That's a good idea with that paint brush. Same with the lint rollers. I'm treating a new canvas tent and everybody likes to rave about how waterproof they are but I treat every tent I get. This one will be no exception. I hate water getting in a tent. I think I'm gonna order some lint rollers because that will help to make sure there's nothing on it. Great tips, thank you! Edited to add: What do you think about using an all plastic oral syringe to directly drip it into seams?
Yeah lint rollers are a must have to remove small particles/ fibers when cleaning canvas. The syringe sounds good. I buy disposable eye droppers that would work also. Shoot or intro the seams, then brush in. Glad I could help, thanks for being part of my channel 😁
@@franny5295 I buy them 100 at a time on Amazon, as I use them to disperse precise amounts of ceramic coating onto my applicator pads. Good luck with your waterproofing your tent project !
All oils are hydrophobic to water as that is their nature. I'm not sure that linseed oil on canvas would be appropriate as I would think it would attract dirt and dust and have it stick to the top and then washing the top would probably also be troublesome. The product in my video is specifically made to waterproof and it is quite long-lasting. Do you have a lot of experience using linseed oil on canvas convertible car tops?
