@@ElectricGuitar13 I’d say in a sense it is his character. Vegeta seeing Broly be the actual legend he’s been told about his entire life. I’d imagine he even truly believed he was/could be the LSSJ at some point. I do agree, he was acting bitchy in that movie, but it sorta makes sense that him seeing such a powerful, historic, and unbeatable opponent, would make him just crumble.
I’m not even gonna lie, that part kinda broke my heart………Lol i can’t help but laugh at how emotional I get over a anime characters death but at the same time it’s like……damn😂💔
@@diocooler256 dude… i found a list of all voice actors of all characters.. half of the characters are voiced by Christopher Sabat! Even Porunga, Shenron, Korin and nearly the entire Ginyu-Force! He did an amazing job not letting his voice be recognized.
Bruh this shit is incredible. I always wanted Vegeta and Piccolo to fight, Piccolo has always been my favorite but Vegeta is cool too. Who am I kidding, every character in this series is amazing.
Bruh their whole life stories blend with one another sooo damn well that they’re like this odd pair of brothers in arm who both have to find themselves after having been lead down paths of selfish ambitions
@@majidsoprano93 Buu, Android 18, android 17 , Champa, beerus, videl, chi chi ( buu saga ) …Yamcha , tien and Goku if you didn’t ask dragon ball and early Z , list goes on
Vegeta and Piccolo are very similar. But they have some distinct differences. -Vegeta is the stronger fighter but is still pretty smart. Piccolo is the better strategist, but still a very skilled warrior -Vegeta is more aggressive, boastful, and savage. Piccolo is more composed, reserved, and analytical -Piccolo is forethoughtful and patient, but sometimes misses opportunities. Vegeta goes right in and handles business asap. He rarely worries about future outcomes better or for worse -Vegeta is proud of his heritage. Piccolo doesn't really give a crap about his -Piccolo is slightly more empathic and caring thanks to Gohan. Vegeta, while not a bad guy, is still very abrasive and a hardass. But he means well -Vegeta will always obsess over becoming stronger than Goku. Piccolo... meh, whatever.
Nah, the amount is just fine it makes it special Make it too much it ends up being a schizo and annoying since they're very similar not counting the VA
@@lennarthomas First off, the gradual change from him being a ruthless fighter to him practically fathering Gohan, realizing that his hatred for Goku is kind of pointless and actually integrating into his family as a result of the lessons he learned and bonds he created- while still maintaining his original grumpy persona is quite well done. He has his slip ups, but considering how much he has on his plate he maintains his composure quite reasonably, even in the face of Vegeta, still isn’t buddy buddy with him though, so he’s still written in a way that’s loyal to his personality. He reacts to situations his own way and even when he goes along with the group he sometimes stands out with the choices he makes. He is confident, but doesn’t let his pride detract from his dedication to improve, nor detract from his respect for others (that aren’t aggressive with him). Also the occasional funny remark he makes reminds the audience of his crude nature. If you don’t think he’s well written, you unfortunately don’t know how to read.
I like to think that Vegeta and Piccolo both have silent respect for each other, I like to imagine that if there weren't any capable Saiyans available to fight alongside him Vegeta would want Piccolo to fight with him. They've both made jokes at each other and love a good "Hmph." sometimes, I can imagine then having a drink together to discuss things lol
i know its a movie and its not canon but When Piccolo showed that he was more of a badass then vegeta in the broly movie, in my mind, i was like "Bruh, vegeta a wuss"
@@eibarman-5750 Not sure where you got that from. Yeah, that movie was pretty bad. To be honest though, all of them are. They're designed specifically with fan service in mind and they don't really have the smarts to make an engaging story. The TV specials and Cooler's Revenge were the only movies where i felt like the writer actually cared enough about the plot to make it satisfying.
@@ThisHandleSystemCanGetNicked dead zone, tree of might, coolers revenge, bojack unbound (purely cos gohan is my fave, movie itself was meh), bardock special, the first broly movie, fusion reborn, the new broly film are the ones i like.. Oh and the one with the false super saiyan transformation/lord slug cant remember the name. Canon Story plot line isnt really important in the films.
Piccolo is a S tier character and him and vegeta always had neutral respect for each other tho not always seeing eye to eye, there speeches and interactions and development are S tier
man each one of their interactions is so amazing these two characters have some of the best development in all anime and manga really, i just wish dbs was the sequel we deserved
I never heard the "goodbye my friend" before. Considering Piccolo always had some kind of dislikening towards Vegeta its a little heart warming for him to finally admit/consider him a friend. Although i do wish Piccolo had fought Vegeta at some point. But would be hard to justify their fight post frieza saga.
I think the best moment for them to fight was right after Piccolo emerges from the time chamber and Vegeta talks his shit right before he enters a second time. I think that’s when their power difference is the smallest.
Maybe best time for closeness of power between themselves but the best moment would have been on namek but they was too occupied with a psycho alien warlord
@Fabulous Fiona yes that is the reason why they're on the same sides. The enemy of my enemy is my friend etc. They weren't really friends still at this point. At this point it was still justifiable if they had a scrap.
@@ApolloTheUltimate I think piccolo also saw himself in Vegeta both -were born evil -spared by goku -forced to team up with other Z fighters against stronger foes -overtime they both had people who treated them more human (gohan for piccolo and Bulma for Vegeta) -both end up making sacrificial deaths for their loved ones -on a side note piccolo even points out his similarities to Vegeta when he checks the remains
Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Piccolo go on his own adventure to maybe Universe 6 to explore and understand not only himself but his people and their history and along the way, grow either powerful enough to handle whatever godly foe Goku and Vegeta face or maybe even counter their godly power and maybe find a way to use the show's heavy reliance on power against itself. I just want Piccolo as well as many other characters to have their moments. Maybe even take Goku and Vegeta out or make them the background characters for once.
@@umarislam7500 they killed goku off in cell arc, gohan took over, goku did come back in buu saga but he was supposed to be an assisting character, why the whole "limited time on earth" plot line? And vegeta was also killed off. They changed it back when akira felt it wasn't right. Gohan was originally meant to be the main character, wouldn't work with goku/vegeta still around. whether you or anyone agreed with that idea or not it's obvious at one point goku n vegeta were taken away from spotlight......Lol
@@slawton17 Yep. DBZ fans back in the day felt Gohan would carry the torch and be the main character. At the end of the Cell saga, it was just proof. Also Gohan going full potential and taking on Super Buu. All cocky and shit like Piccolo. As always Toriyama had other plans. Instead of Vegeta and Goku. I want more Gohan and Piccolo moments. Wholesome asf seeing those two team up.
What I like about their slim and rocky friendship is that for all their oddities they still came from a similar place and above all respect each other as fighters
So nice to see people still upload my two favorite DBZ characters sharing their moments. All though there are some missed parts like the fish jumping out fo water and them two chilling on top of a tall building. Those moments were only seen on endings of two non canon DBZ movies. I forgot which ones
I never really thought about it before but Vegeta and Piccolo kind of just have a mutual respect for each other in a way. They're 100% real and no bullshit when talking to each other, Vegeta probably respects Piccolo as well because Freeza destroyed his home planet as well as most of his race just like he did with the Saiyans so they also have that in common
The Creators tried so hard to kill him off! The Goku fans tried so hard to call him nothing! Every Big Bad tried to make him a b!tch! YET HE REMAINS! All Hail the prince of all Saiyan's!
That was straight fire at the end🥲 I never knew piccolo payed homage to Vegeta like this. Never even knew this scene existed. Piccolo walked the same path so he really knew what his sacrifice meant🫡
I forgot how many good reactions vegeta and piccolo had together. There's also the short scene after they beat cell where they e change words with nobody around.
Oh wow, i never realized Piccolo calls him his friend. I mean, everyone knows theres a mutual respect and their dynamic is 🔥. But, vegeta having remorse for the namekians he murdered, and piccolo seeing himself in Vegeta.. is just amazing growth/development.
I'll never forget this moment..Me and my father watching this together ..he pass away at the age of 832 years old those day i miss him so much... but now im 193 years old but my face is still young like 18 years old k.pop artist..
Its funny and ironic that Vegeta is Akira's least favorite character while Piccolo is his favorite, they're voiced by the same actor, they're both similar in many ways starting off as villains to anti-heroes to heroes, they have mutual respect for each other yet they never fought each other and interaction/moments between them are so awesome
There needs to be an alternate timeline movie or special where Vegeta and Piccolo are like brothers and shit is extremely dark in the timeline but they're like the main Heroes they get stuff done I would love to see both of them training in the hyperbolic Time Chamber
