I doubt I'll ever get over to your neck of the woods to downwind, but I am exploring my region of the Baja near east cape out of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. I regularly surf the ski on the point break at my house, but have just started exploring the coast line north of me when the winter north winds blow. Los Frailes looks like a good launch point. Lots of potential. Just wish I had a buddy to paddle with. No other surfskis here. Lots of kiters and foilers though. At 70 years old I don't want to get caught out there alone. Any other East Cape surfski paddlers out there? Thanks for all your positive content Oscar!

Tom, it's a little distance from you, but have you talked to Warren Bruce (Think surfskis) at Surfski Baja in La Ventana (he has a facebook page)? He might have some suggestions about runs and/or any locals/visitors to paddle with.

A stable surfski is also an option as it’s so light. You can get then at 8kg

On the edge of 70 here, the surfski is Easier on, off the water , less bits to bring or forget and a blast ! The 40 Years old Seafarer yak still get out camping .
