2 you didn't mention that can be good for decks that can run them are Gamma and Herald of Orange Light since they can counter Shifter and are basically the only option to do so when going second if your opponent drops it on their turn
I play it in d link, my opponents go always draw the one of huh? 😂😂😂 I am like bro I am just trying to play the game when a card doesn't let you do that, and you mad I drew the one of gtfo😂😂😂😂😂
I adore Metaltronus. It's just tricky to value in a format because it's not just about what you can negate with it, but the quality of the body you bring out. Metaltronus is amazing when a meta endboard piece matches Atk/type/attribute with anything with a powerful gy effect or is easy material for a strong ED monster.
1 counter point on Ghost Mourner is that there are 2 scenarios where the card is a must main. First, if your tournament has a ton of Shifter decks (like mine often does) then it's much better than Veiler. The second, if you are playing Gimkick Puppets (or another burn deck) then Mourner becomes one of the best handtraps your deck could run, serving as both non engine and a pseudo engine piece.
@@LOS18 Won cuz someone Bystialed my Cattle Scream when I was gonna revive it to their field. Was just shy of lethal even with it. Mournered then used C15 to pop and burn for 5k winning the game.
RB doesn't care about Ogre at all, we're either under Shifter or protect with Lara. And while we're at it, we can also use Book of Eclipse as a defensive tool to protect from Nibiru, since we can still Contact Fuse with face-down monsters.
I actually think Superpoly is very nice into the yubel board since you can hit desirae with either varudras or soul of rage into dragostapelia which can force out phantom…
@@RhydderchZX phantom cannot be used as fusion material so unless your opponent is ending on a random yubel on their field (they wont), your loving defender is pretty bad
@@alexYu-gi-oh of course, just gotta bait the phantom and they will most of the time bring out a normal Yubel after everything resolves, and if you only have the super poly you can always make mudragon or something
In testings, I found that with new Mermail Atlantean handles pretty good going 2nd against Yubel. Combined with non-engine board breakers, makes the deck a lot more oppressive since Mermail Atlantean already has a good amount of in-archetype boardbreakers already.
@@lurrielee2755 Not really. It turns off your ability to set bodies from deck, which isn't that much of a problem for Centur-ion, it's only a problem for hybrids. The summoning on your opponent's turn is what you care about the most and that's completely online. Plus the dark Synchro can get material back from banishment.
Thrust working against shifter and mulcharmys going first feels worth mentioning, supplementing the worse end board with a trap can make up for the stuff you miss
Ultimate slayer honestly in theory is fantastic if you can play it. Against yubel no matter what happens they will find a way to summon phantom of yubel even through 2-3 handtraps, so if you can manage to handtrap them once or twice and make the end board weaker, its fantastic at breaking the half boards. Has the benefit of not being once per turn either.
@@eddysegafan6655 first thing that comes to mind is runick stuff and kashtira, but against yubel it stops grave squirmer, yama, and aerial eater I guess?
It only works against decks that NEED to banish stuff. Like if Phantom of Yubel banished instead of shuffling for cost, it would be insane. But it's pretty much only good against Ritual Beast.
I main Eclipse and Daruma in my Deck. If you know how long you can hold it until you have to activate it, it can stop the entire opponents turn on their own. A lot of times they either think its an imperm and therefore would just play through it or you hold it so long they think its a bluff and completely lose to it. I even main daruma because if you deck is good enough at grinding the card basically resets OPTs lol.
Its good ish but when you have drnm, droplet and eclipse that can negate/deal with all the monsters on the board, moon is inferior. Also neither of those target
Man, I remember when I came back to the game in 2018 and the promise was that you open one handtrap and you're going to be fine most of the time. What the fuck happened that literally 3 cards in the entire game do anything to the best deck going second?
What about super poly and yubel loving defender in side, am I missing something, I thought about siding them going second, wouldn't you clear their whole field like that?
Crow is fine for me, since I'm on Purrely, at worst is an Extra level 1 that can help me make Lyrilusc/Fucho to break a board. I also used to run veiler, but I run into too many enough decks that I had to use mourners instead since at least those would be live most of the time (looking at you random bird enjoyer).
You talked about Sphere Mode but is there any consideration for Kaijus? Are 1 for 1 just not good enough? You get to run Kaiju Slumber with them so it's a decent little package.
Ogre vs ritual beast is pretty strong by the fact you can hit canahawk or rampengu and basically remove 1 body from the field wich ritual beast really dislikes. Sadly it's not good vs shifter but after maining it for the last 3 weeks I feel ogre is in a pretty good spot.
11:40 You dont even need to chain the trap, lets them resolve Dark Ruler. You still have escape Pop Rage -> Reborn Rage into Little knight and Sharvara poping Desirae quick effect
