Confusing question but we forgive you, Rado. Here's how I install and remove my plastic barends. What works best for you?

Alfredo Mancuso has a video on using a wine bottle opener to remove bar ends and it's pretty dope

Great video. Also, is there anyway to get a gyro on the devotion, or is it really pretty much impossible?

Bike shops can make the holes for you. But talk to a few different places. Go to one that looks legit, like a road race shop or someone who does alot of MTB repairs. You can also do it yourself but that's more difficult to explain. I would expect they will charge up to $35 bucks to do this job. Odyssey makes a cheap gyro kit with a cup that fits over the headtube with built in tabs, but that's for older bikes with a thinner headtube. DON'T buy that.

@@supernoobsmith5718 That’s what I thought as well but I emailed Douglas. He said that since the devotion has an hour glass head tube the gyro will not work correctly. Do you know anything about this because I have the bike and I’m pretty bummed?

@@henrysmith9119 Ok, I have a long answer....and this is based on my thoughts, not experience, please keep that in mind. Although I do run a gyro and have done so since 1986...yes I'm old, lol. Firstly, it is not impossible to run a gyro with an hourglass frame, look at this picture of a Chad Kerley Premium frame, before he was on Haro: bmxunion . com/daily/chad-kerley-bike-check-4/ (take the spaces out of this url). This shows it can be done on an hourglass frame as long as the hourglass isn't too radical. A question I have is: I see different head tubes from different Devotion pics. Some are flared at the top, and some are hourglassed throughout. Which is it for you? Here's my thoughts on doing it a bit different. A gyro doesn't rest on those tabs. It actually floats between the tension of the top cable and bottom. Knowing this, I see no reason you can't run the TABS lower, IF you use a London Mod setup with two separate lower cables instead of the 2into1 Y cable. The Y cable has a fixed housing length. But with separate cables YOU determine that length. You would not want to lower the tabs too radically though because then you would be giving the cable less room to bend. In this setup the gyro itself would be in the same spot. The only difference visually would be that some lower cable would be showing, just like the top cable shows in a "normal" setup. The gyro would never come to rest on the tabs and adjusters, which is fine, as it shouldn't do that anyway, there should be a hair of space there anyway in a normal setup. I believe this can be done. Show me an exact pic of your model of bike, and I'll ponder it some more

@@henrysmith9119 More thoughts......1. Look around at different flatland oriented resources. I would not be shocked if someone makes a cup of some sort that fits modern headtubes. 2. Contact flatlandfuel dot com. See what their thoughts are on the situation.

@@supernoobsmith5718 thanks so much man. I don’t know how I could show you a pic of my head tube, but if I tell you it’s a 2021 and grey it might help you. I will try to contact flat and fuel To see their perspective. I would like to see some different perspectives so that I make the correct choice.
