I absolutely love my Steam Deck and have even repurchased some games that i already owned on the Switch (stardew!) Currently playing Dave the Diver after completing Mail Time. I have Coral Island but couldn't get into it, will be giving it another try though
I love the diving on coral island... and you do get more and more energy each day like you're leveling up... so you don't have to spend all your energy farming... also they let you adjust the lengths of the day if you feel like you are running out of time each day to spend your energy... hope that helps you enjoy the game a bit more! :) it made it better for me
Thank you so much for this list! I know I am getting a Steam Deck for the holidays and Coral Island was my main reason for that wish. But I am glad to have other options to add to my new library.
Well, this video came out at a perfect time. I just got steam on my laptop and now my questions are about to be answered! Thank you, Payton! Being in the corner is the BEST!
Thank you so much, I didn't know these games (except Coral Island, which I also love)! I recommend the Steamdeck, best decision to buy it, the Switch seems so tiny compared to it. My favorite games that run great on Steamdeck are Graveyard Keeper (cozy graveyard), Beacon Pines, Dordogne, Travellers Rest, Potion Craft, Cat Cafe Manager, Dave the Diver, Disco Elysium (yeah, kind of cozy), Disney Dreamlight Valley, Luna's Fishing Garden (too underrated game), Spiritfarer. Most games are much cheaper than on the Switch, and many games don't exist on the Switch (yet). Unfortunately, there are games that are verified but don't run well (imho), e.g. Gorogoa.
I agree. Many of these I can easily get through promotions on Deck or even at the real price. Unfortunately some recent ones have not yet been approved but I play on PC. But the Deck and Switch are my favorites.
I honestly prefer steam deck to switch if the game is on both. Switch has crashed on me on the disney dreamlight valley which motivated me to get Cult of the Lamb, Bear and Breakfast on the steam deck and they run so nicely. My cozy steam deck games (most are not on the switch): temtem, dorfromantik, donutcounty, strange horticulture, night in the woods, little witch in the woods, wytchwood, dragon caffi, ever seen a cat (1 and 2), the ori series (ori and the blind forest, ori and the will of the wisps), the shantae games. I also play visual novels as they are cozy to me.
Couldn't comment while live but loved all the games featured. I've been wanting to play Coral Island after your streams and controls on the computer and I are frenemies at best. I believe these are legitimate reasons I can use to convince my bf to get me a steamdeck to play on😊. Great video as always!
I’m really hoping to get a Steam Deck during their Winter Sale. Have so many cozy games but with long Covid some days are the worst and I love to snuggle up in bed or the sofa when it gets too exhausting.
I just bought my steam deck I love it! My first game was Sun Haven. I don’t think you can go wrong with this game! I think Coral Island is my next choice! Keep recommending those Steam Deck games for us new people!
This video gives me a better idea on if I would like the steam deck! I play the switch a lot, but there are some games that are on PC that I would rather play. Thank you for doing this!
Some steam games I love to play on my SD: The top one would be Spiritfarer, this is an absolute favorite, it is dialogue heavy but it's all part of the experience. I have the SD oled version and the graphics are just top tier. Some other games that I can recommend, a little to the left (use the touchscreen controls it's perfect), Carto, A Short Hike, Pan'orama/Dorfromantik.
Hi there, just wanted to ask. How about story of seasons series? Are they available on steamdeck? I was planning to buy one tho, but confused either to buy a switch/steamdeck.
I can’t wait, even though I have to, to pick up a steam deck. I had to pass on the sale (summer birthdays, and summer activities with kids), but I’m hoping they have another one around the time school starts! I can’t wait to play Coral Island and Sun Haven. I’ve also been wondering if I could mod Stardew on it, do I can play expanded….. finally 😍
I just checked the comments on that video, automation-mods and big mods like SDVE might increase loading-times quite a bit, but it seems you can somewhat alleviate that with mods like SpriteMaster or turning down some aesthetic stuff. Definitely something to be aware of before deciding to purchase a Steam Deck, I guess.
It seems my previous comment did not get posted, as they often dont... so, Yes you can mod Stardew on Steam Deck, there is an updated video-guide here on the gamingonlinux-channel about it and its similar to how you would do it on Windows (with a few tweaks for gamemode).
@@StingerAJ I just saw that! About them selling refurbished decks. I just have to wait til back to school is over, then I can save for a few weeks and pick one up. 2 kids in high school is gonna kill me 😳😂
Mnay people are asking for Switch 2. Until Nintendo itself says switch 2 is here, and coming soon I believe it. Until then I sill ride the wave of switch 1.
I would give my soul for any gaming console but this one would be my pick! Thank you for your amazing videos, it’s just as enjoyable watching you review and play ❤️🌻
@@PaytonsCorner Nooooo! 😭😭😭 I hope this doesn’t happen soon to the Steam Deck because I’d like to get one this year and I’d be really disappointed if I buy one just to see a new one release quickly. :(
@@eggbunni no this isn’t happening to steam deck, you asked about Nintendo switch! Steam deck may put out a new model at some point but that won’t affect what games you can play through steam
@@eggbunniIf they did put out a new Steam Deck, all the games you already own will be playable. It's a PC so there's no issues with backwards compatibility. It just plays PC games so your library will always be available to play on any PC.
Only two games I like to play, that you have on the list. I won’t spend 600 plus dollars, just to play them, if they are coming on the switch, as so many cozy, farm, game coming in the switch this year anyway, might as well. Wait for it to come to Nintendo. This is my personal choice of course. But having kids, and lots of stuffs, going on, don’t have lots of time playing it all the time. Would be okay to wait for the switch release, id say, I rather buy Pc than steam deck. Because I already have swicth, and my time is not that much, this is only for people who have time to play. So much games everyday. Like if I’m RU-vidr I wil, but as a person, who don’t do gameplay on RU-vid, I’ll just wait for switch release, and hopefully I have time to play. When the game I like will be releasing on Nintendo switch, or if not. I might have a Pc that time. So folks, I’d say, 600 cad. Or 500 dollars, don’t waste money if the game coming to switch anyway, if you already have Nintendo switch tho. If not, then could be better to bought steam deck. It’s just my advice, but you guys can feel free whatever you like.
I’m literally going to buy a steam deck either for my birthday or Christmas but I am for sure going to get one and I been so excited about playing coral 🪸 island 🏝️ I know it won’t be realest any time soon this year or even next year like you said payton but in 2025 but if coral island 🪸🏝️ is this good on the steam deck i need to get a steam deck very soon thank you so much for covering so many games on the steam deck I am looking forward to playing all these amazing games
mail time is such a bad game tho.🙃 the german "translation" is HORRIBLE and the game is buggy as heck.😭 glad i got it as a key for 6€ lmao looks cute tho!🥲
