i normally do the ashen athena voyage cuz i always get at my second voyage only devils thirst and ashen reaches which are far below in the right corner of the map
Sea forts are great at low level, drops loot for each faction, and can be easily done solo in minutes, just use a sword and hide behind a corner to funnel them. The fort layout allows you to look in all directions for enemies as well.
You also get a ton of Order of Souls stuff from treasuries, and it doesn’t matter if they sink you while you do the treasury, because the mermaid will hold onto your loot indefinitely, meaning that you can stack every treasury and then go pick them all up at the same time.
or you can just go into the Roar and do the voyages there. It's a bit dangerous there but the volcanoes are easily avoidable with practice and hardly anyone goes down there without a solid reason.
I personally find gold hoarder ashen chests a lot more comfortable. You can "reroll" the quest to get better chest spawns closer to each other and it's fairly fast to do alone :)
@@rbkii It is not that they aren't expecting pvp its just that it doesn't feel good to have been doing voyages for 2 hours just for some random sloop to appear while you are finding the last dig spot. The high stakes of pvp can make it more fun for some people, but it can feel very frustrating to lose all your hard earned loot to another ship sinking you while you are not there. The reason some people don't like pvp is just that they don't like feeling like their past hour or two was wasted. It is simply that people don't always expect to have all their hard earned loot stolen, and if you do not have the proper mindset for the pvp it can feel very annoying. But if you do have the proper mindset and are prepared to lose all your loot it can feel great. Sorry for rambling on for a while.
Merchant deliveries are probably the best for avoiding PVP, and unlike ghost fleets it doesn't draw attention to what it is. But I personally can count the number of PVP encounters I've had in the roar on one hand, and the most recent one was just by total accident that both ships approached the same island from opposite sides of the volcano and didn't see eachother.
I'm about 15 days into playing Sea of Thieves (new player), and Order of Souls is so easy to level. I actually set out to level Gold Hoarders to 15 first so I can get the Alliance Flag. I was then going to do Order of Souls, and then Merchants. While focusing on leveling Gold Hoarders I was leveling the other 2 passively and I ended up getting to level 15 for Order of Souls super fast. Skulls are just everywhere. I don't even try to stack skulls, but end up doing that while trying to get my Gold Hoarder leveled...haha. Anyways, Keep your eyes on the horizon, and safe sailing.
@@ChandlerDaughtry Unfortunately, I have no idea what it's like after lvl 20. I'm lvl 14 on Gold Hoarders, lvl 20 on Order of Souls, and lvl 9 on Merchants.....lol
I would advise doing as many fleets or sinking skelly ships period, get used to fighting. Running will only waste your time and make you frustrated. Focus most on 1. Listening for boarders (do your best to keep them off boat) 2. Always keep Canon angle on the other boat 3. Hit your chains also Hit your Canon shots 4. Fight! Keeping fighting even if you loose alot, you only get better with practice. Sot is a very pvp based game and that will never change in the high seas. Believe me day 1 all 5 or 6 of the ships were all fighting each other and learning st the same time. We were forced to learn under pvp pressure, it's the best way after all.
I like to do stuff in the devils roar because absolutely nobody goes over there for a 2 reasons. The volcanos are annoying to deal with, and it's so far out of the way from everything else. I've gone entire play sessions without seeing another ship and I play for hours on end. Everything there is worth more too because it's all ashen, so it's definitely worth it
No one sinks me. I just mind my own business. Harsly see anyone, and if they do get too close, i just dip. And if they chase me, well, they just did a lap around the whole map. And for what? If its gold they want, they could've done 5 missions by the time they catch me. 😂
Same! That's why I love slope often like just 1 other doing some small grinds then loggin often random shit maybe the odd mission from. My randompile of options I keep. If they wanted my rep items I just run till I feel like I can bail with the best to safety leaving my ship to what ever fate. (Or temping another sale run because I like to do drive by sales when I'm hunted.)
@turdferguson5932 Yes, and you can only get to like lvl 40 or so in the 3 main factions before it's capped, so pirate legend isn't possible, I just lent into playing with randoms and not running from every single fight, with some assistance from my cannon I'm turning out to be a capable sloop helmsman
Also, legend of the veil in the Roar. It's very rare for people to go there, even if you are visible on the map. If you are still scared someone will come, then play with someone and have atleast 1 on lookout. Join our discord.gg/thephuzz if you need a crew
@@Icasus You're trying to level up Athena by doing so i assume, but have you heard of Ashen Athena's resets ? I've tried both methods and i find the second one a bit more time efficient
@@MrDonalmick i'm asking Icasus if they're spamming veil's shipwrecks to level up their Athena's rep. If so, I suggested him to try the ashen Athena's voyage reset (where you only gotta go from Devil's Thirst to Ashen Reaches, back and forth) so he may be able to level up faster :p
If you’re THAT scared of PvP just play safer seas, It’s really that simple. If you play high seas you’re 100% going to end up getting contested for your loot at some point. It’s part of the game, don’t run from it. Learn and sharpen your skills for the HIGH SEAS.
@@oook.It’s definitely a skill to learn tho, sometimes it’s best to get away if you *know* you’re outmatched 😂. I’ve only been playing roughly 2 months and I KNOW there’s absolute demons who have 5+ years of experience on me. I’ll of course try my best in the fight, but if I see some Arena sails, I know my place and have no shame running. “Part of the game”, right? 😂
