We survived here in Texas! It’s 67 degrees right now here in N Texas and our snow is history! Just got back our water today! 67 degrees, don’t kid about Texas! We made it
@@rshoemaker7368 yes I saw a subsequent video where they named him after I watched this one. Funny my husband gets a kick out of the fact I know the animals names on my homestead channels lol.
Daniel, Houston isnt that crazy. As kids we used to go running around in snow with just t-shirt and shorts, no shoes. This was in Iowa, and kids still do it today.
I think they farm out the "fact" checking to others, or just have a programmed AI to deal with it. I can't even find a decent place to contact them to let them know about the site. All of the reporting options are for "buzzwords."
That is so awesome that you also feed the birds among all of the other wildlife that you feed.. Stay happy, healthy, hydrated, safe and warm. May God continue to bless you and your family.
Glad to see the water running! Earl is so precious. This snow has been fun, but I’m sure most everyone is ready for it to leave lol. Keep up the awesome work love the videos !!
The snow and ice finally melted today. This storm also caused a lot of Damage to the roads. We had several days of no electricity and no water because we need electricity for the well water. We live in the country. So happy to get temperatures above freezing and being able to leave the property after being stuck nine days due to the weather conditions. We are in Central Texas west of Austin. So thankful for the water being back and no evidence of any busted water pipes. Lots of others weren’t as fortunate. Love watching your videos and Bear is a wonderful dog. Amen to having water again ❣️❣️❣️
It is really nice to see a video of Arms Family instead of a blame hacker ....... I enjoy your family much, much more !! Love it !!!❤️❤️❤️ Hopefully FB or RU-vid will get it straightened out !!
OMG those baby goats are precious! Love seeing the dogs playing and Earl joining in! Great video got to see all the animals and the family! Thanks for sharing your family with us!
We’ve have had a hard week with no electricity and water for most of the week! We were hauling water from my husband’s job in 5 gallon drinking jugs to keep the animals watered and so we could flush toilets! Got the electricity back on for good sometime after midnight on Thursday and got the well going Friday evening! I was so grateful for having running water! The everyday things we all take for granted until their not there!! Thankfully we didn’t loose any livestock or freeze to death ourselves by the grace of God!!!🙏🏼
Thank you for shouting out to Texas. I'm here recovering from the winter storm. A week of rolling blackouts and no water. Words just can't explain the suffering. Your videos always make me smile. Much needed. Thanks again for acknowledging us in Texas. God Bless
Thank you for sharing this! I really hope the weather improves. Thank you, too, for feeding the birds. Earl and Gemma both love playing in the snow just like Bear and Belle does. More power to you and your fam, Sir! Stay safe!!!
Dan you need to get yourself some heat tape, put it around your line in the barn, and plug it in when it gets cold. Simple fix, never have that issue again.
@@fctuber It wouldnt freeze below ground that quick. I live in Canada and we use it all the time. I live in Saskatchewan with windchill here during same period was -55 deg C. Works like a charm.
I LOVE this video. the footage of the ice dripping and the feeding of the birds and the variety of the backyard birds was beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Loved the kids and their snow challenge. I especially LOVED the snow angel. Reminds me of when my own daughter(now 30) took her stick horse outside for a "ride in the snow" then quickly dropped Chocolate, the stick horse, and made snow angels. It was fantastic to stand and the front door and watch. Great memories now.
Love too watch the baby goats run and jumping around! The fawns after they are born and get a few days on them are just like a baby goat. So relaxing just watching the animals!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 what fun. Gosh Mom & Dad what's winter without a snow challenge. ❄ Praying for everyone, I know you all are not used to this & my heart goes out to those that have lost loved ones. 💔 I pray you all stay safe & stay warm. God bless
So happy your 💦 water is thawed and running through the hoses to your animals. I have reported that thief of a woman to Facebook 30-35 times. They need to get their act together and take care of it! Blessings to the Arms family!
Looked like Earl is trying to keep up with the big dogs..I'm so thankful you guys made it through the weather it was 57 degrees in Edmond..felt like spring 😉
Been so long since I have seen a cardinal! Good on ya for making sure the birds survived the big freeze! Glad y’all are thawing out and everyone made it through! Thanks for being an awesome family, and can’t wait for the next video.
Those two boys brings smiles to my face. Snow diving. They are such close friend. May their friendship last forever. My son lost his best friend in a car accident 3 year ago. He had lost his grandmother a month before and 5 months, after his best friend's demise, he lost his father, my husband. I six months we lost 3 people extremely close to use.
4 " is enough for a horse. When it starts melting is when it is dangerous. New ice gives more warning... cracking sounds. Old melting ice just collapses. Nothing like suddenly swimming in a slurpee wearing heavy boots.
It got down to -2F here in Dallas. Single digits in Austin and San Antonio and 9 in Houston. 17 in Corpus Christi. Just devastated the palms statewide.
I was stuck at the Dallas airport!! Texas was completely BLACK! It was eerie.. the cops/firefighters/and ambulances were driving thru the neighborhoods checking.. ppl that had their flights cancelled, and booked hotels were being car pooled back to the Love Field airport due to no electricity 😢 we had bArely any food and water at the airport because when you’re coming into the airport and make it to baggage claim, you’re unable to go back thru to where the food shops are... :( it was unreal. The trains/buses/and rentAl cars were all cancelled 😞 LUCKILY we hAd a LYFT driver willing to drive us from Dallas to Paul’s Valley
So glad you commented about the Hacker situation, I've be doing my part, I hope FB gets on this soon , it's so wrong ! God bless you all , we love ya !
I only lost power for 2 days then it came back on but i never lost gas and water. The people that live in electric only houses got smoked. I would never buy a electric only house. The gas fireplace and gas stove burners kept our house from dropping below 55 and thus kept our pipes warm enough to not freeze.
Where I live is all electric. In the 35 years I've only been without power for three hours. All the utilities I have is under ground and almost always work. All utilities should be buried but it's going to take a socialist act to make it happen.
Agreed, even here in Hawaii we had a gas stove installed plus have generators. People saying they never needed it, have never needed it. Some people are lucky.
This is what I like to see when I watch your channel, feeding the animals, watching your gardening and bear, oh sweet Bear and Bella, and Jemma. This is what I love your family life.
My oldest is plumber and / beginning farmer.. we live up north so he has been so busy with emergency we have been frozen solid since the first of the month so he took dogs to his fiances house and brought his laying hens inside and put those into the dogs large kennels..we hit 33 and then turned right around and bam another snowstorm our forecast is calling for forties I will be thrilled but then comes the mud
I 🤔 nj the Arms family is well prepared for many scenarios, Daniels job as a state trooper he would have gained very valuable experience dealing with extreme situations. For someone who really gets into being prepared for emergency situations that they are used to would be mostly prepared for this, the freezing aspect without power would be the wild card in areas where that whether just doesn't happen.
I enjoy Arms Family Homestead so much. I grew up in the 1940s so a lot they are doing is part of my past. Oh the memories this site has brought back.I also grew up on a farm.....cotton, corn peanuts, cattle herd 100/150 . Then married a farmer, we added soybeans, oats or other grain. Of course we had our own hay. I canned and froze food for us to use year round. I cooked 3full meals a day. Carried it to the fields during planting and harvesting times to 4 to 6 men. Oh the work. I enjoyed cooking.....helping when needed on the farm. FARM LIFE.....THE BEST. ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO....WORK OR PLAY.
We are used to this for most of a year. I commend you all that have to put up with this weather when your resources are not fully set up for it. Best memories growing up in MN is making snow forts and dying it all in food color. Also, laying in the snow fort and watching the sky above. It is the most peaceful beautiful winter memory I have! The colors in the snow and the sound of silence. Just “being” a human being.
The boys with the nighttime snow - brings up memories for me! 20-some years ago, my baby-son ran 50-ft down the driveway in his boxers to throw himself into a snow drift and make an angel! 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you, thank you for feeding the wild birds. This was a much harsher winter than they're used to. I noticed on the latest Sawyer Ridge video that they had lots of dead birds that their dogs were finding. So sad. I'm so glad that you got through it unscathed.
I am so glad you guys are still on RU-vid!! Enjoy your family!! I enjoy your vlogs and it's content!! I loved the last bit on the birds!! Cardinals are my favorite birds!! Have a wonderful evening!!
