Crystal Aegis (and other similar cards that specify "Monster CARD") works with Crystal Beast cards on your S/T Zone, you don't need to waste a body (and possibly your Normal Summon) to use it. Also, its GY effect, alongside Crystal Miracle's (which can also destroy CB's treated as Continuous Spells), are pretty good for the deck - although not as great as Rainbow Bridge of the Heart, for sure. I wouldn't run Boon or Brilliance, though.

Got them at a pre release event, on the 28th, I'm only just getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh, I don't really like what it's become tbh, I also got into speed duels and very much enjoy that Looking forward to your deck build, I built a deck with 3 Cyber Dragons structure deck too

Some might comment, saying that the Advance Crystal Beasts are the "alternate art" versions of the Crystal Beasts, similar to how rainbow Dark Dragon is an alternate art of Rainbow Dragon, but I kinda wished Konami would have made actual Alternate Arts of Rainbow Dragon and the 7 Crystal Beasts for this deck since they will be getting support here and in Crystal revenge

Everyone saying they LOVE this deck because of ash blossom.. After all this time ash was released you should've plenty of them. Also i just love the rainbow archetype, just awesome. Now waiting for a gem-knight deck.

Unfortunately, not really, unless you really need the ghost girls. You can play pure or control, and neither are really meta. Pure relies on searching the trap and fusion summoning out the big fusion dragon, while control basically puts up a single bounce and maybe a negate.

With all respect, I don't personally think this is the best SD, even for the merit of some easy to acquire staples. Believe me, I'd like to see a Crystal Beast meta, but it seems very unlikely.

@@ShadowSlayerSD5 I like the thinking because there are ways to get massive amounts of power out of individual cards, but as of now these are trickiest to set up consistently either due to the amount of materials or possibly the deck letting you flex in an advantage state, though regardless of whether CBs wants to win with control or OTK it's got some formidable competition. Branded, our last SD, could almost certainly edge this SD out in any way you look at it. Maybe for nostalgic appeal, I feel like they're overbalancing CBs, but with cards to improve the deck's early setup, sustainability, or board-breaking power there's room to build on.

The problem is it is a great structure deck simply because of the staple cards and not because of the new cards included that is supposed to make the archetype better. Remove them hand traps/staples there and only the fans of the archetype will buy it. 🥲
