Having a frugal mindset most of my life - I have a fondness for cheap or inexpensive - if given a choice. -- The 'tourist visa' is generous enough and easy enough to satisfy the requirement for the least amount of money. -- Personally - what appeals to me is the idea of a vacation every 3 years - out of country - to satisfy the vacated requirement and simply return for another 3 years on the tourist visa again ? > Those fees for the SRRV would pay for a nice little vacation - in addition to the costs of the tourist visa fees - for the 3 years - would they not ? - - - Simply the way a frugal / thrifty - mind - works !!! 🤔
I retired at 39 and am now 44, as soon as they change this law, I’m there! It’s a foolish law…they’re are thousands of us that would come, build houses, start businesses and start families…it’s only a benefit for the country😇
@@laggmonstret Inflation in Biden's America will require many to work until they die - if they remain in the US ! -- Many others will end up homeless in their last years if they are unable to work any longer. Sad but true. Moving to a country where you can afford rent & food will be essential for many.

This is the most informative video I've seen in months. Trying to navigate any government bureaucracy is a head ache so having a firm that does it is a God send.
Just to be clear on one very important issue. The Police Clearance document can be; 1. From your country of origin (if that’s where you currently live), or 2. The country of last residence if you are a nomadic expat and have residence status in another country other than your origin country. Note: The police clearance certificate must be within 6 months of your SRRV application. The devil is in the details and unless you cover these details, many folks will spend unnecessary time and money chasing documents that may prove to be invalid at the time of application.
Very clear on the required documents... But I was little unsure where I would acquire the "original police clearance" from. She mentioned local OR federal police. I am unsure what documents I would ask for at my local police station. Are just the local police documents adequate? Is there some kind of USA state department stamp or endorsement that needs to be added to my police documents? I could certainly gather whatever is required. Just not sure about what the Filipins will accept as my police documents.

I'm over 35. Prior american military. I retired early due to some lucky choices that I made. My question is, if we decide to move to the Philippines, will my wife also be able to get an srrv before 50 even though she wasn't in the military?

I am ex-military and plan on retiring at 60. Can I use my 401k to verify pension. Or should I get a tourist visa until I turn 62 when I can draw social security and then apply for the Srrv? Thank You and probably the best video I have seen on visas.

A 13a Visa is an option. It's for foreign spouses of Filipinos. (like me)A lot of the same requirements as there are for the SSRV. Whichever visa you try to acquire , be prepared for LOTS of paperwork and fees and waiting. If you can afford it, look into getting an agency like that one in the video to assist you, they may save you some headaches & frustration. Google Philippines GOVERNMENT visa websites for more info. I don't know what I would be apply for dd-214 for me would be granted because my service was part - time but I went through the basic training and the mos training just like a full time soldier, if you can help me please write back.
Hi, I'm 74 and my social services in California has me categorized as "aged & disabled". I have 1900 social security and I probably could get 5K USD from my narrow 1988 mobilehome. Tell me what's available for me for that ailing & care SRRV please. Or if not, I do get around ok, so which srrv is ok for me? I guess if I sold my mobilehome I'd need save another 5K?

This was very good info, if you come from the US, but what if you are not from the US, but from EU or any where else in the world? What if you come from Country with high retirement age, so retirement is not an option, so even if you are 60 years or older, you would need to work to stay in the Phillippines, because no retirement money?

Bro you can just go and extend your visa for a long time or take a short cheap trip to indo Malaysia etc come back and your visa resets if your usa or other countries citizens that allow you to go Philippines visa free then keep extending get your acr card etc...... you can still buy a town house or condo w/o a srrv The fees cost to start srrv and renewal fees really doesn't benefit you much its probably cheaper to extend forever in and out trips. I've been going back and from 3 month to 9 month stays no issue. If there were no renewal fee every year I'd say still maybe Just my opinion after 15 years. Hope you make it there I'm going back in 3 months take care
So I know somebody that works for the Philippine government this person has told me that the 10,000 that you deposit and can't touch the Philippine government closes that account in steals the money I can't imagine them sharing that on the news if that was the case the foreigners wouldn't come to retire what's your knowledge on that
