ;)

Under main avc/aac I cannot find internet HD 1080p. It makes it so I cannot use some options such as use only cpu to render. If you know what I need to do please let me know, I can't figure this out.

Although if you are using multiple effects or there is alot of motion, it can look like shit.

+itzHazardous Well actually its not. I chose this bitrate to get the highest possible quality on RU-vid after its internal compression. RU-vid encodes videos at 5'500'000 bps (60fps/1080p) bitrate, so at a lot less than the rendered video. However, if you upload at this very bitrate, YT will re-encode the video resulting in very poor image quality - thats why you need to upload at a higher bitrate. O.c. one shouldn't go too high as then the compression makes it look bad again ;)

Gotcha. Interesting because I tried this out and my video still looks choppy at time. I have done everything you said too. Maybe it is just Xbox One gameplay as a whole because I never ee PS4 Bo3 videos that look like mine. Idk what the issue is in that case. Thanks for the tips!
