I used to love this tank. It can be a real ambush master, it has good speed, good camo, and good enough depression, but the gun means you need to be close in. It's a bit like a tier 8 version of the strv M/42-57. Just rush past someone then clip their backside
With the exception of the char futur 4, I absolutely loathe every other french gun in the game. Fking troll PoS guns Drawbacks of lorraine 40t: - Base accuracy is garbage - Horrible reload of 34 secs if you aren't using vents & food - Base view range is 380 which means if you want to not use coated optics; using food is mandatory - no armour - can't work like a pseudo LT like the borat, char futur & batchat Positives: - Decent mobility - Being an old premium, it earns a good amount of credits
It's like a mini-Foch on a weight-loss program! clip a tank and hit 3 of 4 shots, taking away a good chunk of HP then having to hope you can run back and hide for the reload. It just can't snipe as well as the Foch. (but even Foch gun can be derpy!) of course this is easier to hide than a Foch is.....
Seriously? It is... not so good. Even after countless of buffs I still never feel like playing it, it's still not mobile enough, not stealthy enough nor not armored enough to be able to sit and use its DPM and accuracy. The global WR of it confirms it.
I got it recently, love it😁 You are not a frontline tank but that was expected. It's more enjoyable than the amx 50 100 imo. Beware of the slow aim though, focus on making the gun work best.
This reminds me of times Lorr 40t was the tier 9 tech tree medium. Absolute beast if played properly, same mag as AMX 50 100 (6 rounds) but much more mobile. I actually enjoyed it back then. Now unfortunately I think this format of vehicle is a bit obsolete - its speed is not impressive anymore, it is not as bursty as new tanks. Lorr 40t at tier 8 has to be played carefully, whereas Skoda T56 can mostly just yolo, unload in 1/3 of the time Lorr takes and go back before enemy realises who has shot them.
I think this is a decent to good Bond tank. It has relatively fast speed about 65% of Bourasque but with bad camo in trade of huge clip size. It can pretty much anti-light and one clip similar MT if you ram them too. The weak points probably being the gun hit dirt despite full aiming reticle, and to take out same-tier MT you MUST NOT miss your shot or it'd be the end of you especially when Bourrasque can 2 clip you. It's regardless very excel at supporting in medium range/ambush/any move that your opponents aren't aware of you.
I love the T103, you can miss as many shots with a Skorpion, so don't worry about the gun. Height can be an advantage to shoot through odd gaps in walls, and you can bounce some hits, it needs a turbo though
I've gotten this tank recently, and it's pretty fun to use. Scratches that itch of wanting to play an autoloader on a Tier VIII, but I do feel that I can only trust the gun less, especially in comparison to another tank that I absolutely enjoy despite being outdated to hell, which is the M4A1 Revalorise. Although, it shreds anything
As for me: -AMX M4 mle. 49 Liberté: it really rocks on 8 tiers, good gun handling, apart from cupola you can rely on front armor -T26E5 Patriot: amazing at turret playstyle, not the best alpha but fast reload and velocity, can be played as med. Really can make some harm. -char futur 4: the gun is a gem, good alpha, good handling, nice shell velocity. No armor BUT it can bounce spontanously some shots. Very mobile.
As a tomato player myself, I found this tank difficult to play - I went into every game with the goal of hitting two full clips and I was happy xD... rotation device, stabs and vents for me. PS - As soon as I saw that BZ I was like waving my hands and saying ..."Goodbye Max" out loud... madness that he didn't shoot you .. hahaha
@@soulbrothers7789 Wait till they shot and rush in and shoot its side and rear and retreat. If they gonna turn to shoot at you -they will expose their side armour to your teammates. Thats literally what light medium tanks are all about.
is it being said here, that 1,000m/s is bad for a medium tank? Or that it feels bad for the tank using it, and it doesn't feel as if it is infact 1,000m/s? Because many medium tanks tier VIlI do not have 1,000m/s. I get it, the SA 47 100mm gun on lorraine, liberte, Somua is derpy as hell, sure is. Not sure if its the velocity but rather the pinball inside the reticle, goes nowhere near being aimed
Max this doesn't look like the one for me...I am in search of A solid credit maker either medium or heavy. Considering Patriot, Lowe, and any others you might recommend...primary goal is to make credits. Thanks.
@MaxGamingFPS should I get this tank if I have: Emil 1951 AMX M4 49L IS-5 Charlemagne Sta2 T54 mod1 Guard T103 KanJag 105 Amx Cda 105 Elc Even 90 T92 light I have 121B So should I keep bonds for a T95/Fv4201 Cheif (if they will ever sale again) or to spend it on a Lorr 40T😂😂😂 (F2p btw)
they likely wont sell the t95 again so probably better to get the lorraine if you really want to. If I was you though id save for the next black market wg inevitably do.
I used to love this tank but it's just a little clunky by today's standards. As you say the gun is derpy, BUT the reload isn't horrific unlike something like the gsor 1008 or somua 40s+ reload. Speed is really nice for relocating between clips and is necessary as every man and his dog will pen you. Stuck at 2nd mark then just dropped it. Maybe will pick it up again for frontline or something occasionally.
Yeah i use to adore the lorr. then the somua came into the picture, better armor, 1 more shell, better inter-clip, better gun stats, and basically the same reload (35.9 vs 35.2) all for the low price of speed and camo, lorr. just lives in the somuas shadow now IMO, very sad, use to be my favorite tier 8 prem back when it came out (i've always had a soft spot for french autoloaders.)
@@PolaroidPopsicle interesting you say that, I much prefer the lorr's speed over somua. Being able to relocate usually lets me have a much better performance, I play the lorr like a budget tvp in a way
@@justjosh11 Yeah i use to feel the same back when the somua first came out, but then i played the somua some more and learned about the gun stats, and inter clip, somua just feels a lot more potent to me, but i completely agree the speed can make or break a tank, just like the batchat (my favorite tier 10) plays very much like a lorr, that gun just doesn't let me down nearly as often, all in all somua feels better to me purely based on the gun being more consistant, if the lorr had a small gun buff i would probably change my mind. Also since you said budget tvp what do you think about Škoda T 27? i've been enjoying that tank myself, gun stats are nice.
max i am currently working on the refferal program where i am playing my other acc so i can have a free t8 premium on my main acc i am now about half way there and just now seen that you can only choose between 5 different tanks i already have a 703 2 and a alpine tiger i really wanted a medium tank for missions now i can only choose between the t 54 mod 1 and the sta 2 are they worth the grind for the program or which one of the 5 would you recommend? btw i just completed watching all of your grind seasons i love your sense of humor and how you are keep up the great vids!
T54 mod one and STA-2 are both not the greatest of meds, the low pen of the mod 1 makes it infuriating sometimes. Then again the STA-2 has 0 armour but at least a decent gun. It's like deciding between chopping off your leg or arm.
I've got the t34-3 but can't decide on what to get alongside... I'm thinking guard or patriot, 40t does look good though - basically a 50 100 with boosted creds... but the Chrysler looks like it could be a hidden gem
That card isn't really meant to game at 4K, it's more aimed at 1080p and 1440p. That being said, WoT isn't a graphically demanding game and you can obviously turn down the settings. Could you game at 4K with it in WoT? Yes. Should you? Probably not. Especially when you could go with a nice high refresh rate 1440p panel to match the card.
Lul "Of course its all bounty" and "what I would expect most people to kind of have" If they played recently that is. I played since beta and had 2 years downtime doing other things. Returned to WoT a few days ago. Although the Lorraine is one of my favourite tanks it does not have a single bond or bounty equip on it. But Im curious. Please comment if you other guys can willy nilly put bounty on every tank you have nowadays? Would explain some things at least.
@@MaxGamingFPS oeh thats saad it seemed intredting for me i almost have8k bonds and its hard for me to decide what preemium tank to buy kv5 and alps tiger seemed intresting because of prefferable matchmaking but both have bad penetrations :/
can someone recomend me tier 8 to farm credits and im not the best player for now im just chosing lorr 40t it looks fun for me and then maybe heavy T26E5
that gun in a potato. No way it a recommend for me. The the guard is a better tank in my OP. But I only "ok" at the game unless you have try hard build with a good crew and a unicorn this is a No. As a you have 3 marked it and it still derpy oof ,But only my Opinion. But great video
@@soulbrothers7789 Guard has very good camo, good mobility and good accuracy and somewhat good turret armour. Again it doesnt have dpm so you dont brawl with it. Lor40t sure is outdated against paytowintier8 premiums, but still its capable, same as Batshit25.
u think most people have bounty equipment on tanks?u need to buy bp to get that and 70% of players are f2p+in this 3 games u would lose credits if u was playing without premium and boosters lol
you get one bounty for free after one season of battlepass. in first game he would still earn 4k, if we count away all reserves and premium account. Lor 40t is good, all bond t8 earns good money. 20-30k credits per game if not using gold.
@@ziginaigra Good call mate. Even if you have them in depot- using big repairs is stupid, i sold all of them- u get like 10k for one, so I had like couple million bucks for free. You dont need premium ammo nor the extra rations its tier8 premium just rush in do the clip and sit in the next bond tank. Its 20-30k per game. Battlepass chapter gives 4free premium days too, just time it well. Also its pointless to try to have good performance at tier8 , look at tank stats all tanks at tier8 have like 46 percent winratio because of bz skoda borat having 56percent winratio.
@@luke_angelo What about the other attributes? In my opinion what makes STG Guard a good tank is the exceptional camo rating and alpha damage. The gun is accurate although you need to aim properly. The speed isn't a big problem and optics fix the view range issue. In an open map, STG is a great tank to have if you know what you are doing. It isn't ideal in every situation but as far as the bond store goes, it is in my opinion one of the best tanks on offer.
@@luisrodrigues1630 In that case just get a TD. It can't play like a normal medium tank. It has TDish like gameplay. Personally I got rid of it and traded it for a Lis. Much better. For a bond tank I wouldn't recommend much. It needs a buff to be considerable
@@luisrodrigues1630 optics WON'T fix it bruv. You need a vent and optics BOTH in slots(in case you don't use prem consumable). And then what? A gun rammer? Vstabs? 880m/s for ap for a "sniper" MT is just terrible
