This is my absolute favorite genre of perfumes. I’m a nurse so I can’t wear strong fragrances. These “your skin but better” scents are my daily go to. ❤

Thanks for the recs! I love this category for home wear. My favorites right now are still Myth and Missing Person. Also one spray of Meliora but she’s a little louder and I prefer that one in warmer months. Can’t wait to sniff the Andrea Mack one and the Micallef if I can find them.

I love Chanel no. 5 l’eau. I wear it in summer & it doesn’t smell like your grandmother’s perfume. It’s a go-to for me; could wear this for any occasion.

This is fantastic and a video that I’ve been waiting to see. As someone that takes the NYC subway every day to work I want to wear my fragrances but don’t want to choke anyone out while in such close quarters.

While in Italy in the fall I picked up Genny White Gold. LOVING it for everyday and it has the added benefit of reminding me of our amazing travels there. Adding fragrance to my souvenir must haves for future trips. 🥰

I wear Glossier You to travel. When I burn through my current bottle though, I’m going to swap to Room 1015 Sonic Flower. This type of scent is really clean and lightly floral on my skin. It doesn’t set off my neurodiverse and migraine sufferer friends/family, which is always a concern of mine for a travel scent.

I get migraines easily from intense perfumes so these are all the perfumes I can use. I’d love to see more perfumes like this

When I bought Ambrette the guy at Le Labo warned me against it because he said it was so subtle. But I loved it and I could smell it for a long time on me. I get compliments when I wear it and it’s a sleeper from the house of LL

Riddle, Nemat Amber, and Dedcool Milk definitely all smell very similar to me. I'm thankful I can smell those types of scents because they're my favorites.

Love this one! Can never go wrong with not a perfume ( dumb reach, inoffensive and beautiful), pear inc is a nice clean shampoo vibe, sonic flower/ glossier you perfect evening post shower cozy feel, another 13 long lasting compliment getter, cheeky smile I’m still testing its soo strong ( maybe I need to cut down on the sprays and retest?) funny I used to want frags to last so long but lately i dont mind when they go away so I can try another one later in the day because I get bored 🤣

I def need to check out these kinds of fragrances, as a change from my usual tobacco, bourbon, intense gourmand types. Don’t own a single your-skin-but-better, so maybe it’s time to mix it up a little - especially for days when I’m not doing anything special at all.

Love love love Salt Air by Skylar. Can’t wait for the warmer weather to wear it outside. Also love Clean Reserve Skin and Clean Reserve Sparkling Sugar. Both so light, delicious, and so skin-like. Literally no one knows for sure if you’re wearing a perfume but you still smell so good. I wish longevity was better for this type of fragrances but they’re so good nevertheless.

You should do personalized fragrance consults, so many are online only and I am going broke on blind buys. Looking for a clean, fresh scent but something that lasts, Juliette has a gun and Phlur missing person just don’t smell strong enough, suggestions on what to try next? Thinking about xmilk dedcool, le labo another 13 or jusbox cheeky smile.

I would suggest Yesterday by Room 1015 instead of Sonic Flower for this. I really love it as an everyday fragrance. Also, it has a cardamom note too!

I've watched so many of your videos, and can't help but wonder how you find out about these perfume houses? I've never heard of at least a handful of the ones you mention, and wonder where/how you find them. I have a note in my phone to remind myself to go find them but always feel so behind, lol

And yes Nemat is spot on as well for much less. I did a side by side lol. I remember telling you that (my comparing them, not originally telling you they are same) now that I think about it🤣🤣

I gotta say, I get tired of the whole bit about grandmothers and mothers wearing scents and this implying an inherent problem. They wore scents when they were young and stuck with them like we sometimes do, now. Some of them were real badasses. When my (wealthy) aunt bought me No. 5 when I was 16, I felt like I hit the jackpot. I wear "old" perfumes and love them. I think there's so much more variety today, though, that people don't have to be married to one scent only.

Eternal Musk is a much less expensive option if you want to get the “Pure Extreme” vibes from Micallef. I found it kinda by accident awhile back and will forever sing it’s praises.

Hi!!! I have worn nemat dark and white Amber for 20 years. No, you can't smell it but other people definitely will. I love them. But I do work in a sensitive environment.

I am a licensed massage therapist, and so I have to bear some more things in mind at work. Some things that I go for figures wise would definitely be things like these perfumes you're suggesting but also I wear the original Rosie sent by Rosie Jean, and then some of the clean reserve fragrances as well. I am dictating this message and so there are some errors here but hopefully you know what I'm talking about. Have an amazing time in Italy by the way.

I once had the opportunity to smell an extremely old vintage bottle of Chanel No. 5 and while it was interesting to smell, it was still a hard no for me. That old skool, classic perfumery is just a bit much for me.
