Sounds like a Halsey type of song, amazing!! Karra also did amazing with the vocals :)) Sidenote: this plug-in kinda reminds me of the artist "brakence" vocal effect. Can't wait to mess around with automation and such with this 😀😀
OMG!!! A new long format video! I. So excited!! This is literally the ONLY channel I’ve ever clicked the notification bell for. I had to actually enable RU-vid notifications on my phone to make it work since I typically hate notifications. I can’t wait to watch it!!!
@@FREQKO Totally! Not only do I learn a ton of practical, useful tips but there’s just something about these videos that just makes me feel chill and happy. Not sure if it’s the color treatment, or some kinda chakra business, or whatever, but I totally love it.
Good Sunday Reid. Hope you can help me with a mic challenge. I have a charter oak SA538 that comes with a power supply It has a knob that can dial to cardioid and right to Omni in clicks. I’m recording at home in a not so amazing room. Does it matter in which position the mic is set? The middle shows a cardioid heart pic - all the way left there is a O image and on the right I have the figure 8 - I’m a classical opera singer. Would love to hear your experience cause the strength of my voice causes room reverb and when the mic is open it pics up more of the room. I did build a pvc booth with some materials around it but when I sing higher and louder it resonates and I guess that sound of distortion is picked up as well. It drives me crazy. On the O left side it sounds more mono and a little less distorted than the middle possition but it may be it’s not the right choice for recoding vocals. I have no idea. Love to hear your thoughts on the mic
I'm so angry with waves for the new Creative Access subscription only business model, I will unsubscribe and actively boycott any social media influencer endorsing the Waves business model and I encourage others to do the same! Influencer's, please take down all videos endorsing any Waves plugins in support of the community that helped to put you where you are. This is a total betrayal of any non professional/semi professional bedroom producer who has invested in Waves Audio in recent years. This is a blatant bait and switch technique. I sincerely hope the full weight of all social media comes down hard on top Waves for this utter betrayal. This community typically earn very little if anything at all, Waves know this but clearly does not care about those customers. Shame on you Waves Audio!
Literally everytime I set up my interface to do any mixing or recording....I always watch the c800g vs the slate video with the are u lonely acoustic cover I let that great sound come thru before my amateur sounds start sliding in
It’s similar to it, yes. I’ve never used alterboy myself but I’m quite familiar with it. I just like that this user interface isn’t intimidating and it has built in modulation. All around user friendly.
Hey brother! Love your videos, they really help . Could you do a tutorial purely on auto tune artist and how to use it to its full potential ? I have wave tune real time and I’m alittle hurt that I spent over 200$ on auto tune artist when wave tune is identical to it.
Hey Reid! I already have Waves UltraPitch through their Gold bundle. It seems this and Ultra Pitch are the same thing, except Bender is prettier? What am I missing?
DOPE REVIEW as always bro!! Hey, just a suggestion.... when doing your Whole Loops commercials, you should ALWAYS have the illest puppet in the game rocking out on the side (in black & white)... f**king HILARIOUS!!!! LOL!! it made me watch the WHOLE commercial (Uh... yea, I'm guilty... sometimes I scroll past the commercials lol).
Wow! Is it just me or is the resolution/lighting in this video leveled up? I can see everything in 4D. It's like you're in the room. It's almost like you're a real boy!
Reid can you suggest me any plugin similar to elastique pitch? I need to use it on the master bus, thanks! I need something very smooth and clean for an automation on the master bus
since its on the master, i assume youre doing a one-off effect for a specific section. plugins like elastique and little alter boy (and the one in this video) can work for that, but the best/cleanest option might be to export the song, load it back into your daw, and automate the pitch on on it from there. maybe cut that section out and splice it back into your original project. hope that helps!
How do you like this vs. Alter Boy? One issue I have with most formant shifters is they can leave ugly artifacts on sections that have a lot of consonants. I find myself putting the consonants on a separate track and that can be a pain. This one sounds really smooth. Do you feel it does the job better than others?
Did you find any solution? I'm tired od trying to find solution..the same situation.. clean record its ok, but when i shift i hear pops with letters like "p"... Is there any solution? It wouldn't be such problem but when i put it on speakers and turn on volume is much more hearable...
