We have 4 Pod Point Solo 3 22kW EV charge points to get on the wall. We have some slight reworking to do due to RCD gremlins lol.
Plus I show the van loadout using the Milwaukee Packout setup.
Plus some A121 academy chat!

How much does it cost to get a install only for pod point 3

Did you have to get the dno to do assessments before hand for those or just notify after completion

Nice update on the install, certainly is a boon of you can get the van close to the work area with all the tools. I don't think selectivity will matter if each charger has its own RCD upfront, the loss of supplies is pretty much the same whether the upfront one or the one inside the charger trips first. If you have an upfront RCD charger feeding multiple chargers then there may be an argument for installing time delayed units.

Mark the whole idea that you have came up with is superb mate, I myself went through what your helping to try and avoid, I was a 4th year apprentice on a government scheme 6 weeks away from my AM2 and a week away from my final principles exam. I got a phone call from my college saying that my funding had been stopped as the company behind the scheme (GM Chamber of Manchester) had ceased trading. I still don’t fully know how it all worked but it left me in a dark place as I lost a whole 2 years progress and qualifications as I didn’t fully complete my apprenticeship, I had to go back to a training provider, part with a small fortune and hire an Assesor to get me to where I am now. It’s such a shame that I’m probably not the only one out there that has gone through this situation. But it’s truly amazing what you’re doing for the industry and young talents out there. Amen 🙏

I've never seen a stuffing gland being used backwards before. Are you just passing the inner core of the SWA through? What did you do to prevent moisture from getting into the steel armor, end the armor on the inside and just pass the inner core through the wall? Regarding the academy, education must be available and open to everybody with as lower bar to entry as possible - What you're doing is commendable. If somebody wants to achieve something, they should be given all of the tools to help them get there. The complaints about it are for a single reason, those people are jealous - They are the kind of people who think that just because they didn't have that opportunity available to them, nobody should have it. It's the same with people who have been mistreated by an employer in the past but then complain about unions fighting for workers rights - Just because nobody was there to stick up for them, they think that everyone should be trodden on because that's what society has beaten into them. They are angry, vile people - If I were in your shoes I'd take great pleasure in knowing that it was annoying that group of people.

Hey! Thanks for watching. Very common on EV installs to install in this way. The armours and outer sheath are clamped in the inner tunnel. Best way I can think to describe it 🤣. So they are sealed in the washer/tube. We don't bring the armours in to to avoid any bypassing of the built in pen fault detection. Less of an issue on the podpoint as mainly all plastic but deffo a factor on other manufacturers. The inner cores are only covered in a bedding rather than insulating material. So this can't be done without conduit etc. It is what it is with the complaints. I am proud to have helped 2200+ ppl into employment and for taking steps and speaking about the miss selling of training.

@@electrician247 Ah I see, that makes a lot of sense thank you for explaining. I've seen heatshrink being used but it makes a lot of sense to use the stuffing gland as there's plenty of length on them and it maintains a seal without needing glue-lined heatshrink.
