It was their first song together.. GulzarJi and Pancham. GulzarJi met Pancham at a recording studio in Rajkamal where he was doing the background score of another movie. He handed Pancham a paper which had lyrics written 'musafir hoon yaaron '..and left the studio. The same night, rather midnight Pancham went to GulzarJi's house and said that he was ready with the tune. Both sat in his car and Pancham, while driving, started singing and tapping the car hood for rhythm. For two hours in the middle of the night they were roaming on the empty streets of Bombay. The song was born. This is as narrated by GulzarJi himself.

Primary School time 1974-1975 i saw this fim in school and in residential colony in Jaipur one uncle arranged for kids on projector and screening on one wall.Sweet old memories when black and white tv was luxury.Color tv came to india in 1982 Asian Games.👍🙏

There were many instances when RD Burman and Kishore Kumar didn't get awards by Filmfare. RD Burman didn't win any Filmfare award in the 60s and 70s. Also Kishore Kumar didn't win Filmfare for 6 years after winning the award for Aradhana.

Pancham da the Drunker, smoker , 5 shal tak Rita Jee ke sath rahe ekk santan tak na hua. Yeh koi sankirn monodasha ya soch nahi hai. Samjha ja sakta hai Pancham da drinker smoker ke sath sarir ki chamta Kam raha hoga but inshan bahut achha compose koi nahi takkar ka.
