This company is going to make alot of money at that price range and performance...infact i wouldn't be surprised that this sub will be out of stock...its not for me,but for alot of people out there if they don't get this budget friendly sub...then its sad...great video shane...chow
Great review. I got two of the 3x12's in the rear of my room. So thats basicly 6 of these. Very impressed with them. Bought them as a test really but pleasently surprised by their performance. Up front I got two REL 212/SX. They blend well together and my system as a whole just sounds full range. I can highly recommend the XTZ subs.
@@therealshanelee Thats great. I hope they send two of them. Not sure what the US pricing is, but in Europe 1 of the 3x12 is relatively inexpensive so in my view one of the best values out there. I was concerned how they will play together with my two REL's but its completely seamless.
Great Video. Using myself 2x xtz 12.17 Edge Subs with an Antimode and a Denon 4400 surrounded with 2 IBeams in my Sitting Place powered by an Reckhorn Amp. Well, my Neighbours hate me...
I have the xtz cinema m8 × 3 and s5 × 2 thx ultra speakers then. They are very good then. Very dynamic, detailed, realistic/life like and good sounding then.😊👍. Buying subwoofers soon then.
Have owned svs pb1000 earlier then upgraded to xtz 12 and really liked the tight bass. And the port tuning options do really work,Midbass on xtz was more refined than svs. Then also got Spirit12 sub, which is the smaller brother of xtz12 edge. Best Vfm subs
Ah interesting. I have had my eyes on this XTZ sub for a while but as per usual SVS is also on the table when looking for subs. SVS is a tried and tested brand that delivers what you expect but it somewhat feels like "everyone" has an SVS which makes me wanna buy from another brand even if SVS are really good and gives much value for the price. XTZ also gives much value for the money at least based on many reviews I've read. Anyway would you say the XTZ plays tighter and faster but maybe not as deep as the SVS counterpart?
@@sebulbathx Xtz doesn't play as deep as svs but plays much smoother above 30hz onwards. Considering so less infrasonic bass is available i wd prefer xtz anyday. Performance per dollar too xtz wins hands down.
@@pkhammu2005 Cool thanks for the answer. I feel I don't need The ultra subsonic frequencies. I mean going a little below 20hz but playing smooth and tight Will be vetter than going a few Hz deeper but The vass is not defined. So will definately try to listen to the Xtz when I will but.
Yes finally I have been curious about your thought on this sub for very long, thank you! I think it's a little odd this sub hasn't more reviews in general, at least I haven't found that many, I mean XTZ is pretty well known nowadays and I have seen lots of reviews of their speakers. Anyway I really like the look of this sub with those rounded corners and slat type bass port.
Have an XTZ 12.17 edge. Does everything I want. Super easy to tune with the eq and port bungs. If you want tight, flat bass leave both ports sealed. If you want rumble? Unplug and get massive low end. Sounds very tight and musical to me as well. Total overkill for what I am doing in my home 😅
I had the xtz 1x12 (not edge) in my theater, to be honest. I miss them alot. Waiting for XTZ to modify/update the 3x12 to edge, when that time comes. I will buy 2 of them. Thanks for the video :)
When stepping up from a Polk HTS12 - 200W / 22-180 Hz (USD 510) to the XTZ 12.17 Edge - 800W / 19-160 Hz (USD 900), what kind of tangible difference can I expect? Given that It's 4 times the wattage, double the price, and can go slightly lower by 2db.
Dude why is it that when i was looking at an arendal sub a few years ago, a day later you post a review. (I got the arendal). And now this and i was looking at the 1x12 edge. Too bad its sold out or i would have bought it
@@therealshanelee So it sounds like they are both great choices around 1k, I've only recently heard of XTZ so it was interesting to hear your review. Any future plans to review JL subwoofers maybe from the fathom lineup?
Hey im very new here or new to this but im curious, how does this compare to the rhythmik lv12 or even lv12m they seem similar ...just wondering which is generally better
Any chance you will do dyi to commercial sub comparison with dayton audio subs in full Marty boxes? You have listened to so many different subs that you would be the one to make the comparisons.
I distinctly remember Shane doing a live stream and the discussion was that Klipsch is OK and all, but not what he’d be reviewing on the channel. Nothing but respect, as the things reviewed here are goals for my broke self… however, I will say the 12 inch Klipsch sub I bought during the pandemic is a floor vibrator for my small apartment, and provides a nice clean bass assault for my tiny budget. It’ll do while I wait for my dream job to pay me what I’m worth. Hehe. Keep it up Shane.
@@therealshanelee Watched both the reviews; so would I be right to conclude that I'd be better served with the Starke SW15, since I'm looking for something that goes lower, rather than louder?
@@bhoot I thought you meant Rythmik in general. Also, those F18s are smaller than some 12 inch cabinets I've seen. I own duals and was initially worried about their size not being able to reproduce the output claimed. I was wrong.
its not the size of the sub for infrasonics. its how low its tuned. this sub is tuned high. if u want infrasonics, guys, go monoprice monolith as they are tuned lower or arendal.
wHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE 1x12 AND THIS 1x12 Edge? I have the 1X12 and it certainly isn't the best subwoofer under $1,000 I've owned or auditioned.
