Best USA Iron Weight Plates 2024 | Rep Fitness vs Rogue vs Strength Co
#repfitness #roguefitness #strengthco #homegym #garagegym ‪@REPfitness‬ ‪@thestrengthco‬
REP's USA-Made Equalizer Iron Plates are our highest-quality, cast-iron Olympic plates, featuring extreme attention to detail and symmetrical grip holes for easy maneuverability. A smooth outer rim with beveled edges provides a comfortable grip, and the six precision-cut grip holes (on the heavier plates) also make it easy to use the individual plates for exercises. These plates were designed in Colorado and made in the USA. Weight tolerance is guaranteed to be within 2%.
Equalizers - including the rims, text, and sides -- are finished with a premium metallic black E-coat, which provides an even coating that is extra durable and aesthetic. A machine-drilled center hole creates a tight fit on all standard-sized barbells. USA-Made Equalizers are sold in pairs (2.5, 5, 10, 25, 35, and 45lbs), as well as nine different sets (from 175-425lbs).
Plate Sets:
• 175lb - One Pair: 45, 25, 10, 5, 2.5
• 230lb - Two Pair: 45; One Pair: 25
• 245lb - One Pair: 45, 35, 25, 10, 5, 2.5
• 265lb - Two Pair: 45; One Pair: 25, 10, 5, 2.5

• 320lb - Three Pair: 45; One Pair: 25

@@NoFate247 So I feel I am kind of the average dude (54 y o) when it comes to the weight I lift. The 355lb package is more than sufficient for all my movements inside my rack. They do look cool and Weight it Out plates can be made to just have their cool logo on it so you get handles, cool logo and thinnest 45s out there. I have Rogue USA Olympic plates which I think are second thinnest 0.9" for 45s and love the looks and how thin they are but hate the thin lip. If they had grips like Weight it out would be best plates in my opinion. I went with thin as I thought I'd get one Athena and would use Gym Pin and with 2:1 pulley might need to put 180+lbs on it to make 110lb stack heavy enough to do light lat pulldowns. I ended up getting dual athenas so have 220lbs now to combine with GymPin so in hindsight wish I got your recommendation or Weight it Outs.

I used to be the one of those that would say "weight is weight"; until I got my Rogue Deep Dish plates. I had been using my basic Standard weight plates from the 90s and they got the job done, but I just feel more connected to the bar and movements with my deep dishes. Maybe it's just in my head? I dunno. The old Standard plates are used on my leg machines- that's where "weight is weight". While the new Rep plates are sexy, I still prefer my deep dishes. They still trigger my nostalgia from reading the old bodybuilding magazines as a kid and working out in the dungeon gyms. Plus, factoring Ma. taxes and shipping, the deep dishes are .16 per pound less. For alot off people, the deep dishes aren't their cup of tea for many reasons, which that .16 difference could be easily overlooked. Thanks for reviewing these, and actually using them instead of spending 15 minutes just saying how "ssssiiiick" they look on your rack.

I own a pair of the Rogue USA Olympic 45's and will be buying more of their irons. Despite the real justifications you've given for the higher cost, I'm not sure if it's really justifiable from a logical standpoint other than a sacrificialnthithe offering to patriotism and GDP.
