The reaper is indeed blind, even though he has like 4 eyes. The roar being a sonar is also correct which means when you hear him roar, he knows EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE.

Anyone else ever do Ghost rodeos still? Some of the best fun I have with Subnautica is riding on leviathans, the young Ghosts being your best option. Don't try it with an adult Ghost, as they automatically charge straight at you all the time, so they kinda just spin in circles if you do manage to hook onto them, which isn't nearly as fun as launching yourself across the lost river by way of annoying the local fauna and grabbing their face when they try to turn away.

Those that still use the bioreactor, I highly recommend just using acid mushrooms. Deep or regular. Extremely easy to find and plentiful and last a surprisingly long time.

I found this video almost right after I finished my fourth play through (well third complete play through because in my actual third play through I got majorly glitched out of all my vehicles and lost the will to continue the play through). I swear on that run I had the most suicidal cuddlefish, I'm pretty sure 2 died, 1 I think despawned or ran off, and 1 I accidentally hit with my thermal knife and it ran off never to be seen again and it even played an animation of Riley stretching his hand out as the cuddlefish leaves, the cuddlefish just keeps swimming in the way only to get hurt because I'm drilling or cutting plants to make the hatching enzyme. I thought about giving my last cuddlefish to someone else hoping they would keep it alive better than I kept the last 4 cuddlefish alive but I decided against and gave them 6 ion power cells because I'm pretty sure those would become pretty useful whether the person is in early or even late game, those are enough ion power cells to replace every single cyclops standard power cell with a stronger one making it a little easier to get the cyclops to the lost river and even the active lava zone.

Hot take, the Crashfish isn't hard to scan. Just nab one of its eggs and then scan the one that hatches in the ACU, it'll be totally peacfull in the tank. Same's true for the other Carnivores with find-able eggs.

i was playing a couple days ago and discovered (i think) a new glitch where a reaper leviathan will attack your seamoth and bring it out of the water but it just kept going up until it was about 2.3 of the aurora so i got pissed and killed it when it came back down with the heat knife and stasis rifle

Funny story, I was looking for the Blood Kelp Zone for deep mushrooms to make the electric repellant module for the sea moth because I was tired of getting gangbanged by reapers and ghost levis, I was heading northeast and got my sea moth destroyed by a ghost levi, so I quit the game and went back in to my previous save file before I left, I only then figured out that I had to go northwest and that I went into the dead zone for absolutely nothing😔

Alright so I was exploring the dunes and then all of a sudden I hear a roar and I'm like: "oh ok" and then I hear the forbidden words. "Detecting multiple leviathan-class lifeforms in your area. Are you sure whatever you are doing is worth it?" And then I just race outta there like fast & furious

There's a reason and a reward for killing reapers,: 1. You take revenge because it has haunted you for the whole game and made your life 5 years shorter in jumpscares 2. You take revenge because it has totaly testroyed you seamoth 5 hundred times and for the materials and blueprints it has taken 3. You get rid of it for the whole game, even thow there's about 4 reapers around the aroura

Yeeeah...human body is not getting crushed in the depths, but big metallic structures full of air do. Common misconscption that you'd get crushed. It is actually realsitc that the character does not get crushed but the submarines do.
