Thanks Kerrod. Getting better thanks to your teaching. Yesterday it was good golf day I got 4 pars . I am happy in my game, but see if I got consistent in the next days.
Great video thanks Kerrod. I sent it to my Dad in UK who is 85 but still off a 14 handicap as he is complaining about distance, not surprising given his age now. I may also contact you for a lesson as I live close to JCC.
This senior 66 years old ,learning golf at 59 years ,probably 3 to 4 years not playing that much only doing bad habits, but now getting better, thanks Kerrod good man good coach on internet.
Have you done a similar video talking about teeing off with hybrids and long irons addressing ball position and tee height ? Also, comparing 5 wood vs 3 or 4 hybrid ?
Hey Kerrod I really enjoy your videos. Been playing for over 30 years and have been down to low single handicap. As im getting older i have become a bit of a tinkerer as far as the golf swing is concerned. Have struggled with straight pulls for many years not knowing if it was my alignment or swing flaw. About 4 years ago I went to the A swing method ala David lead better with very mixed results. I have now been looking at stack and tilt I know that it’s not very popular like it used to be with your pros who used it fell by the wayside like Mike Weir, Charlie Wie. I find that using stack and tilt with my irons are fairly successful but have been struggling with my driver hitting massive pop ups going left. I have also been working on my grip as I think that might have been the problem all along having my right hand too much on top of the club ( weak) and therefore hands not matching. I also find that just thinking about rotating my tailbone towards my left instep is a great way of feeling rotation not thinking about my arms which had me getting stuck. I misconstrued the notion of turning your shoulders down and realised that I was starting to dip and not rotate my shoulders which obviously caused too steep a downswing as I was reverse tilting. I know this has been long winded but please can you tell me your thoughts on stack and tilt howI can hit my driver better . Cheers Leon
Sir, We really can't move 90 degrees in our backswings. I wish we all were so limber We have aches and pains and bad backs that result in a shorter arm type swing. Staying relaxed and removing tension will be the best advice I would give but then again I'm not a You Tube Instructor.
It's amazing how all these instructions mention “seniors” and forget that! As you said we have bad backs, knees, or shoulders to deal with. Wish they could give tips for seniors with a limited range of motion in all areas of the body.
Put more pressure into the right foot early to start the swing quicker resulting in less thinking and a more athletic motion. You can hit it farther with a shorter swing!
im 60 years old. There is NO way i am flexible enough to rotate like a 30yr golfer like this video shows. Ya i get that its what great golfers do. Not a senior golfer just out for some fun and trying to better their game. Sorry for the thumbs down.
Hitting with a driver is nothing like a top spin in tennis. In tennis you’re implanting top spin on the ball to get the ball to go down not up. In golf you want the ball to go up with little to no spin.
