We had an idea of what this van would look when it was finished and what the space would be like, but so far, it has exceeded every expectation! In this weeks episode we have to go right back to an empty shell to do all the prep work for the final fix. It's definitely worth it though! We couldn't be happier with how it's coming together. However, Jon pushes his luck a little too far this week and isn't best impressed with how I exact my revenge! So join us as we share our tips and tricks along the way and as always, have a laugh.

I have got to say I have had nothing but a smile on my face watching this this morning. Jon could do with giving Jess a hug now and again, but your joy for life and what your doing is infectious. Your both just enough daft, to be happy inducing and serious enough to make things understandable, and you have so much fun together achieving your goals. Really hope we get some more builds from you in the future. Your up there with Adam Savage, Dominic Chinea in your entertainment and education.

I would... without a doubt, buy a van or commission one (if I could afford it) made by these two. As bloody annoying and cringey as their "comedy" links can be, their workmanship is top drawer... and Jess's imput is up there too, not just a pretty face, although the phone time wasting is frustrating, I feel for John... 😂😂 😉👍🏻

Damn! How did this almost 25 minute video finish so quickly! You are so good, I could keep watching for triple that amount of time with ease and that's coming from someone who gets bored very easily with videos that fail to get to the bloody point. Something you two are definitely not guilty of! The van is coming along so well that I am beginning to get very green with envy. Absolutely stunning quality and it really looks good. Wickes do a 12mm thick laminate worktop that is bonded under high pressure. Great to cut and glue and it’s fairly lightweight. Apparently it’s very hard wearing as well. Me and my son are just about to use it on both our new kitchens. It is available cheaper on other online sites.

As someone who is wanting to do van life, it would be great if you could do a full cost overview once the van is built. Great as usual. Looks like you have chosen 'warm white' LEDs, about two years ago I have gone to 'cool white', it is better light for seeing anything and much less attraction to insects, has been a bonus. Might have to come and build a van in NZ one day!! They are the middle of the road ones they do here called day light so they aren’t the super white light ones or the yellow light ones in the middle, they do show up a bit yellow in this but much nicer in real life. I didn’t know the insect info though, useful to know thanks 👍

Tip for you when it comes to spray painting walls and cabinets. Once sprayed, go over it with a roller. It adds texture and makes touch-ups much more difficult to spot.

Hi J+J, Keep up the good work and the brilliantly 👍done videos. Just thought I'd let you know what the difference is between blue bosch and green bosch, blue is trade meant for 8hrs a day green is for DIY 80 hrs a year gears bushes etc far better quality. Hope this helps you on wondering why the colour difference. Sorry about the long 😂 message oh by the way your video's are far better than any other van builds🙂. All the best Julian

I started watching you guys a few weeks ago at 16,000 subs. Now 34,000 in just a few weeks, WOW!! But hardly surprising. Quick question for John, aka Guy :) will you be fitting an engine pre heater before you artic trip. Check out Alex at mispronounced adventures. He has done 2 winter trips to the artic in a 2 wheel drive transit with temperatures as low as - 30 and managed to freeze his coolant. Vans looking awsome. Ged x

I know it’s been incredible, when we first started we used to be so excited that we got one subscriber in a day so you can imagine how stoked we are that things have gone so well lately and still loving it, so regarding the engine pre heater yep definitely mate, I saw that froody is soon to be reviewing a Chinese diesel pre heater in the next few weeks so waiting to see what he says about that, but funnily enough we were watching o Some of his videos last night where he crossed the ice road, incredible 👍

I've been secretly badgering the Discovery Channel about you two, sending them links to your RU-vid channel, please don't hate me for it but you are television gold. If ever there was a Discovery Channel about self build vans then you are the obvious choice, the banter and humour is so natural and flowing but the gold is the pure skill that you have as a van building team. I don't want this Sainsbury's van build to end.

Your videos randomly popped up a couple of weeks ago when I was at home ill.....I'm hooked!! Love a bit of TTT (I'm locked into DeWalt...but Milwaukee are great tools! I would get some but too many chargers!). Thanks to to guys I'm now planning my own conversion 😬😬 . Would love some more in depth vids on the plumbing (inc gas). Also super appreciate all the little tips and tricks, much better than watching the usual boring time lapse videos that everyone else does.

That’s brilliant we love hearing that people are getting into van builds and travel! It’s the best!! Stoked for you. Will do our best with the plumbing stuff. Jons planning to do a channel where he can do more in-depth videos on jobs and bits about tools but we just haven’t had the time to film anything for it yet, might have to be once we get back from Africa. Obviously too late for this build, but when you do another, take a look at the iMass instant hot water heaters dude. I've got one in my camper and it's brilliant. No issues with freezing (in the UK at least) whatsoever, instant hot water on tap and not much more than a Truma 💪
