She is saving the fitness world from all those obsessed influencers who r trying to find the best one way for everyone for a while they got me obsessed too but thank God there are people like her with enough wisdom and experience who are not stressing us over every little study
Yep, that's pretty much the time of day I do it; when I have time, lol! During the week, I do it right after work because I'm still in that "game," mode, and on the weekend, its around noon-ish. I'm not a morning person either, lol!
This is the best advice. Been on a body transformation journey for 3 years and I tried all the times of the day and came to the conclusion that whatever works best for me is the best time. But I also have to say that the last year and a half I have been training same time of the day and that seems to get my mind ready for the gym and I perform better during that specific time because my know it’s gym time and what needs to happen.
I did try workouts right when i woke up. They were soooo difficult to get through, but then I felt great and had better energy through the day. But I'm back to my usual nights. She's right, sometimes it can be hard to sleep after.
Have been using your wisdom for 12 years and absolutely love your philosophy. I have gotten lazy after my last pregnancy and have 20 lbs to loose but somehow lack the motivation this time around. But I'm still learning from you. Thank you for sharing
So glad to hear you say this!! I’ve tried and tried over the years to be a morning workout person, but I just can’t do it. I’m an afternoon person and I love it!!
I’m getting back on the fitness wagon. Since the unexpected & tragic death of my Mom 2 years ago, I’ve not cared about my physical being. But through lots of counseling & praying as well as listening to your videos Jillian, I’m caring again. And like you say in your videos it’s basically just calories in vs calories out...and move the body more. So I’m making it a point to give a dang again and make better food choices and move my butt! Thanks Jillian! ❤️🙏
Yes- I so appreciate that you GET it. ✨👏People are asking all the wrong questions and trying to find a magic product. WHEN u work out doesn’t matter at all- it’s that u actually DO. they key everyone keeps looking for is the most natural, tried and true- consistency!! and I always say that “something is better than nothing!”💙⭐️
I do pull ups everyday. No other exercises. I agree, consistency is really the key. Whenever I feel like not doing it, i push myself to just do 2 reps but end up doing 10 reps.
I have loads of your dvd's. They are brilliant. The best ones I own. If I need to lose weight or get back into an exercise routine I do her workouts. They Really do change your body, she is amazing! Need to start eating less though. Can't stop eating crap lately
I have to say that I love the way you simplify everything, no pressure but do it! We are human and we do what is the best for our health. We just need to follow your advices. Thank you so much, just for being you and an awesome coach for us xx
That is such great advice. Workout whenever you have the most energy. For me, it is either around 11.30 AM, a few hours after breakfast or after 5 PM. Once I miss the opportunity to work out when I have the energy, it is hard to push through. This is real and useful. Thank you. Stay awesome!
keeping it simples! I like it x Works for me. I am 25 kilos overweight, can't do a push-up (not even ONE) to save my life! Can't afford a gym if I could find one! Hate "do these 5 things every day to have perfect legs, butt, arms" routines cos I'm exhausted after 2 minutes!!! SO, I go for a 45 minute stroll/walk with my other half after breakfast (he doesn't do fast!) and now I have just added the same route after lunch for just me but I do a walk/run - mostly walk but aiming to be able to run the whole way.......eventually. It is something I can do and enjoy so I won't give up after a week! Thanks for the motivation Jillian. Love your down-to-earth, no-nonsense, kick-up-the-butt-if-you-need-it attitude x:-)
When I work out in the morning it gives me a lot of energy for my day. And by the time afternoon / evening rolls around I kinda forget that I allready worked out and feel like being active again, at least a walk. Unfortunately I absolutely can't bring myself to getting up earlier to have time to work out before work. Maybe that's something I can learn over time. I haven't noticed any differences in the quality of my training depending on the time of day so far. What I have noticed is, that a workout in the morning helps with my mindset for the day, I allready did something for my goal that day, don't want to mess it up later.
I appreciate this because I’ve been really hard on myself for not working out in the evening because I’m exhausted or only working out 3x’s/week instead of 5.
This is certainly totally in sync with Jenessa Venspurke's recommendations if you want to reach your ideal weight target in a matter of weeks. Simply read her online information to understand how one easy change can easily trigger your body’s internal fat reduction process with no exercising.
jillian, thank you so much for your videos :) yours are my absolute favorite. I love how you are so inspiring, but also realistic. can't get enough of them!
Sin duda quistaste un gran tabú de mi cabeza. Siempre pensé que para tener mejores resultados debías hacer ejercicio en el mismo horario. Thank you so much! You are the best!
Most of the week I don't have a choice. Monday and Tuesday are my free days, and I know I'm at my best when I wake up- so these days I am going for a run early in the morning after my coffee, no food. The rest of the week- when I'm done working, around 17:00. I'm not at my best at all- but I can't do it earlier. Waking ip to work at 04:00, working till 16:30.
I love how you're wearing sensible, kind of plain clothes. You are so beautiful and have such a great, strong body that you don't need any frills on your clothes! That's my goal - to be so fit that I'd look best wearing just a tank top and jeans
Thanks for this i have bern following you for some time now and i realky must admit that I have tried to put what you teach here in action and I have seen very big change in my body am starting my channel and I hope I will get my ideal weight through what I have learnt and put into practiceso far I have lost 10kgs since June upto now by just watching what I eat and everyday workout .and as you say I have learnt that consistency is very key when it comes to excercise THANK YOU.
Jillian helps us pears girls out. Can you give any pointers to women that store fat on legs and hips. I literally lose weight everywhere before I get any weight off my legs.
Question: I prefer to work out at night (after 9pm) but I find I'm so hungry afterwards. I don't want to eat very much (if at all) because I want to give myself 12 hours in between meals. I tried having a larger dinner but that doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?
Train whenever you can fit it in. I had to train with my toddler trying to jump all over me. Not as effective as if I had been able to have the time alone but it was fun and I turned up.
I've recently discovered your channel and I love it!! I'm due to go back to teaching in a setting where students will be socially distancing from staff and from peers. They will be sitting down a lot :( What exercises can they do whilst sitting on their chair or standing by their desks, possibly between lessons? I would really like to give them the opportunity to fortify their bodies as well as their minds.
so toy say hiit training makes for the best after burn... but if I'm training at night is my after burn going to waste because I'm going to sleep soon after?? I train about 1 hour before bedtime because that's when I have time
Jillian you are stunning and amazing! I wish I had your confidence and grace. Do you think you can do a video on successful weight loss strategies for petite women? X
For me, it’s better when I wake up. Before my mind can kick in and tell me shit, before my body can drag as the day goes on, before I get distracted. I like to wind down in the evenings and get my mind and body ready to sleep.
Are your app workouts effective for men, too? I understand that all are welcome, but will the workouts on your app be effective for men? Because I am interested in subscribing. Thanks
I’ve read somewhere that the best time for your body to burn fat is first thing in morning when you wake up. 🤷♂️ but I literally have no energy to work out in morning.
She’s the only person I know who has said she’s not a morning workout person. She might be a relative!! Jks aside. Thank you, btw you look exactly like Sarah connor
