Why make it so difficult to go home to our mother country whom we love most. Other countries does not require E-Travel. Let us get ourselves together and turn these requirement around. Passports should be the official travel document. Most countries only check passports as required. Let’s relax these unnecessary requirement most travelers viewed as choking point. Let us all welcome all returning Filipinos to the Philippines.
Recently there have been many serious crimes committed by tourist that have overstay their visa. Also there is a silent invasion of other Asian countries citizens into Philippines.
The reason why returning Filipinos are still required to fill out the eTravel is because of quarantine or health check. Prior to having eTravel system, returning Filipinos used to fill out the health declaration form before boarding the plane. The eTravel serves as a replacement to physical health declaration forms for returning Filipinos.
they should give people the option to do online,OR fill out form prior to landing 🤷♂️🤷♂️ it’s no sweat for immigration officer to hand him form, it takes less than a minute to look at
Other countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Korea and the US are also imposing similar e-travel authorizations to incoming travelers and charge a fee for applying those travel authorizations online. Additional countries like the EU and the UK also plan to introduce their own e-travel authorizations for incoming travelers in the future. So I don't think the Philippine eTravel system is nonsense at all.

You complain so much of the Philippine eTravel system and insult the Philippines' tourism industry, but you stay silent about other countries which implement their own electronic travel authorization systems similar to the Philippine eTravel? It is not your place to determine what is required in that country or not, it is their country and they determine the entry requirements. You have to respect that.
Based on my experiences, TSA at the US airport are so strict on inspections to baggages. They need to open the baggage to see what is inside? The worst is they just throw it during loading and unloading on the plane. Results of the baggage’s are broken.

According to the E travel information system, you must register within three days of arrival in the Philippines, and not from departure from your home country.

I heard you can get a 59 day visa on arrival. Do you pay for it at the airport? Do I need a 30 day return air ticket or can get a 59 day ticket? Is the 59 day guaranteed upon arrival?
@@kadoku I know I have to have a return ticket. I am guessing it has to be for 30 days. I think it would be hard to get a return ticket for 59 days since you have to have a 30 day return ticket for the 30 day visa stamp.
What's the purpose of the E-Travel I was there last year 2023 of September I went through the immigration they didn't bother asking they stamp my American passport and went through with no problem

You can tell the immigration officer that you'll visit your girlfriend if you are asked. Because visiting someone in the Philippines is also allowed under visa waiver or if you hold a 9a visa in advance.

I'm bringing my service dog. I have a import permit from the department of Agriculture approved. Also I have all the required documentation. This is the second time I've traveled to the Philippines with my service dog. I have everything up to date on what I need. My husband created an etravel account and it did not ask for a photo then. I believe they changed and currently require a photo. Does he need to take a picture of his passport then upload that photo? He is not flying not until Aug 24,2024. He didn’t start to upload yet because his departure is in the next 4 weeks because once he starts the process, it will create a QR code like he needs to fly in 3 days.

The eTravel registration is electronically logged and will be automatically linked to your passport. So immigration officer will see if you register to eTravel or not when they scan your passport upon arrival in the Philippines.
Your second statement is also false, it's not just the Philippines that's implementing electronic travel authorization (like the eTravel) for incoming travelers. Other countries like Australia, Canada, Israel, New Zealand, South Korea and the US also impose their own similar electronic travel authorization systems for incoming travelers. Some countries are even planning to roll out their own electronic travel authorization systems like Japan, the European Union and the UK. It's being a new normal for many countries nowadays to implement an electronic entry declaration for incoming travelers.
When are they going to fix the evisa website? The consulate will only accept 9a application appointments created through that website and as of today the only country you can apply from is India.

I think you can edit the information in your previous successful eTravel registration and re-submit it, to recieve a new eTravel QR code. Just in case your flight to the Philippines is cancelled or rescheduled to another day.
Immigration officers in the Philippines will only ask for an eTravel if you haven't registered to that. Because eTravel registration is automatically linked to your passport, they will see in their system if you have registered or not when an immigration officer scans your passport.

Hi, my mom is a former Filipino and planning for 3 months stay as Balikbayan, do I need to get her an onward ticket and extend every month since 1 year stay is allowed. Or its better to get a definite 3 mos round trip ticket.? Thanks
Hindi na po kailangan ng return o onward ticket ng nanay nyo, kasi pwede naman po syang mag-stay sa Pinas ng hanggang 1 taon bilang isang dating Pinay at balikbayan. 😊
