Hemp World just switched over to some really cheap carts, and we have three FULL carts that don't do anything but clog up the mouthpiece and then leak out the bottom. Pretty pissed about it. I'm glad there's a way to recover the oil that I paid good money for.
Just to add, you can set that 10 cart system on a coffee mug. I'm 100% ordering this. I hate wasting oils. I have been doing something similar, as in I've been heating my carts up in a similar way, but just to get all the oil to collect at the bott for a few more puffs, but this is great. I'd much rather just extract it.
This is seriously such a genius idea, I never throw the empty little things away, so I have dozens.. This would be incredible, is it available on the website?
@@phazedkilledyou EXACTLY I tried holding mine with plyers and heat up the metal end with a lighter and the plastic started bubbling I thought mine was glass 😭
I may end up buying one of these, I've been looking for something like this since I've had 10 empty carts! Always got a little bit left at the bottom, I want it!
@@JesseWatersIsALesbian Oh, did you try? I gonna get one for my friend's birthday...But I would like to know if it works perfectly before I send the gift
I slowly use my lighter to melt the "glastic" and while it's hot enough I loosen then pull off the top. Don't burn to where it starts to smell, just "wave" ur flame at the rivet area of the top.
Nice how to, thank you. Not to detract from your product at all I like it, I will check out the site to order, however, by using a variable/adjustable battery stick (about $25), I increase the voltage btwn 4.1 and 4.6 and you will super heat the remaining oil in that cartridge right into your throat like usual. I'd be interested to see if any more oil comes out, hence my interest in your product.
@Shane Derby. Appreciate that and thank you for watching! So super heating your oil will obviously yeild more oil getting vaporized, but escpecially with Cermic Carts once the oils level gets below the Inlet holes for the heating block when you do that and the block inst fully submerged you run the risk of oveheating the ceramic and getting bad burnt heater taste and worse ceramic micro-particles from the heater burning itself, that are harmful. So once that oil level gets low where you arent getting those rish silky vape clouds and you have to overheat and drag to get these lighter hits it might be best to retreive it and dab it or wait till you a few carts and make one cart out of it. But yes super heating will use up more of that un used oil for sure.
Man it's a smh moment for me because I've thrown away enough of those oil carts to fill the industrial sized cart dub. Granted there may have not been much reclaimed from them because they were vaped empty but I'm sure there was likely a dab or 2 left in the coil tube that I couldn't see.
@Austin Ingalls, we do get a lot of emails from people who tossed them in the pas, even the dab or 2 at the bottoms it adds up when you have that many.. make sure you keep a shoe box for the next batch.
@gwenbonilla5626,, not really because disposable pens have the battery attached to them, and to expose the Lithium ion battery to high temperatures is not recommended. that's a great question though
@Doughorwat, we have another video here about unlocking locked carts with another one of our kits, for disposables vape pens ( battery/tank) as one our pliers might be able to pry the top off as long as its blades can get between the mouthpeice and reservoir.
@@danhoff6890 More than anything I appreciate people giving a shit about their business and being innovative. Thank you! P.S. next time do a proof read (yo lu) lol
@faith1503, I never heard of that method, I would be hesitant to boil it as you cam cook some of the rubber components in your cartridge. so our extraction works Below 100C and to boil water you have to be above 100C so I dont know if that would be safe or the water catch method will work, i will scroll arround but I would reccomend doing research.
@@danhoff6890 appreciate your feedback I have a whole giant Ziploc bag full of these but I'm hesitant to start the process considering I have not seen a lot of people talk about the boiling method. Just recently seen a video of a guy who taped his carts together to make a bundle using heat resistant tape, put them upside down on a piece of parchment paper and put them in his oven I think I might try that
Don't boil it, simply put a bowl of water on the microwave for 3mins, in the meantime get a ziploc bag and put your cart inside, make sure you take as much air out of your bag as possible and seal it, take the bowl out of your microwave and leave your bagged cart inside the bowl for a minute or a minute in a half. Then tilt your cart and the oil should be able to come out easily. You can transfer your oil to a new cart, use it sublingual, eat it, dab it, etc. Hope that works for you.
@@raraito wow that's such an innovative idea, I probably wouldn't have thought of that. I'm going to try that for sure, I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks 👍
Oh my, you really can buy anything these days. Great idea but I will stick to my hairdryer/wire rack solution. No offence but it is free & I just don't have that kind of $$$ to splurge with
@Ryan Perrault, some of them you twist off, some of them pop off , and the child safety lock ones take some more finesse, you generally wear some non slip gloves and try to pull back and twist( torque) the cap without breaking the Cart.
Might work for low end carts, but I have some that are 100% not possible to take a part without breaking, nor do I think I can recover it via syringe. Shame cause I have almost half a gram of Peach Paradise I can't do anythign with because the 510 tip messed up
@Texan1048, if you check the website and cvhannel we do have a cartridge opener set, im not sure if that is exacly what you need but we posted it only a couple weeks ago, and it gets a lot of the carts open.
Can I transfer the oil into another cart because I don't even have a battery, I've been using the wire method. I have 3 carts and one is broken, can I put the wax in one of the other carts and use it that way?
@cosmiclaziness. thats a good question. 180F is a good safe general rule, but some clients have to up the temp because the oil in there is really rock solid, some go as high as 200F. , but i would start at 180 and if needed go beyone the 20 min to 30 or even 40 minutes as needed to get the oil flowing downward.
I have a slightly different question.. I have a clear mouthpiece that I can see collecting goo that appears to be identical to what is inside the cart. Is it something worth recovering or is it garbage since it has been heated and cooled. I really don’t know.
@Liuquid Rocks Aquatics, a lot of people get similar platter on the walls of larger dab tanks where the oil or concetrate gets heated , moves, and re solidifies. Several dabbers do recyle and recover it. It is more a a prevelant issue on dab tanks, but if it occured in your oil tank , it should be the same. - Hope it helps,
Hey Dan, I’m really trying to get my hands on the BeeKeeper 2.0 but cannot seem to get a hold of anyone at the 800 number.. what should I do my brother?
@Angelina Lenzzo , If the disposable units are the ovalic pod units then no it will not be compatible. this unit is primarily set up for cartridges that are about 11mm ( circular) in diameter.
True story - the other day I was draining my partly used cartridges on the job site and I just happened to run over the kit with my D-8 Caterpillar and BAM 💥 the kit survived. Sad news all the cartridges were toast, they were not produced to be construction site proof. Who would have thunk ?
@jlr3636, in all my years that has to be the best testimonial, you litterally ran it over with a bulldozer!!! LOL, now you need one of those custom pelican cases for the glass carts.. thats wild.
@mario moreno, for plastic carts you can still use it but i would turn the temperature down to 130F and leave it in there for longer like 40 min as you dont want to get to the metling point of the polycarbonate.
couldnt i theoretically take a torch to the carts in the holder instead of using a whole oven for 20 min? obviously move the torch around to prevent things actually burning, but i feel like that would do the job so much faster.
@Brutarii-that is def a creative solution, you can use different heat sources, but since torches are so hot, you do have to be careful not to overheat the glass / cart components becasue the Blue Flame parts of the torch are about 2,000F. and can actually alter the potency of the liquid inside also if your not careful.... but as you said if you modulate it properly it is definatley a way to speed things along as you focus the heatsource on the cart, getting it to teperature faster than the oven....however the oven is good because it rovies a safe, uniform , heatsource, that does the trick, with minimal inputs, only as you mentioned... Time.
@@danhoff6890 yeah i wont be cooking the oils with a torch, just lightly wafting the flame over the carts. idk if a hair dryer can get hot enough but maybe a heat gun? ive never used a heatgun so idk if the power can be modulated but that way i wont cook/burn the oil or cart components.
@@Brutarii correct, I think the modulating heatgun might be the best alternative they are like a hair drier on steroids, but way safer than the torch .
@fake syd, many of them are twist off so turn the top counter clockwise. Sometimes you may need to wear rubber gloves as it may be hard to get a good grip. Others are pull off, simply pull back. Child resistant locks are the hardest, you have to pull the top and wiggle at the same time and kind of rock it without breaking the cart in the process.
@@danhoff6890 this is brilliant. I just got my medical card. I have ptsd that was recently "re activated" intentionally at work. This is the only thing that has consistently helped with therapy. Plus...its natural no chemicals (i mainly smoke) anyways this is amazing especially bc the dispensary in Delaware is expensive.
@Greatlak, thank you for the inquiry. Becasue Vfire Pods are rectangular shapped opening using the Cartdub wont work out as intended because the openings are cut to fit circular opening 510 carts. To retreive oil, check out out oil recovery kit, and make sure to heat the cart/pod before trying to extract.
Can you please help me the dispensary near my house only sells cartridges in plastic I called them they said those could not go in the oven and withstand it so what should I do I'm also having difficulties getting the fucking thing open
@Pothead Princess 420, so for plastic carts you have to set your oven to no more than 110F which is like a hot day in Nevada but isnt going to melt any part of the cart, and you would have to leave it in the oven for longer about an hour or longer as it will be a slower recovery process since you cannot use more heat on the plastic cart. Now the issue you are having getting them open due to the locked top it wont pop off?
@@danhoff6890 I actually think it's sealed with something because the first time I ever got one open I found this weird sealant like clear and stretchy around it then I ran a knife across it and it came off again but that was on those glass cartridges this plastic one doesn't seem to have that. I've been pretty ill so even though the one that only has plastic cartridges is like 2 minutes further away than the other one I have to go to that one because I'm too weak to get up the stairs and go to the other place right now so I don't have anything from them but the place I usually would go to sells glass and they have sealant around it but these plastic ones don't have sealant they just don't want to open and when I called and ask them the Galvin answered the phone said actually I'm not really sure how you open them I just got a job here a few days ago and I'm like well that was no help.
@@MollyKuehl4790 Wow, i am sorry to here you are ill and certainly hope you get better soon. and that is terrible service to not help you like that, I honestly havent heard about dipsenariy / extractors using sealant in the cart thread but Im sure it does happen,. sometimes when you warm the cart up it will help brak the seal if they used glue. I wish i could help give you some more info to help but your disepensary makes it hard. We will have a video in about 2 weeks to show how to pop child seal carts but it doesnt sound like that is what you have.
@@danhoff6890 just try it again with the plastic ones still won't open I even used my God damn pliers nothing the top didn't turn it all the only thing that turns is the part I'm holding it just goes around in circles in my hand and the tighter I squeeze it then it just hurts..
@Dr Green Thumb, you might be able to make a couple but have you looked at the price of Stainless Steel and Aluminum latley lol? For personal use I am glad to help you get the oil out of your cartridges in any way, as that is the point of the youtube forum, so glad to help., but for commercialization the guys at cartdub do have the system US Patented...due to this I ended up working with them to develop and make the Small models for personal use to work with my oil recovery kit, as they only originally made the 100 Count unit that is for extractors only..
@@Fooney1 when you have been a machinist for as long as I have, you get so fast that you can squeeze in work here and there for people or yourself. I do free jobs for people all the time because I don’t have the heart to charge them. When I say I could pop one of those out in 5-10 mins, I’ll probably have it made it 4.
ChiefinLasVegas, there is very few plastic carts being manufactured, the few that are are made of a very thick poly Carbonate that can withstand 190F , however what cart brand do you have there, so I cna see if I know the reservoir specs.
@@chiefinlasvegas Looked up the Cresco IR, they have any acrylic moutpeice, but I am pretty sure the reservoir is glass. I have been sent samples of the dsame tank from the Manufacturer of that model from overseas and they were glass but were smooth like plastic, pletty unique, take another look / feel.
@Ember S (Bekah) , we have a lot of international clients who only talk temp as degrees C, and as wild as that sounds, we dont want anyone upset that they melted their carts lol.
@skellentor, if you have 10 Carts then the individual draining and heating will actually take longer, furthermore many heatguns heat well over 200F and you can melt your cartridges gaskets with that kind of power, so you can however use a hairdrier .
@Issac Estes, No it wont blow up lol, the instructions are to heat it at 190F NOT C ( which would be extremley hot and probably damage the glass on the tanks)lol, when I was out in Vegas in the summertime it got to 120F outside, so 195F is not dangerously hot for the glass and metal just enough to get the oil flowing , and it doesnt even change the oils potency and cannabanoid breakdown.
really this is just a fucking ad for a product there has to be some other way i got this vape juice from this pre filled delta 8 cart on my work coveralls
not safe heating up the entire cartridge vs what a vape pen heats up time for a future cancer lawsuit but the weed industry is so new i guess they wont care :)
