Awesome tutorial! Honestly you're one of the best ones I have found on here in terms of getting right to the point. I built million dollar homes before covid and the building department closing during the first few months in Keywest shifted me into my lifelong passion of restoring GM muscle cars and antique equipment. Bought a repaired panel knowing it had 2 small 50mm paint , lacquer runs This vid saved me time and money. Never thoiught of using a blade but it worked a treat Borrowed some MIRKA paper from work to smooth over then some 3m polish Thank you for posting😉

Amazing details on the same exact issue I was trying to fix!! The body filler to protect the clear coat on the surrounding area to the run is genius, someone told me about it earlier today and sent me another video to watch. Another person told me about the blade trick .. your video put all the tricks together !! One thing I’m curious about, what would the clear thickness be measured with a digital paint depth gauge in that area compared to the surrounding area?

Thanks for the video! If you are in the position where more coats are needed after the run is fixed, is there a grit you recommend so that paint will still stick?

Is that "glaze" the same thing that is used for bodywork before filler paint? Like fixing dents and stuff.. Sorry my native language is not english, so some terms like "glaze" is not familiar for me.

Hi wonder if someone can help. I repaired & spray painted a small area on my car bumper, but when I removed the masking tape it left a ridge where the masking tape was, can I get rid of this without having to respray the bumper.

I’ve never heard of body glaze before is there a certain type to use? I need to sand down clear coat runs in my car. Is there a certain brand that works the best?

I just painted my plastic spoiler and clear coat has a few runs, first how long should I wait to do anything to it? And what can I do to fix the runs

You can shave off the corners of the blade with 800 then you don't need tape . Don't understand the body glaze part .I just block sand with 1000 then 1500 ,2000,3000,then 5000.
