makes me want to go on my local river and do some streamer fishing, but the levels are low, but going to have to get out next week, great video and very nice trout. Regards MD
Great videos! Would be very interested in what kind of outfit you use for streamer fishing. I’m looking to get into it myself when the dry fly fishing isn’t too good but can’t seem to find much info about it for UK brownies
Good video. I have a vision 6 weight. Cracking rod. Do have much luck fishing streamers in low and clear water or do conditions have to be correct? Not having much luck with streamers.......maybe there's not enough big trout in my local river? Dead drifting has caught me a few. But when I strip or twitch a streamer I get nothing.......not even a bite!
I’ve caught plenty in low clear water on streamers but high dirty water is best. The only advice I could say is try micro streamers tied on jig hooks like a size 10 with a heavy tungsten bead and jig it back I’ve caught all sizes of trout on streamers from 8” up if they fancy it they’ll eat it 👍🏻
@@nymphingnewt7639 I have used size 10 micro streamers and jigged it back......nothing. I guess for some reason, streamers work better in some other rivers. Cheers.
It would vary mate with the rivers being low, I always go fast first then slow it up. I was out last week and they wanted it fast in the morning then slow as the day went on 👍🏻
@@sa-hz1bo it’s hard at the moment, I’m getting big fish follow my streamer right in but they rarely take, once we get into September or if we get a summer flood they will hit everything 👌🏻
