I just got this beautiful book today! It is one of the best water color illustrations of botanicals by French flower painter Pierre-Joseph Redouté. He devoted himself exclusively to capturing the diversity of flowering plants in watercolor paintings which were then published as copper engravings, with careful botanical descriptions.
