Best Way To Start the Day! Load of Logs and Some Sketchy Stumps! 

We had a similar experience with our new refrigerator. Ordered one from Lowe's and I think the supply chain issues caused a 6 month delay. I understand that and it's not a big deal. They got it in and when they delivered it, it fell off the back of the truck. The second one had damage from shipping when they unboxed it. The third was damaged while they were bringing it into the house and the last was was again damaged from shipping when they unboxed it. They didn't have any more of that model so we were refunded the money and we ordered the same model from Home Depot. The first fridge from Home Depot was delivered and of course had shipping damage. The last one was finally delivered and installed with no damage. After doing some research, we found this is a VERY common issue especially with Lowe's. I certainly hope you guys don't have anymore problems and get your new fridge undamaged! We love the channel and keep up the GREAT work!!!

Best way to start today is watching outdoors with the Morgans

Lowe’s and Home Depot use local contractors to install many things. They prefer to have measurements made by the installer so the correct appliance and supplies can be used for the job. They hold the installer responsible for estimating errors.

During the height of the pandemic I decided to switch from electric to a gas stove. Lowes. It took three months to get the stove here. Then, when we were converting the jets to LP from natural gas we noticed the front was dented along one edge. We turned it in, that took two weeks to get the truck here for pickup and to start the reorder. We waited for a replacement another 8 weeks or so. The system said it was there, the store said it would deliver but you know what? Nobody could find the stove! I kept waiting for the truck to pull up. Finally, I gave up, went down, got my $806 (on sale!!) back and said the well, the heck with it. Still cooking with the old one, nothing wrong with it at all, I just wanted to switch to gas.

I love the way you edited that first trailer dump. The piece of log rolling away & then slowly disappears.

Hi Mike & Melissa, Yeah, its a common thing with Lowes and most of the big box stores. We bought a new Fridge during the C-vid in summer of 21'. The first one worked for about a month then started to freeze things in the frig section including my wifes Insulin - not good. It took another 4 months to get the replacement from Whirlpool. The new dishwasher this past spring sat at the Lehighton, PA. Lowes for about 4 weeks. It was supposed to be delivered in a week or two since it was in stock. But they had mislabeled it in the store for customer P/U and there it sat until we finally got a warehouse person to locate it. And then I said I'll pick it up with my truck and deliver and install it myself. The 3rd party contractors that Lowe's employs' to deliver and install appliances are fly by nighters. I rank today's experience to purchase any big ticket items (maybe not Sweat shirts :)) up there like a visit to the dentist! Mike & Mary D. from Hellertown,PA.

Perhaps Mike, the fridge that was damaged was one that would go out right after warrantee, and God shined His face upon you guys and sending one that will last a long time. I really believe He does things like that. MIKE, same issue as yinz!! I had some new furniture delivered that the wife wanted. I had everything staged, (Tarps down, rugs moved, clear path, easy access). Bonehead awkwardly caries in the recliner himself, dropped it right in the middle of the room and gouged the oak plank hardwood floor . Kid said nothing, helper takes a picture for company insurance claim. Now it's on me to get a flooring refinisher (which is impossible to find to do the work!) Moral of story,...do it yourself.

Well so much for keeping this short...

The bx bucket on the skid loader just looked hilarious

32:30 Those pressure relieving quick couplers are nice until they leak. We didn’t even have 200 hours and they started leaking.We have a caterpillar and they are not serviceable that block is close to $500. Luckily our first one went under warranty if it happens again I’ll be taking off and putting the old style couplers on like my older skid steer has that I’ve never given me any trouble and as long as you follow the right procedure they are never a problem.

just did the washer and dryer thing from lowe's during the Holidays sales. ordered on line and set up a time to pick it up. took the trailer and loaded and came home and switched them. then did the refrigerator this weekend. nothing broke and it was way less complicated and faster. if you want something done right do it your self. it seems like every time I've done the order and wait for deliverly it was ten time more complicated then need be and something seems to all way go wrong. did the over swap two years ago and went with gas, did it all. 100 lbs bottle a year . love it over electric.

The coolest time for working up firewood and running the mill is the first two hours of daylight each morning.

When the skid steer went out of frame. And all of a sudden it’s buckets raises from behind the pile… like a monster overtaking the pile. Love these people. Lol.

I have lost hope with Lowes. A friend bought a garage door and they came out four different time because panels arrived dented. Another coworker bought a fridge and it arrived with a big gooner of a dent in the door. Finally, a washer was delivered with scratches all over the enamel finish. I have lost trust in big box stores. Took a long time to find local dealers. Peeps I trust and repair what they sell. Good luck with the appliances and thanks for all the great content. Oh, if Cliff doesn't mind....would love to see the place when the grass grows in and the building is up????

Been hearing horror stories with new fridges. Friend is on his 3rd one after damages by delivery or damaged at store. Neighbor got a damaged one and had to tell them to take it back and bring another. Another friend had something similar and on his 2nd one. I just had french doors installed and they measured wrong after looking at it twice. After 5mo discovered it was measured wrong once the doors finally came in and installer noticed they were too large. Waited another 3mo for everything to get re-ordered and delivered again and the hinges for the storm doors were damaged even though the box wasn't. Called a few weeks later and they never re-ordered them, they ordered them and came in 2 weeks later luckily and just had everything installed here last week. Been a long 10 months just for a couple of doors.

Funny thing happened watching this video. First, when you dumped that first load of dirt/ash/roots, I actually shook my phone to ‘help’ you empty the bucket. 😃 Second, and weirder, when it dumped I had the strangest smell of wet wood ash. It rained here a bit ago, and I might have had a whiff of last fall’s outdoor fireplace residue, but I only smelled it the two times you dumped the old burn pile mix. The power of suggestion maybe. But really, that’s an incredible innovation you did - Smell-o-vision! I’ve heard it mentioned but never experienced it before! 🤣

When I bought my gas stove from lowes they delivered it to the meddle of my kitchen. The delivery man said they don’t put them in place. So here I am 78 years of age have to hook it up myself. I will never buy a appliance from lowes agin. I will go to a ma and pop store from now on. Check you fridge before they bring it in your home. Make sure it’s not damaged agin. Good luck. We bought a dishwasher from Lowes two weeks ago. It took two hours like you. Still don’t have the dishwasher. We just got the call the dishwasher is at the store. We were told the installer will call in a couple days to schedule the install. Hope ours goes good! Melissa, congrats on the new stove!!!!

Mike and Melissa, I can relate to your refrigerator story, same thing happened to me, after waiting for ever for the refrigerator to come in I was excited to finally get a delivery date. My wife cleaned everything out of the refrigerator, and I cleared a path to get the old one out and the new one in. When the delivery guys unloaded the unit from the truck, they discovered that a forklift had damaged the refrigerator and most likely the compressor. Had to put everything back in place and ended up ordering from another place. Thought that someone should have noticed the damage when the unit was loaded onto the truck but after canceling the order from Lowe's we happily have a new refrigerator and it weas worth the wait just didn't need the aggravation.

Don't feel bad about not remembering what you did with something and can't find it. My wife is always telling me to put things in a certain spot so you will remember were you put it. But that is the problem, I can't remember were I put it when I need it! LOL!!! I am continually fussing at my own self cause I will find a wrench that I used the other day and not put up, and I will say to myself Is that where it goes?! No it belongs in the tool box.

Neighbor Cliff is going to have quiet the set-up when yall get finished with it. I could tell that same funny story time and time again. I dont know how many times i have put stuff up in a safe place only to forget where i put it. I bought several of those cheap 25’ tape measures from harbor freight about a month ago and just a couple of days ago, my daughter asked me for a tape and i could not find any of them. What a nice video today, very well done and very interesting. Cliff's new concrete is absolutely beautiful, I love the color and patterns and Mike, the grading looks great even wout the topsoil. I suppose you could have accomplished it w just your tractors, but the skid loader sure does a fantastic job, and you can see what's in front of you better. I guess you better be out there when they bring the second fridge, pretty sure that wouldn't have happened had you been out there supervising the first time. I agree that BX loader bucket looked pretty funny on the skid steer...when I saw you put that on there I was like what in the world are you planning to do with that...then I realized you were just moving your attachments/implements around. I doubt the BX would lift the skid steer bucket. Here in my area of Idaho I just saw a post for a log truck load of logs...$3500. When they bring out another refrigerator, maybe you better help them bring it in...maybe use your excavator to unload it and set it on the deck LOL. Seems as though you have the same problem I do with putting stuff away. Oh, I'll put it here because I know where it will be, and it'll be in a safe place so it don't get lost...wanna bet, so where is that place where I know it will be and won't get lost, I have no idea, but there should be this huge pile of stuff somewhere because I usually end up having to go buy that thing again...I obviously put it in a really safe place so that even I wouldn't lose it LOL. That skid steer when you are running it at higher speeds reminds me of my 19K M1A1 Abrams Tank Crewman days in the Army, that thing sounds like a tank as you are travelling by the camera.

OMG, I can so relate to inept people making deliveries, and it's suggested you don't offer them any assistance, because they do it all the time, and then they damage something, BUT if you did offer assistance more than likely you would have had a better way and things would have worked out for the best. So I have learned it is best to do what I feel is right in each situation when dealing with obviously inept people, and know because I assisted more than likely whatever it was turned out better than it might have. I know I have an abundance of common sense like Mike does, and not everyone does, so where my assistance pays off! :o)

Hi Mike ,be careful by the log pile .A friend of mine died because one of the logs rolled down and trapped him , before they could get a machine up and running it was to late .It happened so quickly nobody even expected it . Greetings from Germany.

Great camera work on this video! Loved the way you mounted the camera on the skid loader. About refrigerators, I once had a job at a shipyard, and they were loading a freezer full of meat (for the long journey to South America) and the crane operator dropped it on the dock. Bent it horribly. Steaks went everywhere. I ran over to Western Auto, got another freezer, reloaded the steaks and doggone if the crane operator didn't drop the second one on the dock! Returned to Western Auto, bought the last freezer in stock and they finally got it on board. I think some of the dock workers pocketed some steaks to take home :-).

Lowe’s recently changed to third party delivery and may be that way in your area. No longer do they use employees that are proud to serve you and held accountable but they contract delivery to the lowest bidder.

We just bought new appliances for our new farm house build....supposed to deliver tomorrow....just got word it will be mid-August now. And that's assuming they don't drop them!! 🙃 Love the flag T-shirt. 'Merica.👍 Can't believe there is not a flag emoji to choose from. 🥵

I can feel your pain ref. Lowes and appliances, we replaced a dishwasher and a built in oven/microwave combo unit. The openings. are a given and Lowes had to send out a guy just to measure.

Need to have a thermal blanket, first aid kit, some kind of drinking water and some snacks.

I would try raising stumps higher before dropping them ! Loosens more dirt and debris. Makes for better burning !!!!!

I was worried about the dump trailer doors also.
