Yes I saw the unboxing video of Nakamichi Dragon on Digital Trends.They had the first #1 of the 700 units made. A HiFi sound bar. Your list was an interesting mix of best sound bars. Your presentation reminded me of RTINGS. Went through the specs of Philips & Samsung. Philips has given detailed specs coming with 10% THD, while Samsung hasn't disclosed much. You said it right Bose & Sony are not recommended by the experts nowadays. Philips is going the Nokia way. Samsung Audio Lab has redefined the sound bar tech. Happy weekend Sir 🙏

Hi there. I love your videos. Thank you for the good work you're doing!You've just earned a sub! I'd like your recommendation for my Vu Masterpiece 55inch TV installed in my hall which is a 17*12 ft room and the couch from the TV is around 11-12 ft. I want to invest in a modular soundbar ONLY for now and later maybe upgrade it with a sub woofer and eventually with speakers. Any specific recommendations for this setup are much appreciated. Hey, thanks for your comment. What is the budget for the soundbar? What will be your primary use case? (watching TV from a set top box, movies, music, gaming? How important are extra connectivity options (HDMI passthrough, etc). Also, do you want to invest in surround speakers in the future? Please let me know.

@IdiotBox86 I'll need this for watching movies and the occasional house parties. So music and movies are top priorities. I struggle with dialogue clarity currently from my TV audio. I don't want to spend an exuberant amount of money, of course. Anything under 40-45k should be fine. Having said that I also don't want sub par audio quality. I like minimalistic design but looks aren't paramount. I want the option to be able to upgrade it in the future like surround speakers. I don't use a set top box. Just the OTT platforms.

@@IdiotBox86 Thanks for your reply. My budget is around 30-40K, although I can extend it by upto 10K for premium brands such as JBL, Samsung, Sony, and so on. I don't watch Set-Top box content, only OTT and Gaming. Mostly for movies/TV Shows on Netflix/Prime, Gaming on PS5/Series X, and the occasional RU-vid/songs. As far as the bass is concerned, I do want it deep but not overpowering. It should have a theatre-like effect but not be muddy or boomy. I have personally heard the following soundbars in the retail stores: - Samsung Q990C (best among all but pricey): 76K - Bose Soundbar 600/900 with Bass Module and surrounds (900 wins overall and sounds amazing, albeit very expensive): 1.5L - Sony A2000/A3000 with surrounds and bass module (bass is very good but doesn't justify the price as compared to the competition, lacks clarity due to the lower number of channels maybe?): 1L - JBL Bar 1000/9.1 (1000 was better overall but the dialogues didn't come through that well): 1L - JBL Bar 500 (sounded pretty good for the price but again the dialogues were a bit recessed): 45K - Samsung Q800/700/600 B/C Series Soundbars (Very good for the price but lack the surround sound): 40K My main requirement as mentioned before is movies/TV shows, Deep yet quality bass, and decent gaming experience. I want to get the Samsung Q990C but it's way beyond the budget. Do you think it's worth 76K though? Thanks again for your inputs.

@IdiotBox86 9 месяцев назад
@@user-fj1ms8rw1dYou've done your homework :-). Short answer, yes. go in for the Samsung Q990C if you can extend your budget. you will be very happy with it and won't need an upgrade for almost 7-10 years. As for the rest, which is the model you realllllllyyyyyyy want that fits your budget?
@user-fj1ms8rw1d
@user-fj1ms8rw1d 9 месяцев назад
@@IdiotBox86 Thanks for your inputs. I too felt that the Q990C justifies the price. However, due to the lack of HDMI 2.1 support, do you think this soundbar will remain future-proof? Maybe the Q990D (2024 model) will come with it and this may become obsolete. Just saying :) As far as the remaining options are concerned, the Samsung Q800C and the JBL Bar Pro 500 seem like good contenders. Which one will you recommend? Or if you have another recommendation in the sub-50K price bracket, that would be great. Thanks and subscribed!
@IdiotBox86
@IdiotBox86 9 месяцев назад
@@user-fj1ms8rw1d Yes. you are right. No HDMI 2.1 is a bummer. But is there a guarantee that it will be there on the 2024 model? Also, there is always new technology around the corner. By that logic, we will be waiting perpetually :-p. If I were you, I'd go for the Q990C. Believe me, you don't want buyer's remorse in the future. I am saying this cos I have felt it. I went for the LG B9 instead of the C9 to save a little money. Go for the Q990C. you won't be disappointed. But if you can't push the budget, then the Samsung Q800C is also a worthy option.

@@praveenkumar-no9qx So, for the pass-through feature to work, the TV or projector needs to support HDMI ARC or eARC. For a projector, it makes sense for you to consider an Amplifier or a proper home theatre as that will work best with the projector. For an old TV that is old and has only AUX or the old red and white audio output, you can consider a pair of high end bookshelf speakers like the Klipsch the fives. If the Klipsch are out of your budget, you can consider the Mackie CR5 speakers. My question is how these soundbars like the Bose soundbar 600 and other 5.1 soundbars performs with music listening as music sounds best at stereo. Does the sound while listening music comes from only 2 left and right speakers or from all speakers, coz it can sound not natural in the latter case. Is there any option to listen to stereo mode while listening music in soundbars other than yas 209

Ok boss so I’m in the market for a soundbar setup and yes I’d like the whole package with the woofer and surround speakers as well .. however, to start with I decided to check out the Sony HT-S40R or the Sony HT - S700 rf( since that is where my budget range starts from; the upper limit is gonna majorly depend on how much value it offers as compared to the cheaper options) Having said that, at the store I was dissuaded from both these models as they aren’t truly Bluetooth capable .. and that’s a deal breaker , so obviously yes I’m looking for something truly Bluetooth .. I love the idea of Modular’s since that gives me some room in terms of budget .. now the option offers instead of the Sonys was yeh JBL 500 one you spoke about here .. and yes I sounded great as well .. but I’m looking for something more premium and definitely something futuristic proof in terms of let’s say I have a bigger room in the future ( 12x12 ft rite now). I liked the Bose setup you suggested and I like the Sony ht A5000 as well . Have no clue about how the Bose will compare to the compete Sony setup and don’t know jack shit about the Sonos(although I’ve heard that they’re a pretty big deal too) now with all the options .. I’m really confused as to what to go for .. please help me decide … I think I modular options seems alright .. I think I can afford to spend about 50k at a time for every modular component hoping I will have a commendable setup for atleast the next few years to come .. I love my cinema and would love an immersive experience. I have an lg qned 55inch tv if that matters at all. Looking forward to your response . Thanks in Advance

Hey, thanks for your comment. I think the Sonos Bea Gen 2 can be a good option for you to start. the bar alone is 50K, so I know it doesn't solve your problem of getting the subwoofer at the same time. But you can build the entire setup over a few months or years depending on your budget. However, if you can double your budget to about 1L (I know that's asking for a lot), you can check out the Samsung Q990D. It is a fantastic option: amzn.to/3Saubp2. Staying with Samsung, for around 80K, you can also check out the Q930C: amzn.to/4f3ZP1n. Both are great options. you can probably get these soundbars at a cheaper price during the festive sale or even offline. Hope the recommendations help 🙂

As my workstation room I am building is small, about 15x11 sqft, and viewing distance from my tv will be 8-9ft, that's why not going for soundbars with surround speakers as in the small I won't have much space keep them in a decent distance from my and walls, so they won't have much effect..

Both the TV options you have chosen support Bravia Sync. But the soundbars you have selected do not. So, the same brand of soundbar and TV isn't applicable here. Go in for either Sony HT-G700 or Philips TAB8947. you will not be disappointed. The Sony can get louder and has more pronounced bass and good dynamic range. The Philips has more neutral sounding sound. Both are excellent options.
