Hello ! Thanks for your video on Key West. I've been there some 10 to 12 times with my husband, we are in love with the USA and especially with Key West. We've always spent a long time at the Sloppy Joe's (among other places of course), and seen "Barry Cuda" or whatever his name, always being there performing on the Sloppy Joe's piano, I still have all of his CD's (yes, I know, I am old - young people no longer know what a CD is !!!). He used to welcome us with "La Marseillaise", because we are from France. I'm not sure he remembers... I unfortunuatly don't think I"ll go to KW again, I am alone now (widow since 5 years). I am happy to say that KW has always been one of my favourite places in the world, and the same for my husband (and we did travel a lot throughout the world !) All my love to that very special place which gave me so many unforgettable memories with my husband. Evelyne (France)
You're very much welcome. Also, thank you so much for sharing your life story. We do hope that you'll have the best of time. Be safe and stay positive 💕
Yeah, I live in one of the most expensive places in Florida. My husband and his family are "Conchs" which is different from a local. Locals moved here from other places, Conchs are born and raised here with at least a generation or more of Key West settlers. I absolutely love it here and don't plan on moving anytime soon. Been coming here since I met my husband in 2004 and he brought to meet the family. We pay for peace! I wouldn't want it any other way. Just wish they would put either a skating rink or bowling alley at Searstown and the Kmart plaza. There is nothing for kids to do but plan to become alcoholics 😵💫
I was 5 when I went there in Dec 1988, my grand parient was living there for 2 years on their Mission, I remeber seeing the Ketchup bottle from the trainride, and the best thing to do which I see was the bottom glass boat, my parient got sick on it but I enjoyed it.
. I LIVED IN KEY WEST BACK IN 1968 . I OWNED A HOUES ON WHITHEAD STREET NEAR HAMINGWAYS HOUES . I LEFT IN 1976 BY THEN IT WAS BEING OVERRUN BY SOME STRANGE ""FISH""
I have been to Key West 2 times. I absolutely love it there. I only wish that the shopping was cheaper. I love to shop and I can not afford anything in the shops.
Possibly one......camping and RV'ing......plan a stay at Boyd's on Stock Island....you will love it! Also, make the drive from Key Largo to Key West....42 bridges. The 7 Mile bridge park is open so you want to check out Fred.
Key West is the best place to take your girlfriend get drunk and have a great time go to Mallory Square at night end up a sloppy joes and if you want some good food go to the Raw Bar but you got to watch out for people ripping you off and also the homeless are a real trouble now but if you're careful you'll have a great time and whatever you do don't fight with anybody especially the cops they always said you go down on vacation you come back on probation
thank you for the support for a local family rum business Key West legal rum also offers mojito classes and the best mojitos and pina coladas you'll find. great to see all these things you have on here and thank you again!
My friend, wife and I decided to walk from Mallory Square to the Southernmost point. Friend said it was 10 minutes but after walking 30 min. found out it was 10 min. drive time. Hailed a rented golf cart driver to get back. Several drinks later we decide to talk to him again.
Mel Fisher’s Treasure Museum; Kelly McGillis(Top Gun) used to have a restaurant there; The Smallest Bar; Irish Kevin’s. You also missed all the chickens in the streets and how about the Key Lime pie!

@@marisamoravec9809 The Southernmost Point in the Continental US is at the southernmost point of the US Virgin Islands. Since the North American CONTINENT includes the Caribbean Islands (including the US Virgin Islands), Key West is only the southernmost point of the Lower 48 contiguous states.

Just got back after driving from San Antonio to KW And back. There 10 years ago in rental car from Miami to KW. The build up of the islands is incredible. The rent prices and real estate prices ridiculous.
Spent three wonderful days there in Feb '80 with my g/friend...we loved it...Sloppy Joe's didn't have all the multi colored lights...took a boat tour...recommend doing that...and buy the key lime pie...and buy a conch.
In 2014, I visited Key West. I was surprised by the number of people asking me if I liked Key Lime Pie. It turns out there is a shop called Kermit's Key Lime Pies. I replied Yes.
