Best twin-boom aircraft / War Thunder 

Hey Gaijin, I love your game very very much, but please, decompress br’s. The situation at 8.0 - 11.0 (planes) is abysmal, and not as fun as it could be. I think it’s totally worth to wait for a match a minute longer, but have it be fair, balanced, and most importantly, FUN

The only thing that can beat me in my P-38 is the repair cost

P-38K is probably my absolute favorite twin-boom aircraft. If anyone of you have played the P-38L, the P-38K is that on steroids.

The Vampire was my first jet and it is still my favorite

If you are a smart and patient player, the Narval is one of the best fighters in the game. It clims slow so you will have to side climb a little even with its interceptor spawn. After climbing just focus on maintaining a significant energy advantage and use the 6×20mms to wreck everything.

P-61 black widow. Beautiful, fast, hits hard, and one of if not the best night fighter of WWII.

You guys even forgot the best twin boom, the bronco

love the Lightnings and those Swedish twin-boom fighter-bombers. Several high-caliber guns in the nose is nothing to sneeze at, especially when they can still outturn a lot of other fighters. Question: Why do some planes have compartments to catch casings from their guns, while most just eject them into the air?

I own the P-38K and I can confirm that it is an insanely strong aircraft. Surprisingly good maneuverability, great guns with lots of ammo, and absolutely insane engines. It has great high altitude performance and a climb rate of 24m/s at 5.3 which means you can outclimb pretty much anything on top of it getting an air spawn. I usually climb to about 6000 meters by the time the two teams merge allowing me to loiter for some time while I pick a target. It is very good at boom and zoom as it has very strong engines, but a downside is that is has a relatively low rip speed compared to some single engine fighters at the BR. Rudder compression can also become an issue at high speeds so making some adjustments in a dive can be a little awkward. Last but not least, with it being a premium, it has a very good reward multiplier for SL and RP making it a viable grinder. I highly recommend picking it up next summer if you have the chance. Besides, you'll get to flex the fact that you have the best P-38 model in the game ;)

Of the twin boom aircraft that are in the game, my favorites are without a doubt the P-38 Lightning and the P-61 Black Widow!

De Havilland could have easily put a pair of ADENs in the bulges outboard of the main fuselage on the Sea Vixen.

My favorite is the Sm.91, it’s armament is so good. It has a surprising vertical maneuverability too, when I was fooling around I managed to make 2 bf-109s and a Yak try to follow me and set them up to be shot down by my team.

Gaijin if you think keeping the KV 1B at 4.0 is a good idea you are wrong. The KV 1C might suffer a bit at 5.0 but even then. As a German main with my friend who has the KV 1B, I can tell you that it should be 4.3 or you can add more powerful guns in each tree to deal with it at 4.0. The Germans get multiple proper high velocity guns by 3.0-3.3 with the Marder III H, Panzer IV F2, and G, and Stug III F. I recommend it even if I am a German main, and will be dealing with the SU-85M and the T-34/85 (D5T) when and if they go down to 5.0 with my Panzer IV H and J. I don’t complain as much, and just deal with it on the battlefield. But for the sake of the game’s improvement and for the average player’s experience I honestly beg tou Gaijin to do something, thank you for considering and reading my thoughts.

Increase RP and SL gain for non premium players. Adding more vehicles without adding a higher multiplier will only make the grind more extreme.

Just saying, but historically speaking, most if not all of the P-38s could carry up to 2,000lbs of bombs

as a Swedish player I fall in love with the j21a2 its 13.2mm guns with the air targets belts act like the mg151 the plane is perfect but the down side repair cost but a plane I would love to see as a tech tree plane is the vl humu a finish version of the f2a1 buffalo it will be nice to see it at 2.3 in realistic and 2.0 in arcade love to hear you voice Bruce :B

Loving the sea vixen and p38k I got it on its first release and it flys better than a tiger cat at a lower br! The 38k is a masterpiece.

My personal favorites are the Lightning and the Venom. The former is the classic example of a twin boom aircraft, and has performance at its BR range on par with or superior to single engine aircraft in almost all regards. The Venom, meanwhile, is slower than most Jets it fights, but it has superior turn response and good acceleration

The de Havilland Sea Vixen is one of my favorite jets in real life because it's so quirky and its history is storied as well. In game, it's not great, no guns, sub-par AAMs, but it's really easy to get above everyone and dive on top of them and at 8.7 it's kind of perfect where it sits, especially since SU-25s moved up to 10.0.

The SAAB 21 series is a great one, not only do they look great their performance is also amazing ^^

Twin booms are great, but sadly, I still don't have any of them. But I'm on my way to get the Lightning.

Why are you moving the jumbo 76 to 6.3 why?????????

The Swedish J-28b is King because of it’s great ammo for the Hispanos and you can turn-fight almost all enemies. It’s acceleration and survivability is quite good too. Never had an easier time getting aces. With or without talisman, it’s the best grinder for that tier.

My fav is the p-38. Fell in love at first sight.

A21A-3 is my fav a nice plane with some bombs and 13.2 mm galore with a convenient 20mm for all sorts of targets.

Oh its not that much of the fighte but the P-61 Black Widow is the go to in my case, 4 bombs, 4 belly mounded 20mm cannons and that great 360 roof turret with also 4 50 calls is great bouth in mixed or air battles gotta love that thing.

I love the British Sea Vixen because of the wide variety of payload

S.M.91 is an amazing plane, definitely my favourite in this list

Dear war thunder I feel as many others that this game is so good but it could be better, as a grinder myself I still find it hard to reach the jets and I think you guys have so much good content and it’s all just sitting there for people with jobs to go to or with strict play time. If you guys could find it in your hearts to make it easier to get RP and then I’m sure the community will hail you guys and I will too I understand this is a free game but if only you could give the people a chance and I’m sure they will support you please change. Thanks

Dear Gaijin, I've played your game since released, over the time I love the improvement from graphic to engine and even sound in the game. But recently, I've found out that some how reward for shooting down tanks and bombers is ridiculous low (850 sl for a panther)? Repair price have some how sky rocket 7k+ SL to repair a Panther A. The gap is too large and imbalance. I hope you'll make some adjustment for this. Best regards

A21RB above SM.91? One is a slow jet with worse guns than it's prop predecessor, the other is an amazing plane with A LOT of firepower, a rear gunner, similar speed to the jet and similar manoeuvrability.

Why the Vampire and not the Venom? The Venom is literally a superior, upgraded model to the Vampire and is still a twin boom. I nicknamed my Venom the "Mig Killer" cause back in the day when the Mig-15's were a plague, the Venom was one of the few jets that could out turn them and still had the speed to keep up with them.

So is the F-82 not considered a twin boom aircraft? Cause I'd say it's a hell of a lot better than some of those listed. For fighting aircraft you can load 14 M2 Browning .50's and for ground you can bring up to 2x2000lb bombs. Down side is gaijin hates us and made the repair cost 25k sl.

I am using one of the P-38 variants and i am not convinsed because the aircraft is too slow compared to other aircraft and even some bombers and i have unlocked all the modifications on the aircraft(if someone asks) P.S I apologise for my english

Hey gaijin! I have a question, what can i do with the first mig 9?, im outrated, outmanouvered and outspeeded by almost everything in my br.

OK this is cool and I love the game but, please fix the repair cost. I am not really good at the game and I basically playing to have fun. But game punishes me for playing. Repair costs are too high and I am keep going broke broke. Please fix the repair costs.

i would literally do anything to get my hands on a fw-189, i had it on pc but my computer broke so i couldnt use it anymore, i play on xbox so i cant go to the marketplace either. please bring it back for an event at some point🙏🏼🙏🏼
