Great question, they basically act as an awning for your slides. They prevent leaves/sticks etc. from landing on top of the slide and causing any issues when you go to close the slides up. basically a shield for the top of your slides!

I don’t think you have ever taken theses off road. Have a utv and all the glass would be broke.
