@@mitchellkphotos seriuously, making a 35mm (which most photographers define "boring") look as immersive and "fun" as a 28mm proves that what's behind the camera is what really counts. Hats off.

Yeh, I think it won't have direct competition because there's nothing like it, I'd basically be updating it every other week, so it would be like a HUGE knowledge base with everything I know about travel photography. Most membership sites of that sort take a while to release things. I can only think of Skillshare doing regular uploads, but they are not only photogrpaphy, some of the courses are utterly useless to many.

@@mitchellkphotos Yeah, I just wish that the screen on my a7IV was like the one on the A7III. I understand how the way that you can flip it out to the left is good for video, but the way it's done on the a7III is more stealthy. Of the latest, cameras, only the a7r5 gives you that option but it's $3500 and I haven't had the a7IV long enough to sell it, just for resolution, slightly better autofocus, and the rear screen. If photography was my livelyhood, I'd consider it, but, I'm just a hobbiest. Oh well.

@@Daniel_Ilyich Not many options for tilt screens in full frame. Lumix and Olympus have them (GX85, GX9, OM-D E-M10 III and IV. Fuji XT50, X100 series and XT5. I do street photography with a GX85, the tilt is an advantage for sure.

@@hanumanguy Yeah, I think if I could do it over, I would have purchased the a7III rather than the a7IV. Granted the a7IV is a better camera specifications-wise, but sometimes the comfort of how you use a tool is more important than slight improvements in image quality or autofocus (that was already more than sufficient in the a7III). Oh well. You live and your learn. C'est la vie!

No. I never made one like this and when I did about lenses Lumix was 6 years ago. I use it far less now. Was still recommending more or less same focal length.

@@mitchellkphotos maybe my memories are not correct. But yes, I also love that focal length and now use all the time Olympus 17mm f/1.2 PRO.

Very loaded question. I've been meaning to create mote, but... it's not easy. I think there are some people who are creative and their brain just works differently. We are not good with structure. We're good with spontaneity. Good at adapting. But, routine and structure... it makes me depressed. However, I realise that this is needed for any kind of success. I AM also very happy to just enjoy life. Life is so good the way I live it. I just want to continue doing what I do. You can't really put a price tag on that. I make enough not to worry. OF course I'd love more $, it means more freedom. Before the pandemic I was really comfortable financially. Things are still ok, but not amazing financially. Sometimes videos help with that. Sometimes they open up opportunities. But you see, even this video, it has "lens" in the title. I had to do a certain angle for it to get people to watch. If I had it my way, I would not even do this, well, maybe I would every now and then because I love sharing my experiences, but, I am working on makign the kinds of videos that I want, not giving a shit about views, experimenting. We'll see. As far as talentless photogs, often they are very good presenters, great personalities. I think it's not only about who's the best photographer. I try to learn from everyone. Anyway, thank you for your comment. It's an interesting question. I think about it often myself. You know, relatively speaking, 67k subscribers might not be much, BUT... compare that to how much a magazine publications gets seen OR exhibitions, things like that, and it's amazing. We're still in amazing times. If I can make enough money to keep doing this and just having enough freedom, I can't complain. I am a relatively free person. I get to be with my family everyday. I get to see my daughter grow. I teach her things. It's such a fufulling life. For me, the only purpose of "fame" would be to get more access and to meet more interesting people. Otherwise, I think it's a burden .

@@mitchellkphotos Thank you for replying and sorry if my english is not good enough, maybe the words I choose sometimes give another meaning to what I write. I didn't get a notification on your reply but decided to come back today to see if someone had commented. I'm glad I did. So, basically you do these videos because they truly give some sort of monetary benefit or might bring you opportunities even when they have not that big of a reach yet. Or perhaps you are building something for the future or betting that they will someday go viral or you could sell the concept to a production company or streaming site? I have had this idea as well but this is also a bet that seems so far fectched to me that I never do anything to achieve it. Only ideas written and stored. And partly because when I saw others do similar ideas I see them not thriving or failing and fading which makes me think that perhaps talent or quality is not the key but investment, sufficient amount of money for marketing and rich people connections. Since 2014 I wrote and recorded content similar to the one in your channel, but never posted anything, teras of videos of travels in my country doing street photography and landscapes and such, talking to the camera but never no one seeing what I said. Just sad. Now 10 years later I'm thinking on posting even if I get nothing out from it. That's why I started following you, for inspiration, just as I have followed others for the same reason and to see which ones thrived and which ones didn't. The less telented thrived A LOT. The talented ones faded away or got stuck never growing. 67k subs are A LOT but I was comparing it to the big influencers that are less talented, less experienced but they got born with charm, charisma, luck, no psychological traumas, no childhood abuse that for one can foster great art but on the other hand can cripple you to the point where only after you die the world might see your art pieces or ideas. Usually people that focus on talent or experience or raising skills don't care about charisma or social skills and struggle with emotions, that's why I think the talented are not good influencers. Even the best photographers in the world have a micro following. Also museums or magazines like you mentioned, they have micro followings but they still make money, in other traditional ways of course. Relationships relationshios relationships, the one thing I hate the most, kissing ass, being a hypocrite. I was just wondering how you thought about this because I live in a small town in a developing country where I have no one at my level to talk about these topics to learn and perhaps improve. Now I think I see your perspective and I will add it to my consciousness to see if I can make something good out of it. Again, thank you for taking the time to reply. I apreciate it a lot. I consider you one of the best on this platform, on the top 10. Your quality and story telling is just wonderful. I truly wish you recieve somehow all the money you want because I know you would make an amazing use of it.
