IMO the 18971 isnt ideal. Yes its true you are avoiding heel cracks, however Ive found with using this piece the minifig is WAY more likely to fall off altogether and be damaged that way
Thank you. I ordered a bunch of these pieces for my display case and they fall off if you look at them too hard. Forget about moving whatever they’re in.
I just use two facing each other, one for the minifigure and then another one to grab the little bit of the figure sticking out. Works for me. Miss out on a bit of the legs but not a big deal.
@@stuflikethis no, the 1x2x1 tile piece is the safest way to stand your figures. I have done this for most of mine apart from the most expensive figures
@stuflikethis i display my1 $100-10,000 figures ina clear polybag and inside individual display cases. The $60-20s I add those in clear polybags, but sometimes I add 2 together carefully. $20 and under I just put straight up gently on bases.
Is the leg cracking really that common? I had legos for years and i don't remember that happening. Does it only happen if you keep the legs on the pegs for long periods of time?
It usually doesn’t happen fast, and usually the older the fig the more it cracks. It also could depend on humidity and stuff. It has happened to me but I know of others who it’s happened to much more
I have minifigure that released before 2007 and they are completely fine but I've noticed cracking on some of my early 2010s minifigures so idk my theory is the more you take it off and on a stud the more likely they are to crack
hey, i found this lego account, do you have a engineering-function thingy lego pack for an engineer for my free time? i need a suggestion like not too expensive, Thanks!
I personally keep every figure dismanteled in separate plastic bags in wooden box. Since i lost my lando from cloud city by cracks i will never store them like in the video
No no the studs crack my figs a lot. Plus these are not real Lego studs so they are even tighter and that’s the only reason I chose to use the other parts
@@officialcostcostoreDamn I forgot I made this comment. I have since managed to find the part on WeBrick and have brought several hundred of them, recently completing my Minifigure display stand. Realising that when I made this comment was around 2 weeks before I start building this stand. So from this comment I have realised that it has taken me 4 months to fully complete my display. Wow feels longer.
That part solves one probable but then creates another, they spread the legs in a way that it probably causes stress on the posts that the legs click onto and over time could break off or worse case, your figs look like they have uneven legs as if they were made in China 🤭 I’d still use plates, the main cause isn’t the stud but where you display them, if you have them next to a window and it’s 40 degrees in summer, yeah expect those legs to crack after a few years. Always have you figs displayed after from extreme sources of temperature. Also I’ll bet more of the cracked figs were 2nd hand played with figs that people sold as brand new.
